I order fresh OJ from here pretty often. It's not cheap, but a good size and tasty, so it's worth the splurge; however, last time I ordered, you could tell it was bottled juice and not freshly squeezed. I had bought one the day earlier and had a little leftover, so could easily compare taste and appearance to see it was definitely bottled. At least explain this and have the offer of a refund/credit instead of trying to pass off fresh for bottled juice. read more

I preordered my Acai bowl immediately when I got off my metrolink train. I ordered the Cali Bowl. Once I reached the store, I was greeted immediately by one of the staff members. I let her know I was picking up an online order. It was ready before my arrival. I had a thought to eat my bowl at the beach but it was windy & also didn't want seagulls to attack my food .. Anyways I decided to eat my bowl right outside of the store. They have stools and a bar style table available for you to enjoy your food. I received a reusable insulated bag with my order. This Acai Republic location was super close to our AirBNB while in San Clemente recently, so I stopped by twice for breakfast! The first visit I walked in and ordered with a friend onsite. Ordering from a terminal vs a human is not my favorite, but it was pretty straightforward, so we figured it out. We quickly noticed that there was only one person working, and we waited quite awhile for our orders. This was a bit frustrating, but the acai bowls were delicious, made with fresh ingredients and care. We took them to go and enjoyed once we got there. The next day, my daughter asked for another one, so I pre-ordered on the website this time. It was ready when I arrived. I recommend this if you're not wanting to wait. Five stars all the way. The nicest, most patient guy worked the front today. We came in an absolute hot mess with three tired kids straight from the beach, and he could not have been more kind. He took his time, let us try samples, answered all of our questions, and never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. That level of customer service makes such a difference. I asked for our smoothies to be remade with juice instead of coconut milk because the smoothies had no flavor and the employee's "boss" refused to remake both because it "wasn't their fault" that we wanted to have the smoothies remade. My wife and I stopped in to Acai Republic over the weekend and had a very nice experience. The gentleman working (didn't get his name but he is from Brazil) was very nice and went out of his way to make it an enjoyable stop. He gave us a free bowl of fruit for our toddler and let us try a Brazilian soda. The bowls were good and reasonably priced. It was walking distance to our VRBO so also very convenient. We had cash and said they would not accept cash so we had to wait for someone to bring us a card then they started making our drinks. 20 minutes after that they came back to the front and we told them that someone is coming with a card and then they said "well we accept cash but card is preferred." We then paid with cash and got our smoothies. Let's just say they tasted horrible. They were watery and tasted like medicine. So if ur looking for a açaí or smoothie place don't go here!!
