This place used to be great. I don't know if it's new ownership or what, but now I kept dealing with someone who just would not listen to me. My computer wouldn't boot to windows, system repair, system restore, safe mode, nothing would work. I asked them to install new hard drives, that I included, with windows 10 and they didn't, even though I was charged for it. Got my PC booting, but first time I reboot it and it hangs again. Took them a week and calling several times just to get this much. I don't want to go back there because I just don't trust them with my PC. Use to be wonderful service, but now I'm willing to write off money lost to them as a lesson learned. read more

My son's laptop was running hot. The fan appeared to be functional, but wasn't able to cool the system sufficiently while playing games or streaming videos. Antonio was very professional and courteous when we called to ask about service for this issue, and when we dropped the laptop off. After investigating the problem he said the fan was not malfunctioning, but this model of laptop has a reputation for the fan not being powerful enough to keep the system completely cooled when gaming or running other resource intensive applications. The manufacturer (HP) did not offer any alternatives for replacing the fan with an alternative fan. Antonio recommended two things: 1) cleaning the fan and air vent to remove dust and other build up and 2) purchasing a cooling pad to set the laptop on, particularly when gaming or streaming videos. We authorized the cleaning and the laptop is now back to running as it did during the first year or so after we bought it, i.e., it gets warm, but not hot. We will be purchasing a cooling pad or OPlolar unit (QuickFix doesn't sell either of these, and recommended we just buy a mid-priced pad or similar product on-line). Both the time to repair and the price were reasonable. Antonio seemed knowledgeable and professional. I would have given them 5 stars except that when I picked up the laptop, he forgot to give me the power adapter (and I didn't think about it at the time), and so I had to stop by another time to pick it up. He apologized and noted he had another customer who he was working with on a complex issue when I arrived, so he was a bit distracted. They were in the process of remodeling/updating this location, so they seem committed to their business. I would definitely use them again for other repairs of PCs or laptops. read more

This company never got back to me about a laptop I spilled water on and seeking hard drive extraction. After a month and going in multiple times, I was met with constant excuses and the last I heard it was being taken apart and 'processing' (which was what I heard for 3 weeks). I kind of gave up because they never stopped giving excuses, and never called me back and I really feel as though they just took my laptop for parts because they couldnt fix it. I had a lot of old files on that machine and I am extremely upset by this situation because for a month I could not get any straight story about what was going on with my laptop or where it even was. I'm still waiting to hear about it about 1.5 months later for a simple hard drive data recovery. At the very least they could have called to have it returned to me but i'm quite busy and this has not happened yet. read more

Horrible! Charged twice for the same problem that was never fixed. AND to top it all off they deleted EVERYTHING on BOTH of my drives. I originally took my PC to this location because it was in my city and seemed convenient. My PC would randomly restart. Sometimes when using memory intensive programs like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom and sometimes while just browsing the web. I took it here and got it back in a reasonable amount of time. Upon pick-up, I was told it was "Corrupt Files" and that was it. No invoice, no receipt with the problem or the method used to fix it. No receipt at all. Whatever, I took it home, set it back up and it seemed to work fine. They did delete almost everything off my boot drive (Samsung 500 SSD), but I figured that was fine and expected because of the work they had to do on the machine. Well, it started happening again a few days later. Computer would randomly restart. Initially, it would be maybe once a week. Then it went to almost everyday, to everyday and then to multiple times in one session. I brought it back and they said they would take a look. Well after two weeks with no call, I called them and they said it had been done for a few days and to come pick it up. Would have been nice to get a call, email or something! I pay the man and take the computer back home (This time there was a digital receipt with the price, but not the problem they discovered or fixed). I plug it in and immediately see that my computer ha been wiped clean, but it logged in. This was fine. Again, like the first time I took it in, I expected the boot drive to be partially wiped or completely wiped and restored to factory settings. This is where it gets really bad and why I'll never go back to these unprofessional thieves. I do photography as a hobby and I had a 6TB WD Black drive inside my tower to store all my photos and video from trips and projects. I couldn't locate it in the File Explorer Tree on the left so I opened up Disc Utilities and there it was. 6TB of 6TB free it says. (ugh) However, this hard drive is set to "Offline" The message was "This drive is set offline due to a policy set by the administrator." I don't know this part for sure, but it seems like they deleted the drive (on accident or on purpose I'll never know) and then tried to hide the fact that they erased everything. I had everything on this drive. I drove 16 hours to Oregon to photograph the Total Solar Eclipse 2017 and had thousands of photos and videos from previous photography trips. ALL GONE. I brought it back and he just tells me "We didn't touch that drive, we wouldn't touch that." Well, shit, it was fine before I brought it in and now it's completely erased. How the fuck does an IT professional do something so wrong?! I took it back and he said he'd have a look. After another two weeks with no call, I just went in after work. He proceeded to tell me the same thing and then said he'd have his specialist look into it. "He's really good. Free of charge." (Thanks, but you just deleted that last few years of my life) I knew this "other guy" wouldn't be able to do shit, but I left it there with the 1% chance that something could be saved. Well, it was another disappointment. I went to pick it up and Maen wasn't working. It was some other guy who didn't give two shits about my situation. So in the end, I paid for the same problem twice (almost $400) and got not ONE, but BOTH my hard drives erased completely free of charge. The worst experience I've ever had with a business. I wasn't going to write this review because they seemed nice, but the level of incompetence and error was too much. Plus, I just got my computer set back up again and it did the random restart thing again. Stay FAR FAR away from these guys. Lost a lot of money, time and memories I'll never go back to them and recommend others look elsewhere. read more

I took my laptop to them last year in November to get the power jack replaced. The technician performed the work and my adapter worked fine again. - But later I noticed that the screw in the laptop casing at the power adapter side was not installed which caused a gap in my laptop shell when opening and closing. I tried going back there today (1/5/2020) but found that the place was empty and being gutted by workers. So, it looks like that I have to deal with the issue myself. read more

First off, this only applies to the Mission Viejo location and to the new ownership. Long story short, this shop exhibits nothing but incompetence, zero customer service, false promises and straight up dishonestly. The person I dealt with seems very nice, but its a thin disguise. I took my Macbook pro here. They couldn't find the root issue, but recommended a new motherboard. After the replacement and several hundred dollars later, the exact same pre-existing problem remained. Despite taking it back multiple times and roughly a dozen calls to them, it was never resolved. I finally took it back to Apple, who essentially proved that a new motherboard was never installed and charged me for the same repair(motherboard replacement). The owner refused to answers my calls or return my emails and has had numerous chances to resolve this. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I have a MacBook I got off Ebay that I'm going to give my son for Christmas after I replace the hard drive with a Solid State drive and upgrade the memory. But one of the screws wouldn't come out and so I could not get the back completely off to replace the memory. I did a quick internet search and saw QuickFix was close to me. I called and talked to Alex and told him my issue. He said to bring it in and that he could get the screw out. I headed right over and sure enough, he got the screw out. He asked me if I had the memory with me. I did and he replaced that for me to right on the spot. We checked to make sure the new memory worked and he put it all back together. They must pay for their fraudulent nature and rude behavior and they will... Here is the Story.... I took my HP Pavilion i7 Laptop for repair because there was no display on screen. I handover my laptop to Maen. He told me that there is problem with motherboard so i have to change new motherboard. He told me that it will cost $180 to repair my laptop. I agreed and left them my laptop to fix with new motherboard. After few days Maen call me and inform me that laptop is fix and ready for pickup. I went to pickup laptop very next day. Maen show me the laptop. i ask if everything is good with laptop. i start laptop, it looks like it was fixed. I ask the price for fixing, Maen told $240 . what the hell he is saying! I left my laptop to fix at $180 now he is asking for $240. Maen told the laptop was fix sending outside and motherboard was replace. I ask Maen to give me my old motherboard, he told me that he do not have. I got Surprise! Then i asked him how could i know that laptop is fix with new motherboard? Later on after few discussion Maen told me they did not put new motherboard, they just fix my own old motherboard. I ask him if he just repair my old motherboard why he charging me $240? It was agreed that he will repair my laptop replacing new motherboard in $180 but now he is asking $240 for repairing my same motherboard! I told him if i had to pay $240 repair my laptop with new motherboard? but he refused to do so. How fraudulent the man Maen and this repairing center is. I had a long discussion today for asking me to pay $240 to take my laptop. I'm SO thankful for this place! My 2015 Macbook pro died and was no longer under warranty by just a few months. One person told me I would just need to get a whole new computer (eeeek!) and someone else misdiagnosed the problem altogether. Apple said a new motherboard was like $1200. As a photographer, all of my work depends on my computer and it's the most expensive thing I own. I felt like Maen really understood how scary this was for me and took the time the time to find a workable solution... because I wasn't going to be able to replace a computer so soon after getting it, and I also couldn't work without it, either. Maen gave me a loaner computer free of charge, and then looked around for a week and found a place that could replace the motherboard for way less than what everyone else was asking. It turned out that one of the fans was broken, which is what led to the overheating on the motherboard, and so they even replaced that for free. All in all, it was like $600, like half of what I was afraid I was going to have to pay. All my data and apps and all were intact, so I could basically pick up where I'd left off. I had to wait a little over a week, but it was totally worth it and if anything ever goes wrong with my computer again I'm going to head back there ASAP! They're really trustworthy and reliable, and a few weeks later, my computer still works great. Oh, you do get a warranty afterwards anyway so definitely recommend going to them - there's no risk to you. read more

Jay at QuickFix sure saved my bacon. I am a CPA and the connector on my ultrabook for my power adapter broke on April 1st leaving me with only a rapidly dwindling battery for a power source. (I only wish that it was a joke). Jay explained to me what may happen along with possible options and prepared me for the worst outcome, which was about a 50% chance. Much to my surprise, Jay was able to fix my power connector and my laptop is working perfectly again. Given the way the connector was attached, I am extremely surprised that it was fixable. Update....change in management makes a world of difference. Wow talk about a change in customer support!!! Antonio called me after seeing my concerns as a repeat customer and made it right. I commend him on his professionalism and support. You can read below what happened but he took the time to call me and offer to fix the issues the previous management wouldn't. He knew it was wrong and was apologetic about the experience. I was worried about going back but he offered to repair the issue and made sure everything was done quickly. I have never been more surprised by how well he took care of us and was calling to keep us aware of when the parts came in and adjusted his schedule to work with us. I would definitely feel comfortable about going back in the future !! Thanks again, Antonio. ----------Before management change ----- Broken power connector. Took in to have repaired. This is the second time so I wanted to use the same company that repaired it the first time. They fixed the issue but damaged the motherboard so no the battery will no longer charge. It was charging before I took it to them. They took a week to do the initial repair then had the laptop another week to try again. They also broke the clips on the cover and agreed to replace it at their cost. I guess I'm just still upset that they won't repair what they did in damaging the motherboard so it will no longer charge the battery. That's part of owning a business is to take care of the customer and in my case they did not. No instead of a laptop we have a desktop. Which does no good for a consultant who travels to clients to conduct business. Perhaps they are better suited to service desktops. read more

I found Quick Fix through Yelp. I took my nephew's MSI notebook in for repairs. This MSI notebook was barebone which my nephew had custom built to his specifications for gaming purposes. My nephew who lives in Michigan took it to a local repair shop in his area which failed miserably in trying to fix it. Then we talked and took it to the manufacturer itself(MSI) and shockingly they were idiots. First of all the drivers on their website is not updated....MSI had us load the wrong drivers. When we sent the notebook to MSI, they did not completely troubleshoot it. After finding one issue with the notebook, they figured that it only had that 1 problem...wrong...found out there were other issues with the notebook. Being a barebone notebook, MSI does not fully support their notebook...which was ridiculous. So, they shipped it back to me and I had to find a local place. The first local place I took it to(see my other review), is where my company used to take all their company notebooks to, BUT I was shocked when they told me they don't work on MSI notebooks...REALLY? They only work on certain brands...so they had WEAK skillset. AFTER 3 PLACES THAT FAILED, Quick Fix in MV came through for me. This place is GOLDEN. Jason the tech really knew his stuff. he found several things wrong with it and he fixed it all. Complete troubleshooting. I definitely recommend this place, and specifically ask for Jason. And to top it all off, the price that they charged me was cheap...honestly I was expecting much more. If there is one minor gripe that I have, is that it took a little longer then expected...but I understand. I will have my complany take all our notebooks/PCs here for repair. I really recommend QuickFix. I had a Dell laptop computer. The power jam was broken due to a falling. The power is on and off, and the battery was not charged anymore. Before going to QuickFix, I went to a store named "Get It Fixed", which is also in Mission Viejo. The guy over there charged me $40 for inspection, and then told me the mother board had to be changed, and the repair would cost more than $300. Then, luckily, I found QuickFix. After a free inspection, the manager informed me that the jam can be repaired, and the price might be around $100. Finally, he fixed the jam, and charged me only $70. The laptop and its battery work again without any problem. I really appreciate the professional service in QuickFix. read more

These guys are good! I needed my keyboard replaced on my Mcbook Pro and also had some issues with the mouse pad. Took it to the Apple store and the "Geniuses" wanted to charge me $700+. So I took it to Quickfix and they diagnosed the computer for free and told me it'll cost about $250 to fix everything. That included a motherboard cleanup! Needless to say, they did a great job and fixed everything. Their customer service is great and they're very professional and helpful. If you have any computer issues take it to them. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was looking for a place to have my sons PS4 repaired since the HDMI port was clearly damaged. This is apparently the most common problem with PS4's from what I gathered in my research. Since the problem did not seem to be too complicated and we didn't want to wait take the time to send it into Sony I decided to call around to local computer repair shops to see if they could fix it. When I called Quick Fix they said "sure we can fix anything", so I brought it in. They were not very friendly when we dropped it off and I was immediately concerned that they didn't say when they would get back to me with an estimate for the repair. Because their name implies that they are quick to fix things it was already a bad sign when they were obviously in no rush to do this with our PS4. Just as I was afraid of, they did not contact me that day or the next. When I called them they said they had to order the part. I called a few days later and they said the part was not received and that it was 3-5 days shipping. After a week passed I called again and they said they would check on it and call me back in a FEW minutes. They did not. I called the next day and they told me that the company did not send the part and they were having one shipped next day! Basically two weeks of this went by before I picked up our PS4. Not once were they the ones to call me to give me an update. When I picked it up I paid them their $125 and left. Got home turned it on and guess what, it did not work, also upon further inspection the whole unit was not put back together correctly and was missing screws. I called up AGAIN. They said how could we know if it's working or not?! But bring it back and we'll Look at it again "for free". At this point I was pissed so I had my husband take over. He brought it back and same as usual they did not call back with an update. I'm pretty sure they didn't even look at it again. We called over a week later and they said oh yeah, we couldn't fix it, come and get it. I feel ripped off and would never, ever recommend this place because they are unprofessional, not friendly and definitely in no hurry to please customers. read more

I took my desktop computer to them because a power surge happened. My computer would say that it didn't recognize the power adapter on start up and it would forcibly shut down after a few minutes of use. They said the diagnosis would be done in 2-3 days. It has now been 6 days and I have yet to receive a phone call or email on wether or not they have diagnosed the issue with my computer. I have called multiple times with nobody answering and have also driven down to their store multiple times during open hours only to find it closed.
