I was en route to grab some lunch at the 'Bucks when I had a sudden flash of conscience and made a hasty swerve over to this little indie place, intending to get some tasty grub on my short lunch break while avoiding the java monopoly. The sign in the window touting "Coffee & Bagels" sounded like just the thing. I arrived to find the place empty of customers, while the Little Thai Hut next door was crammed with people, inside and out. Undeterred, I stuck with my original choice (I'd already parked in one of their designated parking spots, for one thing.) "A small black Americano and a tuna wrap, please." "Any cream? any sugar?" "Nope. Black, please." Server looks incredulous. "Black?! Oh. Ok!" Server cheerfully takes my payment, goes back and pours me a large cup of filter coffee from the pot on the warmer. I thought she may have misheard. "Oh! Ah, actually I was hoping for an Americano." Blank look. "You know - espresso and hot water?" Another blank look. I point to the order board: "See - it says there 'Coffee' and down there, on a different line, 'Americano'." "Oh. Uh. I can't make that. We don't do that. Sorry." D'oh! I wanted one, and the cost was higher, and I'd already paid... but c'mon. Chill out, right? Shouldn't be a big deal. She gave me back a quarter and I took the filter coffee. It was gross and lukewarm. When the tuna wrap came out 10 mins later (nb: nobody else in the store), it was small for the price and the tuna wasn't particularly high quality. With just a few minutes left of my break, I sat down to enjoy my food and relax. Promptly, a phone order for smoothies came in, the blenders came on, and the blenders were UNBELiEVABLY LOUD. I scarfed my wrap and took my nasty coffee out to finish in my car. I caved and swung by Starbucks on my way back to work for some decent joe. Oh well. I tried. read more

I love this place! They have organic juices and are so knowledgable & helpful about which veggie & fruits to juice with so you get the most nutritional benefit. I usually always get a toxin flush from nekter and the girls that work there told me too add a couple more veggies to cut the extra sugar from the apples. I really liked that they seem knowledgeable about juicing plus all they're veggies and fruits are ORGANIC!! Also they have really GREAT sandwiches and salads! Fresh & Organic! Love the turkey on squaw! Anyways I really enjoy the girls that work at Juice Stop. They are so friendly, they deliver great customer service, awesome fresh juices, and yummy smoothies. I didn't catch the name of the woman working here but she may have been the owner- she is so friendly and helpful. I can be really fickle and when it comes to food.. And being that some smoothies can be kinda bad for you (hello, sugar!) I was approaching the menu with caution. She noticed, and helped me build a smoothie with all the right stuff. It was awesome! I'd give it five stars if it was a liiiittle less expensive.. I know I was a pain and the ingredients are probably mega fresh, but 7 dollars for a smoothie was more than I had expected. The Volley smoothie was super delicious. Service was fast! It was a really generous amount for a good price. The smoothie was creamy and not over sugary sweet like most places. It's probably one of the best smoothies I've had in a long time. The cashier was super friendly and with your smoothie you can add a boost ex. Protein, vitamin C, or ginseng. At first I thought this was a juice bar, but turned out to be more of a smoothie shop. They have an extensive smoothie menu and offer 3 free boosts per drink! Pretty impressive! They also have a small (but tasty and fresh) lunch menu and turns out, they do have juices as well! I tried the house organic blend and it is smooth, earthy and delicious! The girls there are great too. They greeted everyone with a smile, I noticed they knew a lot of customers by name and keep everyone posted on the status of their orders while waiting. I went in to get a smoothie for my four year old daughter who is allergic to dairy, all nuts and strawberries. I ordered her a smoothie with raspberries, blueberries, mango blended with packaged apple juice. All the other smoothies with very similar ingredient were priced at $4.25-$4.75. I tried this place after going to Nekter and finding it closed. I got the Acai Bowl and was pretty disappointed. It has the acai mixture/smoothie and then very light granola on top, not any fruit- which every Acai Bowl I have ever had includes. I actually ended up going home and adding more granola, bananas and blueberries to the top... Should have just made the whole thing at home... Haha I would try this place again but would go for a smoothy instead. I'll update my review if I have a better experience read more

Was craving a smoothie after a morning run and Juice Stop popped up on my yelp app so thought I'd give it a try. When I walked in I was greeted by the employees. They were friendly and very helpful. The cashier asked what I was craving and she was able to give me recommendations right away. She definitely knew her stuff and had the menu down to a science. The smoothies are super affordable and around the $4.50-$6 price range. Another perk at the smoothie place is that you can add 3 boosts at no charge to any smoothie. I got the "#16 half pipe" and added vitamin c and lecithin to it as well as the "32: sambazon acai smoothie" with vitamin c. They had other boost options as well which is a plus. They're quick and immediately started making the smoothies before you even get to pay. They only have one size which makes it easy to order. There's over 30 smoothie options so there's something for everyone's taste buds. The smoothies were thick and creamy which I like and didn't melt right away. Also the cups have hand written motivational sayings on it, which I thought was creative. All in all, really good and affordable smoothie place in San Clemente! Highly recommend! read more
