Much more expensive than other local tailors, and they did a bad job and now I have to spend more money to get my suit tailored again. The pant legs are different lengths, and the suit is still baggy. read more

What was formerly "Anthony Tailor" is now newly remodeled "Kabbani". Leo, the new owner and tailor, is so pleasant and does an AMAZING JOB at alterations. So far, he has altered two of Maje dresses I recently bought. One dress required hemming with a special border, so he made the border look identical to the original. The other dress had too long of a torso, but was a bit more complicated to fix BUT Leo was able to fix it in a way that didn't seem like it was altered at all. Quick turn around and fair prices. I use Leo mostly for tailoring trousers and he always does an amazing job. He's become my trusted go-to. His work is much higher quality than your local dry cleaners that does alterations. It is pricey but worth it. As somebody who used whatever the closest tailor was to my apartment for years, I'm happy to pay a premium for work that I know will be done right. My pants always come back looking and feeling sturdy. Leo also does real working buttonholes (surgeons cuffs) on sports coats ($100 which is reasonable in New York). read more

I had bought a dress on sale and failed to notice that one of the velvet sleeves had come undone around the elastic just days before I wanted to wear it to a wedding. I live nearby and had heard great things, so Kabbani Tailor to the rescue! Within five minutes and for a very reasonable price, the sleeve was good as new and I was on my way with a repaired dress. Excellent all around - quality on every level, kind, attentive, and great turnaround time and fair prices. I called Leo in a frantic rush needing a tuxedo tailored in a few days. I also brought a blazer, and a pair of pants thinking he would do those later after the rush order. He was attentive to the differences in each piece and understood the design and build of each -- especially important for the tuxedo. He did an expert job and turned it around in a few days, even finishing the other garments that weren't a rush and not charging any extra. Amazing and unexpected in NYC. I will say it's not inexpensive -- but in my opinion and experience you get what you pay for and you don't want a tailor to be cheap, unless you're dealing with garments you don't care as much about. read more

Extremely overpriced for an easy two inch hem and they are not willing to negotiate. The dress cost me $100 and the tailor tried to charge me $100 for the hem. I took it to another tailor in the area and they charged me half the price. read more
