I'm a huge fan of Blue Bowl and feel like nothing compares to theirs, but Alohana is on par with that. It's good if you want to take it to go and let it melt down a little to have that smooth consistency instead of fighitng with it and getting chunks at a time of the base. Definitely would recommend coming here after a long day at the beach or picking one up before heading to the beach to enjoy there. They also sell coffee and other random, but very cool, tchotchkes, clothes, art, that you wouldn't find at any other Acai bowl shop and it's very Dana Point. Great place to pick-up a unique souvenir if you're visiting from out of town.

I went there to get some groceries today and they were out of several things in Laguna Niguel so I called the Dana point location to ask them to put one item on hold since it was the last one. Brooke, told me that their policy changed and they don't do that anymore then she put me on hold for nine minutes, then hung up on me. I did go to the store and was able to buy the last item, but I was stressed out, trying to get there before it's sold out. I talked to the supervisor. He said you got what you wanted so it all worked out. He also said we are too small to put items on hold . Sorry but all mothers are small . I told him that all the other specialty grocery stores such as Trader Joe's, & Whole Foods put items on hold .
