I honestly have no words…read more As someone who's pretty apprehensive about stuff like this, I spent a good amount of time researching the best places to take my laptop to get repaired. It's an older laptop, but it's a powerhouse, and I really didn't want to see it go. To be honest, I originally thought it was just a battery issue. After their inspection, I found out the motherboard and pretty much everything else was fried. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous knowing the follow-up conversation about next steps was coming. But Alex, one of the people who runs the shop, was not only upfront and honest, but took the time to explain everything to me and walk me through the best options. It never felt like a sales pitch. He genuinely seemed like he had my best interests in mind, and based on my past experiences, that's pretty rare to find. They ended up replacing my motherboard and even let me keep the old one. On top of that, they went out of their way to clean and repair two buttons on my keyboard that I didn't even ask them to fix. I thought that was incredibly kind and really says a lot about the level of care they put into their work. Value was definitely there, fair, and worth it. That kind of white-glove service is really hard to find nowadays. Alex and the whole team, if you're reading this, I'm seriously so grateful for the time and care you put into my laptop. I called at 4:15 pm and was told they were 25 minutes away. I called at 5:01 and the voicemail said the office was CLOSED and here it is 5:15 and no one EVER ARRIVED. I realize compared to other jobs this company has, my job was small and not worth a lot of money. However, the measure of a great business is to treat small customers as well as your big customers. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. Where do I start, well first they asked me what was wrong. I told them that the laptop shuts off…read moreby itself but the battery light is still on. Then the LCD screen needed replacement plus a full diagnoses. Well, they fixed the LCD for a good price. Then came back to me with a higher quote saying that it was a 4k 133mhz. Which I already explained that to them earlier with them not understanding. Still, no problem. I am very easy to work with and was the whole way, until I got my laptop back that is useless now. Well, I pick it up and you really do not see anyone to talk about the issues when you drop it off or pick it up. That's strike one. Secondly, I pick it up and get home it still shutting off. Strike 2. Now the main issue, if you do a full diagnoses they should have known it was the GPU. Because it lags with game play. I tell them that and then they act like we did what you wanted and the motherboard needs replacement. First, they should have diagnosed it, and saying that before we even proceeded forward. This was one of the worse experiences I have had with any company. I should have had my brother tell me, as he is an IT. He would have known right away when it shuts off that is internal. But I wanted to give him a break because he does it all day. So, I had to pay about 3 hundred for easy labor or diagnoses. But they just updated the GPU driver and cleaned it. But yet didn't notice that it was useless. Now I am stuck with a razer laptop that is basically useless and I paid 800 bucks for an LCD screen new battery and diagnoses. If they would have done their job with the diagnoses I would have paid just like a 99 for diagnoses, which would have been fine. Oh and get this they wanted to sell me a new battery adapter for 180 bucks. I mean I would stay clear from this company. You cannot even speak to someone face to face. Then they tried selling me stuff I didn't need. Worse experience ever, and I will be putting in a claim with my cc company asap.
