Ok, I actually know a lot about computers. I've taken classes and repaired several of my friends' computers in the past. I had an issue recently--two separate ones, actually with both of my computers. I called Laguna Hills Tech Access both times, because I am simply just too busy to fix them myself as my life is way too busy with taking care of my kids and having a full work schedule. Let me just say that these guys know their stuff!! The first time I called, I needed to have my motherboard replaced and new RAM (those are sticks of memory that go on the motherboard) installed on my HP laptop. My computer was constantly freezing and sometimes failed to get to the startup screen, along with a couple things more. One of the owners, Matt, came out promptly and treated me very well. I actually pretended I didn't know anything because I didn't have the energy to speak tech with him (lol sorry!). Not knowing that I know much about computers, he in no way belittled me for my "lack of knowledge." He was very cordial and encouraging. He really does know what he is doing and I speak from experience here! The second time, my Dell Inspiron was having problems stuttering while playing videos of my kids and husband playing together, among some other issues. This time the other owner, Michael, came out very quickly to look at the problem and took great care of me and my computer! We had to order some parts, and as soon as they came in, he was back to install everything and fixed my computer right up. Superior service! Don't let the youthful ages of these boys fool you. I can tell you from both experiences that they really know their stuff and not only that, they are super professional and have EXCELLENT customer service. They are truly running their company with YOUR best interest in mind. They really seem to care a lot about us and our satisfaction with their service and they really want to see us having our computers up and running again! I just bought a new Dell computer and it's such a pain to transfer all of the information, get the e-mail working, etc. Our tech guy of several years just moved to Texas so I was looking for someone new. Luckily, I mentioned this to a friend who referred us to Matt. We lucked out that he had a opening the very next day. Matt was professionally dressed and very customer service oriented. He did a few things, like tied our 3 computers together which was unexpected and very cool. He made sure to have me check out my Outlook to see if everything looked ok. He tested the two printers to make sure they were working properly. It did take longer than he had estimated on the phone for a new set-up, but then, I have a lot of music, photos and folders on my computer and we have 3 computers total. He recommended a different anti-virus for us and it was free. He showed me how to move my music and taught me a few other things. He seems to really enjoy his job. My computer was in complete shambles, I couldn't even get the desktop to load and I had no idea what had caused it. I called around some of the major repair companies and their prices and inability to leave me with any guarentee that they could help really left me between a rock and a hard place. I was referred by a friend that had just gotten both their personal and business computers set up and the satisfaction and quality of work was amazing. I had a major problem with my HP Desktop and I called them after finding them on Yelp. I spoke to Matt, one of the owners, and he was SUPER friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I also got a great bargain by buying a deal on their Yelp page where I paid $40 for $50 worth of service. When Matt came out the next day, he could not boot up my computer and I feared the worst. He took it with him and called me up to say he finally got my computer running. It was the best news I could get. He recommended that I have him do a Windows Speed Package where they update everything on my computer and restore it to the most optimum condition. He just charged me for this service and did not charge me for anything else! He brought me my computer back the next day and it is even better than when it was new! It is virtually lightening fast. Matt is an incredibly nice guy and is VERY HELPFUL. I couldn't have found a better company to do business with. They have a policy that if they can't fix a problem, the won't charge you a dime. They also also give first-time customers a free diagnostics No one else does that or even comes close! They have great prices as well. My aging Toshiba laptop wouldn't charge, so I quickly searched on Yelp for a local repair shop near me. Laguna Hills Tech Access came up on top of the list with very high reviews, so I called them. Matt called me back within half an hour and scheduled an appointment with me to pick it up from my house on the same day. He showed up professionally and listened to me as I explained to him what I believed the problem was. He summarized my options surrounding the scenarios of the problem I described and said he would diagnose it and call me back the following day. The next day, he called, and came back to my house and dropped it off. He explained to me that there's nothing wrong with my computer because all I needed was a new charger. He charged my battery for me and searched online for a replacement charger. He sent me a link for an inexpensive new charger on Amazon (knowing that I would not spend more than I need to since I plan to get a new computer fairly soon). When I offered to pay him, he politely declined saying all he did was to charge my laptop for me. It came as a surprise to me. I commended his honesty. I called for emergency help when my computer wouldn't start the day before I was due to leave for a long trip. Matt was able to fit me in that same day. Although my computer was beyond repair, he gave me lots of helpful information for choosing and maintaining my next computer. He also looked at my laptop, which needed some attention. I highly recommend this business . I needed to get a new PC as mine had Windows XP, and our good friends at Microsoft won't support it any longer. I called them and was called back within 20 minutes by Matt, I told him what I was considering buying, and he asked if he could do some research and let me know what he found that would fit my needs at a better price. And he did ! 30 minutes later he emailed me some listings he found on his techie provider sites-great prices-bought a Dell, it was $2.99 shipping-yes $2.99 ! He came to my house right on time -got it all up and running, downloaded my files from my old PC, had some trouble, so a 2 hour house call turned into 3 hours, but he didn't charge me any extra than the original quote. He is polite, knowledgeable, and friendly, he works fast too . He also came back a week later( for free) to install download my old Quickbooks data onto a newer version I had to order.
