Everyone loved Dottie, especially our daughter who had just turned 1. The puppet show was the best and Dottie's energy was exactly what we needed for the large amount of kids we had. We made the mistake by having a candy bar out and the kids were running wild, but Dottie was so patient and kept all the kids entertained. I had to find someone last minute for my kid's birthday. With COVID, I wasn't sure if I should have someone over or not and once we decided we did, we called around and I found her on Yelp. She was available with two days notice. Was very nice on the phone. Even nicer in person. She showed up earlier than the party time, set up the games and as kids started coming she engaged them. It was a small gathering. She engaged everyone with games and magic show. She made balloons for everyone. We dint have to ask her for anything. She had the timing down. I met her at an event, and as I was inquiring with many entertainers, for my daughter's 4th birthday party, I found her website very clear with the pricing info. Contacting her was super easy - she is very responsive to emails. On the day of party, she arrived 30 minutes earlier, and did the set up for the facepainting, and she made sure all the kids that wanted to do face painting had done so, before wrapping up. Her magic show was a huge hit! I thought the kids and parents may be bored, since this has sort of become a standard now at most parties, but many parents told me how patient she was with the kids, and kept them well entertained. I ran into Dottie the Clown by happenstance while picking my sister up from her work. I was only around Dottie for a short time but, it was obvious she loved what she was doing and was great with the kids (and us young at heart adults lol). Any one who knows me knows that I have had a clown phobia since I was little girl. BUT Dottie gave me literally zero creepy vibes. In fact she had quite the opposite affect on me, I actually felt perfectly at ease around her. Roberta aka Dottie the Clown is someone who I've seen many times at my company's Children's Christmas Party every year. I contacted her right away and sure enough I was able to book her for my son's birthday party. She was amazing with the kids. Not only did she get the kids attention, but the parents as well. Dottie came to our son's 6th birthday party at The Pizza Party in Santa Clara. She arrived half an hour early and left half an hour late but didn't charge us extra. She brought her cute big chair and booth to set up for face painting and she did balloons also. We had a lot of kids so we opted for just those two activities. She did bring coloring pages for the kids too though for them to do while she set up. The kids were mesmerized by her as were the adults.
