I highly recommend Daniel to fix any computer problem you have. He ordered all the parts needed to fix my computer and then put them in when they came in. Unfortunately one of the parts wasn't working properly when it came in, but that was not due to anything Daniel did,but was the fault of the place the part came from. Daniel reordered the part and then repaired it again from scratch. Two weeks later, today in fact I noticed that the cover was not closing flat on my computer so I took it in to him today. Daniel patiently took it apart to find the problem .He did find a screw that was loose and he tightened the screw. My desktop computer was having an I/O port error. It's my work machine so I was beginning to stress. I figured my hard drive was failing, so I took it to Micro Center where I usually go for computer needs. They told me it would be a minimum week to week and a half to even look at my computer. I called The Computer Friend and explained what I was encountering and what I had tried, and asked if I could have things looked at same day. Honest, Reasonable and Very Good! Have used The Computer Friend several times over the past several years and have recommended to friends as well. Was just referring to a friend and realized I had never written a review. I'm pretty good at diagnosing computer issues and rarely have problems, however on those rare occasions when I cannot fix, The Computer Friend techs have saved me. I work from home using two Dell desktops. The last time I had an issue was with a new Dell XPS and because I work on it every day, I didn't want to have to ship it back to Dell. Just pure bliss. I found Daniel and his company right in my own backyard. I had an external hard drive with 1/2 of all my favorite music that I had converted from LP to digital that ceased to be recognized on my computer. I was heart broken as music is one of my main passions. I feared all was lost. I took it to Daniel and in the snap of a finger he salvaged the hard drive and instructed me on what I needed to do to transfer the music to a new drive. I cannot say enough good things about The Computer Friend. I was having major problems with my laptop, mostly to do with Microsoft uploading drivers that weren't needed. It went into as looping hell and wouldn't let me log into my computer. Spoke with both Paul and Daniel, dropped it off when they opened and lo and behold when they tried to boot it up it went right to the log in page. They were honest about the fact that it was working and didn't try and upsell me other services or suggest lots of things to be done. Paul said the disk space was full which was part of the problem and there were programs that were taking up too much space and were not being used. I asked them to do maintenance and remove all unnecessary programs, etc. to free up disk space. I bought the YELP deal, for $20 that gave me $39 worth of services, so the cost to get my laptop in good working condition was minimal. They were great to work with, friendly and helpful. My self-built desktop of 3 years wouldn't start up so, being the lover of small business, I thought I'd give this place a try. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Being a 21 year-old gamer, I found it more comforting that many of them were closer to my age. I was given a rate of a $35 diagnostic, which also paid towards the $60 hourly rate. With a simple problem, I only had to pay that 60 total. The main thing I liked was that they were very honest with me. They provided options for other paid services, but acknowledged me as someone who is reasonable capable with computers, always saying "you could probably just ____" rather than trying to pressure me into spending more money. Even after fixing my system in about an hour, they went through an extensive analysis to check how all my parts are doing and to check on my computer's running heat (a problem I've had) I was able to have a conversation with my tech about upgrading my system for gaming, which was nice. Very satisfied with my experience. If I have any other problem I will definitely come back and I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

This might have been the best Yelp search I have ever done. I have been really frustrated with not being able to buy a new tablet (Ipad Mini) because no one has been able to tell me EASILY how to transfer my data, photos, music, etc. from my old one.
