Julia really saved the day for me! I tried my tuxedo on the day before a black tie event and sure enough, after 18 months of quarantine the pants didn't fit. The morning of the event I asked Julia if she could handle taking the waist out of a pair of tuxedo pants in two hours, and she said "no problem." Julia is a true professional! She has great passion for what she does, she does excellent quality work, and she is dedicated and committed to customer service and efficiency! I brought her two bridesmaid dresses, both for hemming and to fix straps. One of the dresses had the worst built in cups and she spent the time to assess the problem and cut out the cups for me. DO NOT GO THAT PLACE!!! Do your research and find a real tailor because she is NOT!!! She is a total fraud! She ruined 3 dresses of mine. She even asks to give her 5 stars before you have no idea about her and her terrible work!!! Apparently she knows how terrible she is at tailoring already. When you scroll down on comments you'll see other complaining comments with one star and I agree with all of them %100. The positive comments with 5 stars are ALL FAKE and written by friend and family! She is not normal and definitely not a tailor you can trust. I highly suggest you to find a real tailor and stay away that miserable place !!! Now, when you scroll down, you'll see her comment as an answer to my comment saying that "this place has been around for 42 years with a great service" and she is right but definitely NOT WITH HER!! There was a very talented Armenian lady who owned that tailor shop (she is retired now) and served successfully for 42 years and NOT HER!!! I brought in a bridesmaid dress that was supposed to be from a custom company and came in all wrong. Julia helped make the dress perfect!! She shortened the length, took in the bust, closed the too high slit, and made it beautiful. Additionally, i was supposed to come in before closing to try on and add cups for inside, and unfortunately work kept me late and I arrived right at closing. She gladly stayed open later by 30 minutes to let me try on my dress , add the cups, make final touches, so I could take it home that night. It was very appreciated!! I brought a bridesmaid dress here to be tailored for my friends wedding. I asked her to take the dress in,hem it, and to make the straps thicker. This cost 150$ on a dress I payed 120 for. She did have my dress ready on time and she took it in beautifully. However, the hem job was very sloppy. The bottom was frayed. When I pointed it out she said some customers don't care. I'll fix it for you. She also didn't make the straps thicker. When I asked she stated she no longer had the extra fabric from the hem. The straps were included in the price on the receipt so I guess she just missed it. Luckily, I wanted the dress hemmed a bit more. So she used the extra fabric from that to make the straps. The stitch work on the new straps however were again sloppy. Upon leaving I asked for the garment bag I had brought the dress in. She could not find it among the mess. There were dresses everywhere that were falling on the floor. It looked very unorganized. I saw a bag that was the same as mine and she said it was another costumers but gave me the bag anyway. She said not all customers care about this. While she did a fine job and fixed her mistake, I will not be using her again. read more

The ladies here are fantastic! I ran in frantically needing a dress altered this past Sunday and said the latest I could pick up was early Wednesday before a flight...I of course had a back up dress because I knew that was a tight timeline to ask for. This place is such a gem! Heard about Julia through word of mouth from friends who live in the area and I'm so glad I did. I had a pair of pants altered for my rehearsal dinner somewhere else and they totally botched them - I took them to Julia and she was able to fix them no problem! They are a delicate silk material, which I imagine is tricky to work with, and she made them look and fit perfectly. I just sent my fiance there for some last minute tux alterations as well. Terrible. Worst experience with a tailor or seamstress, ever. I found Julia on the internet and believed the good reviews. Stupid me. The place is a mess, with clothes everywhere, even crumpled up and strewn around on chairs. I ignored what my senses told me, even while overhearing a distraught customer whose dress couldn't be found... I brought in 2 dresses: one completely new with tags from an expensive designer's line, the main reason for my visit. I tried it on, told her exactly what part I wanted taken in, and what part to leave exactly as is - the entire bottom half. When I returned for the dress, she'd completely ignored the plan, and took in the dress everywhere. I could barely get it on. I had to return the next day to get her "repair" job, which of course, left a trail of double removed stitching and was sewn back together sloppily - leaving puckering on the fabric. The other dress, which I tried on today, is the worst alteration job ever. She ignored her own original suggestion when I'd tried it on for her, and instead left the problem areas and took it in elsewhere. It looks terrible. It was far better before she touched it. Honestly: stay away if you're doing anything other than a straight hem. Whatever money you think you're saving - would be better spent at a seamstress or tailor who know what they're doing and care about doing quality work. read more

Last Saturday afternoon I walked in with no appointment to have two dresses altered, a brand new short dress that needed the straps shortened and bust brought in; and a long dress that had a broken strap that needed to be fixed and both straps shortened. I was considering shortening the length of the dress but wasn't sure - instead of encouraging me to shorten the dress which would have meant a more expensive job, Julia advised that I let her fix the straps, take it home and wear it again and if I still want to shorten the dress that I should come back and she would happily do it for me. I really valued that advice and the fact that she was looking out for my best interest. Both dresses were ready for me the following Friday, so less than a week. When I got them home and tried them on they both fit perfectly, she did an AMAZING job! I am still considering shortening the long dress and I will be going back to Julia for all my alterations and tailor needs regardless going forward! read more
