Proprep was recommended to us by our wedding planner, and they went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect! They were professional, efficient, and set up and broke down the space seamlessly. A huge shoutout for going the extra mile: cocktail tables were accidentally left off our final order, and the owner personally drove to Morgan Hill, picked them up free of charge, and had them beautifully set up before our event even started. As a bride, I didn't even know this had happened until days after the wedding! That level of service and attention to detail meant so much to us. We truly appreciate Proprep for making everything look beautiful and, most importantly, taking care of the details so we didn't have to. Highly recommend! read more

I would definitely recommend Pro Prep Events. She was so nice. She came on time and she set up the tables, chairs and sashes. I told her exactly what colors I was looking for and she had them. When she came she even showed us brand new table cloths that she got and asked if I wanted those instead. I would 100% recommended pro prep events read more

I've known Maricela b4 this business. She has always had an eye for this. I've witnessed her creativity grow with the many experiences & events she's done. There is no other person I had in mind for my big day. I hesitated to use her tears back bc I assumed she would be too expensive. To get honest I was so blown away by my over total. Maricela makes fancy / nice look amazing on a budget. She knows how to be so creative and improvise. When Covid hit and prices sky rocketed, she tried her best not to raise her business prices. A women with a heart and passion to genuinely care and take care of her customers. I love how honest she is and determine to back her style up. I fully trusted her for my wedding. I told my coordinator I hired... to let Maricela guide / lead. I even gave that direction to my florist who in fact Maricela helped me find. I will use her again. I cry looking at my pics. The details mean everything. She really made my dream wedding happen with my budget. Her warehouse has EVERYTHING!!! She set up and cleaned up soooo fast! I'm just lucky she had time to do my wedding! I'm blessed to call her my friend. I came to Maricela with all my ideas... then she took over and exceeded successfully on everything. I love her!!! I highly recommend her & if you use her... don't forget to tip after. She doesn't aak for tip, but the effort she puts in... bless her heart! Keep her business going ya'll! By the way if you follow her IG... holy smokes... the events she's done will make you want to throw a party. She can do it all! read more

My fiancé and I found the perfect venue but wanted draping to really tie in the elegant look for our wedding. We had originally hired someone else but 2 weeks before our wedding they canceled! We were devastated! I called Maricela from pro prep events and she was so compassionate and understanding and said she would do our draping for us! She literally saved us in a situation where we felt so lost. I can't say enough good things about Maricela and Pro Prep Events! Our venue looked perfect!! It was everything we wanted and more!! If you're looking for party rentals or event designs I highly highly recommend hiring them for any event! read more

All of the below was brought to the attention of the owner of Pro Prep Events a few days after our Luau party. Her response was defensive and she blamed us for most of her shortcomings. Not at all how a business owner should react. Summary: The Party Planner was 45 minutes late for the first appointment. Owner said she had us confused with someone she had already met with. Did not return calls or emails on three or more occasions. Had to keep contacting the owner Was late for second in person appointment. Arrived late on day of party to decorate. She said she would be there at 3:00 to finish decorating. She arrived a little before 4:00. The party was to start at 4:00. She said she thought the party was at 5:00. Family and friends decorated the dessert table and finished the rest of the tables that the owner said she would come back to finish. Rented 8 uprights. One did not work and another was stuck on the wrong color. Specifically requested no artificial flowers in the centerpieces, just sand, shells and candles. 2 center pieces did not have candles, all 5 center pieces had artificial flowers. The Dessert table was poorly decorated. Party planner only provided some platters/riser dishes for the desserts. We agreed on Avocado, Fuchsia and Yellow for table cloth colors. Instead of avocado, there was a blue table cloth. The Cake was supposed to have a surfboard, flip flops, sand and a palm tree on top, another palm tree on the second tier and nice flowers on the lower layer. The only decor on the cake were loose artificial flowers hair clips. The name on the Cake was wrong. It looked nothing like what was requested. The Cake pops were supposed to be a Tiki theme. Instead they were pineapples. We agreed the end of party pick up crew would come back at 10:30 PM to remove the tables, chairs, etc. They arrived before 10:00 and asked if we were almost done. We felt rushed to end the party. Find another party planner! read more

My husband and I got married on November 11th, and we had a wedding reception at Ta Restaurant. After hitting a bump with another decorator, I reached out to Maricela, and she was incredible. We scheduled a quick phone call consultation to go over my thoughts and see if it'd be a good fit. After that, she met us at the restaurant to lay out our specific ideas in regards to lighting, draping, and other decorations. She also met us at the restaurant a few weeks before the wedding to go over final details and questions. On the day of, she absolutely exceeded our expectations! We didn't have a big decor budget to work with, and Maricela totally made it work for us regardless. In the end, she provided two beautiful and subtle backdrops, ceiling paper lanterns (they were a huge hit), table numbers, sequin tablecloths, and an easel for our sign. Maricela was so easy to work with (though a little chatty), so accommodating in her scheduling, and 100% worth what we paid. Don't hesitate in hiring her. Thanks so much, Maricela! read more

I gave my daughter a small sweet 16 birthday party. I had a picture in my head of how I wanted the room to look. I told her what I wanted and she gave me that and a lot more. From what I have heard and seen in regards to Maricela, she is the best. However after several emails and a phone call that was not returned, I'll never get the chance. I had reached out to her March 22nd via email, twice and she leave me a voicemail. I did call after 6, because my only time to talk are when I'm not working full time. 2 emails later, explaining that, I did not hear from her again. I'm sure she is extremely busy and has other clients with wedding season around the corner, it would've been nice to be given the opportunity. Hopefully others get better service cause I am so bummed! read more

This is the kind of local business I Love to work with. Maricella and her staff were easily accessible by phone or stopping by their warehouse. Maricela was amazing! She made my wedding so much less stressful. I told her what I wanted and my vision. Right there in her office set up a table that was perfect. She added on draping, she set up everything at the venue. It was gorgeous and the pictures make me smile. The most important day of my life she really came through. I literally just showed up and got married and the rest was taken care of. Her prices are affordable and really competitive so your money will go a long way with Pro Prep than other vendors. Thank you Maricela! I'll send your more pictures when my photographer is done editing! My sister is going to get married in the near future so I'm sure we will be seeing Maricela soon. read more

Unfortunately my experience as well as for many others, made a HUGE mistake hiring Maricela Reyes. Not only is she fraudulent and conducts business in a very poor manner. She is by far the last person I would ever refer anyone to; I am hoping those of you who are considering hiring her for any kind of event double check her references. Log onto http://www.sccaseinfo.org/civil.htm, click on party case info, enter Pro Prep Events and THERE YOU GO!!! Black & White you fool no one Maricela, I sincerely hope you pay a high price for all the innocent people you have burned. I myself run and operate my own business and never have let a client down. If my clients pay upfront and I do not perform services, with out a question I always reimburse their money. It's the moral thing to do and you'll never have to fear for bad referrals or reviews. read more

Maricela is the BEST!!! Made the wrong choice of getting a "packet" for my wedding (FOOD + Hall Décor) with someone else. Friday night before the wedding I called Maricela to ask for her help. Even though it was just a day before the wedding she said she would take care of it. The day of the wedding I had no idea what the hall was going to look like. I walked it and it looked AMAZING!!! Everything is great quality and she gives it a special touch. I have been recommending her to all my family and friends. read more

Maricela made my wedding day complete with all the decorations that brought my vision to life. Everything was breath taking. It was elegant and classic. I know my wedding would not have looked any better if i had not used Maricela. Our guests kept coming up to me and saying how beautiful everything looked. I dont think they had seen anything like it. I know i had only seen that on tv. If it wasnt for her taking pictures and sending them to me i might have not seen what it looked like before everyone showed up. Those pictures are priceless to me. Its what i get to show my kids and grandkids one day. My quick tip is not skip on the decor beacause its what sets the atmosphere in your wedding. Also drapping does wonders to give the room that extra elegant look and Maricela is the best at decorating. Thank you Maricela. She worked with our budget and made the hall look AMAZING!!!. I would definitely use her services again and recommend her. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Do not even attempt to do business with her (Marisela) she is a biatch!!!! My fiance and I wanted to change our order because my fiance's sister surprised us with getting us linens and stuff. But marisela would not have that. She even started raising her voice at me when I calmly tried to explain our situation. How rude is that.?! Especially if you call yourself a "professional". She kept on interupting me and wouldn't even let me speak!! Obviously no one taught her any manners. So we couldn't even negotiate the deposit back because supposedly its on the contract that we never signed!!!!! So this was not the worst part about it. She even hung up on my fiance and I. And it was on two seperate phone calls. How can she even stay in business!?. Do youself a favor and NEVER do business with this BZ.But it's ok it worked out like this.. We got linens for $10 napkins for 35 cents and charger plates for 70 cents. If you need a good place for all this stuff write email me at eli_v_2004@yahoo.com. I hope you read this marisela you shouldn't have been so rude read more

I used Pro Prep Events for our wedding on September 9th 2012. Maricela Reyes the owner and "wedding designer" is NOT a detailed oriented, organized and trusted person! After I paid in full a month before the wedding, it was very hard to contact and communicate with her in a timely manner. Maricela lost our invoice one month before the wedding and when I met with her to see a full table set up she tried to remember for what we paid and also she showed up with a linen, napkin and one charger. Really?! That how my wedding tables look like?! After my husband emailed her and almost fired her about a week before the wedding she finally put the table together to us to see it! It was awfull!!! After the wedding some of our guests wondered why they didn't have the fancy chargers at their table for which we paid?! I asked Maricela and she told us that the waiters supose to put them on the table. Unbelievable!!! We paid Maricela to be fully responsible for the entire set up NOT the waiters to verify her work! I told Maricela that our expectation is to be reimbursed for the work that was not done. Maricela responded very rudely " I owe you 75 cents". We paid almost 5k for 10 tables and room set up. Also she wants to use our wedding pictures for advertising without our authorization which is not correct because the design was done by me, my friend and our florist Simon from Blooming Bouquet.!!! Organize a wedding supposed to be a nice experience but in my case Maricela managed to make it the absolute worse experience! I am thoroughly distraught and utterly dissatisfied with her service. I made a huge mistake hiring Maricela Reyes for the most important day in my life, she is by for the latest person I would ever refer anyone to. I highly recommend our florist Simon from Blooming Bouquet, he is the best event designer in the bay area and he just opened his new business Events Galleria. read more

Maricela was absolutely amazing!! She brought my daughters vision for her quinceanera to life and somehow managed to make it even better. She made the planning of our event stress free. Everyone at the quinceanera kept telling us what a great job Maricela did and how it was the most beautiful event they had ever attended. Her work is beyond, it literally made my heart skip a beat when I first walked in. I cannot stop watching the video that she took of her work before the guest arrived. AMAZING!! read more

AMAZING WORK! Maricela is the best of the best! We were so amazed at the work done by Maricela and her staff for our BIG DAY. Maricela provided the beautiful table linens, plates, glassware, decorations, staff, lighting, everything we needed for our wedding reception. You can tell Maricela absolutely LOVES what she does, it shines through her work. She goes ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure your event is spectacular! When we walked into our reception hall, we were left speechless. Maricela had texted me a few pictures throughout the day, so I could see how it was all coming together, but it was nothing compared to what it looked like when we got there, it was AMAZING! We went to Maricela on a budget and not really knowing what we wanted our reception to look like. We trusted her vision, and are so glad we did. She made it look classy and elegant, exactly what we wanted! She went above and beyond giving us references for other vendors, such as Mariachis, food, even provided us with advise on her past experiences regarding planning our big day. Her staff did all of the setup and tear down of the reception hall, as well assisted with during the reception and were AMAZING! Very professional. A++. I highly recommend Pro Prep for your next event. I can't wait to plan my next one! read more

I have known Maricela Reyes for over 17 years and have watched her business develop and grow. I have been very happy to be her client, and friend. What I have noticed about her, which drives me crazy, is that she continually gives extra and does not charge for it. But when she gets a vision in her head, she wants it to look spectacular and she goes the extra mile for her clients. Maricela is a genuine person and has a heart of gold. She is very talented and I would gladly recommend her and have done so many times. Each event has turned out beautifully and has resulted in referrals. Her website includes many testimonials, including one from my wedding. She is currently assisting me with my husbands birthday party and I am really excited to see what she comes up with. My only response to Cynthia's review is that I understand wanting your money back, but in most cases you don't get it back if you cancel an event. I lost my deposit on my parents Surprise 25th wedding anniversary party when I cancelled due to my grandmothers heart attack. I lost my deposit at the Napredak Hall, Mariachi Tapatio and the deposit for the caterer. It was disappointing but it was clearly stated in the contract so I had to take it as a loss. I think its very generous of Maricela to offer any client a credit that they can use at a later time, I only wish I had been offered something similar. But in any case, I think that Pro Prep Events is great and would highly recommend Maricela and her services to anyone. read more

Wow! We took Maricela's business card after attending a Kaiser Permanente corporate party. Pro Prep Events set the mood & evening's theme with her decorations throughout the reception room. Unfortunately, I am unable to review Maricela's work as she was completely unresponsive to my requests. I received her contact information from our venue for our wedding. When I contacted her via her website, I didn't hear back until I sent a second follow-up email, 5 days later. The response I got was short and to the point: "I always suggest you make an appointment would it be possible to meet?" I responded immediately and got no response until I sent ANOTHER follow up email 7 days later. Her reply was even shorter this time, saying "I'm available today Wednesday and Thursday" end of email. Again, I replied immediately and GOT NO RESPONSE! 8 days later I replied again and said she's obviously at capacity and is unable to take on new clients and I will look for another vendor. It is very disappointing to have a vendor ignore requests and not just come right out and say they are overwhelmed with clients and just can't take on another one - I would understand that more than being ignored and have to play tag. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend or ever try to use again, Pro Prep Events. read more

The main person in charge for this place, Maricela is a very sneaky and dishonest person. We hired her for decoration at the wedding reception venue and she is very expensive. She is definitely not worth the money spent. Communication is poor, her responses are rude, and be careful what is on your invoice. If you don't want something or are not sure at the moment, don't put it on the invoice. She charges you half of the order on the meeting day and there is no refund on the amount you give her. If you should decide to change something, make sure she doesn't add extra items to your invoice that you never asked for. Also, when we decided to take some items off the invoice, like no chair covers, she decided to add tax to the invoice when there was no tax charge before so we ended up not really saving any money. We made the changes before the final 30 day period. If you should decide to use her services anyways, make sure the total on the first invoice you get is your final total and no other charges are added later. She also didn't have the reception venue set up at the agreed upon time. Some of my friends had to help set up the guest tables. Look elsewhere for a more dependable, honest, nice, and less expensive vendor! read more
