I used to really enjoy going here because while there are so acai shops in San Clemente the service was so friendly and the patio was great! Yesterday though, I went in to ask about a worker there named Camille who has always given me such great service and the worker, Natasha, was so rude and off putting. She asked me if I was ready to order and I was like yes, but is Camille here? And she gave me a blank stare and said who? And I was like oh this worker who has been so helpful in the past. And she said I don't know who that is and just turned away. She could have said she's not working today or just anything a bit friendlier. She didn't even seem willing to help me order anything after that question. If that's the way service is now, I don't know if it's worth it to go here. Came here for the first time today and loved it! The shop is bright, clean, and welcoming. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I built my own bowl with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, chia pudding, coconut, and granola. It was absolutely delicious. The perfect treat on a busy day. A nice clean and trendy store for healthy food and açaí bowl lovers. This is right on Del Mar street in San Clemente. I was craving something clean and healthy so I decided to try this place out. They have a build your own bowl and their signature bowls which all have their own unique touch and flavor to it. I had ordered their Golden Almonds as it looked really good specially with almond butter. The bowl itself was just good, the almond butters texture is great and specially with the cold açaí it blended pretty well. The staff was very nice too and maybe next time I would build my own bowl to maybe add a little more of a "wow" factor. read more

This may be the best açai bowl that I have ever had. I loved being able to choose every ingredient I wanted, not subtract from a set recipe. I have lots of allergies, so this worked really well for me. Also, the ingredients were very fresh, and included things like passionfruit that I don't usually get to choose. I was surprised by the low reviews! My sister and I stopped by after walking around San Clemente. According to my sister, Oakberry Açaí was an açaí bowl place she had known and seen her friends eat back in London. So, I was intrigued! As açaí bowl lovers, we grabbed a 'make your own' 16 oz açaí bowl to split between us two. I think it's such a treat to be able to build your own! You can place as many fruits as you would like. There is an option for chia seed pudding, which I found so nice to be able to add without additional costs. An additional $1-$3 is needed for particular protein powders. There is two indoor seating facing the window, and more seating near the back where there is a little patio. Despite there being some trash bins stored in the back, they are tightly sealed for the most part so no flies to worry about too much! The service was kind and speedy. The team prepared our bowl quickly and gave us a good share of what we had hoped for when we paid for the bowl! God bless you all! read more

I ordered a build your own bowl through Uber eats. And when I finally received it, I was a little confused. I spent $22 on the bowl. I added whey protein for an extra fee and there is a literally an inch layer of protein in the middle of the bowl. I would assume they would blend it into the açaí, rather than just scooping it in and then I added a layer of chia pudding as well and that layer was completely frozen? read more

I am SO THRILLED that Oakberry is in San Clemente!! We need one in Half Moon Bay, CA!!!! Our family are very ACAI driven based on cancer treatments and the pure true Acai ingredients. There are other Acai places, but they are not TRUE made with ACAI berry. It's mixes and filled with other sugars, sorbet, and items that feed cancer cells. So they do NOT cash, for people coming on and complaining about credit only (which as a restaurant owners) cash is hard to to keep track of, so good for Oakberry. True Acai will not be like sorbet and might be a bit watery. Great work Oakberry and hope that you succeed here. We need healthy options not filled with filler!! love this place and the gals that work there are awesome! I stumbled into Oakberry on a hot afternoon and left completely obsessed. If you're an açaí lover, this place is a must. The menu is simple but genius: you pick your size and layer your bowl or smoothie cup with unlimited toppings. Yes--unlimited toppings. Granola, bananas, strawberries, coconut flakes, chia seeds, nut butters, cacao nibs--every ingredient was super fresh and beautifully arranged. What really made the experience even better was the staff--super friendly, patient, and happy to make recommendations. They didn't rush anyone and genuinely seemed excited to be serving something they love. You don't always get that kind of energy, and it stood out. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and service was fast even with a little line. Definitely coming back! read more

I had a few minutes to grab something before work, and had seen someone post about this place on social media, so I stopped in. The acai is served from a soft serve machine, so it was very fast. I'm used to waiting for them to make a bowl in a blender, but this took under like 2 minutes in and out the door with my bowl, which is what I wanted. The acai had a different texture but not in a bad way. It was in a cup, which leaves less room for toppings than a traditional bowl, but the granola was layered mid-cup, and it was big enough to fit my spoon down in there. Granola was tasty. I also surprisingly enjoyed having the straw. I was able to sip it while driving. I would def stop here again. However: I knocked off a star because when I got home, I had an email from them saying I'm now in their rewards program or some such nonsense. How did they get my email? I paid with a card, requested no receipt. I did not select to enroll in emails and certainly did not enter my email. Perhaps this complaint should be levied at my credit card company instead, but I miss the days when I could walk into a business and simply buy a snack without my information being harvested. At least let me opt IN to emails. Just ask me. It's so infuriating. read more

Such an unfortunate visit a few nights ago. My girlfriend and I were looking forward to getting some acai after our long day so we took the drive down and entered. No greeting from the only staff member that seemed to be on his phone and didn't even bother smiling. He wanted to take our order right away but it was our first time there so we asked for a minute to find out what we wanted. He said nothing and just stared at us then went back to his phone after one minute. When my girlfriend and I made up our minds on what we wanted, we tried to let him know we were ready but he just stood there with no response which confused us. He finally nudged a bit forward to let us know he's ready to input our order. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to be understanding but this gentlemen was just clearly disgruntled by our presence and refused to say a word even when my girlfriend told him her order he just stared blankly and didn't elaborate or help us through our order at all. After about a 10 minute wait for our order, my gf ordered a bowl and I ordered an açaí and coffee smoothie ( which by the way he handed to me and said "just mix it" though idk if that's just the usual thing to do or he couldn't be bothered to mix it himself) we received the attached photos as her bowl. Super disappointing and honestly couldn't expect much coming from his attitude. One of the saddest things I've seen and our total was nearly $30. No decency to even try to make it look pretty or add more fruit which they clearly had more he barely gave her about half an inch of the banana. So sad, please re-train this gentlemen as this place has great potential and seems nice but the experience was night ruining and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. We tried to be normal, as nice as possible but the fact that our orders were easy to make, we came in at a slow time and two hours before they even closed was just really messed up and not how you treat customers at all. read more
