So after a quick search, I called the shop ahead of time and the lady on the phone was very personable and confirmed that they indeed do sell garlic ice cream, but they keep it in the back room so we would have to specifically request it, and no free samples. This was all fine and well for us, and I was looking forward to meeting her after our friendly chat. Unfortunately, our ice cream server was not the same person I spoke with over the phone, but a younger male who was honestly quite rude to us. He was not very helpful when answering questions about the flavors and looked annoyed that he would have to go to the back when we asked to purchase a scoop of garlic ice cream. On the plus side, the vibe of the parlor was very cool and old-timey, a perfect fit for the surrounding downtown area. Garlic ice cream: Very garlicky but also satisfyingly sweet enough to not be overwhelming. Glad to have tried it once. I was told the shipping department was not there but I would get a call back. They never called back. I emailed and never heard from them. About a month after I placed my order I submitted a dispute with my bank. They issued a temporary credit. Then, I received part of my order a few days later, NOT the whole thing. I just got a note from my bank saying the merchant said they did send me the order, so I am now being charged for the full amount. Years ago, this place used to be great. Not anymore.
