Decided to check this cafe late on a weekend, it was packed. There is limited seating, they are currently using a section as an office which was rather odd. The menu consists of desserts, bubble tea, ice cream, various juice and hot beverages. Tried the biscoff latte, it was just a regular latte with biscoff cookie. It was alright. I will definitely be back to try some dessert items. There is no washroom for customers.

The Acai dude is on the right. Is it half empty or half full?

Ordered the Acai Dude. For $13 or $14.69 (tax) plus tip, you get a drink with half a banana, slice of kiwi, half a strawberry, two blue berries and a raspberry in a couple if ounces of acai juice. I should have gone to A&W for their $2.99 Acai smoothe. The photo shows the drink poured on a tea saucer. The lemon is to show scale.

Wow! Stopped by here for the first time and got the mango smoothie with mango chunks! The menu was various with lots of interesting options and dessert. Taste was on point made with fresh natural ingredients. However, there were toppings in the smoothie added on that weren't mentioned in the ingredient list menu : chopped almonds, chocolate and honey. Personally I would've done without all that, however, it was great and I can't wait to try the next thing!

I love this location. It may be small and crowded but they are always ALWAYS super nice and helpful. My kids love their shakes, in fact thanks to them I can get my kids to have some fruits in thier diet. Their coffee is also surprisingly good.

So I was super excited when I saw that a place that just opened up within walking distance from my house sells bubble tea. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately for my wallet and waistline) the bubble tea that I had wasn't that great. However, it should be noted that bubble tea is not their specialty. Their specialties are fruit juices and fruit platters with ashta (a Lebanese cream). They also serve waffles and crepes. So maybe those items are better. If anyone is familiar with La Bocca Juice in the south end of Ottawa, this place serves the same type of things (except La Bocca does not attempt to do bubble tea). I got the Pina Colada Smoothie ($6.25) and added tapioca for an additional ($0.49). They were generous with the amount of tapioca, but unfortunately the tapioca was a bit on the hard side and not soft and chewy as I like them. The smoothie itself was not as thick in consistency as I like and it wasn't all that creamy. Also it was way too sweet. However, it did taste like there was real fruit in it, which I liked. Overall, it was acceptable, but I didn't like it all that much. While I was there, they were making waffles and crepes for other customers and they smelled delicious! I also should mention that I love ashta. The first time I had it was at a place called Cocktail Antibli on rue de Maisoneuve in Montreal (which has since rebranded to Cocktail Hawaii), and I have loved it ever since. So, I do want to return to try their ashta and maybe also a crepe :)

This store has a few tables, has beautiful local artwork posted on the walls, offers a 10% discount on your first visit, and uses healthy bases with real fruit. I was also really excited to discover that they had a vegan pea protein powder free of artificial sweeteners, which I could add to my drink. We ordered two drinks and were really happy with what we received. THE DRINKS: Ginger Snap - My fiancé ordered the ginger snap without spinach and he really enjoyed his drink. It featured apples, banana, mango and ginger and it was full of flavour. It was sweet and tart and definitely a must try! Drunken Monkey with spinach: - I ordered the Drunken Monkey with vegan protein powder and spinach. I found my drink lacked a bit of flavour (they scoop the fruit into the cup before blending and a big chunk of fruit created a big air hole, which I think is the reason my drink lacked flavour) but I was really happy with the whole ingredients used and the added protein powder. The service was a little slow but the employee was really nice and I enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls. Would We Return? Absolutely because I like the clean ingredients used and the ability to add protein to my drink.

Olivia - Olivia Salad ($13.65) with chicken (+$3.25) dressing on the side.

TL;DR: Tasty salads, but the default is overdressed in my opinion. I recommend asking for the…read moredressing on the side unless you like your salads really wet. My husband and I dropped by Olivia for lunch. We each got a salad. I asked for mine with the dressing on the side as I usually do. My husband let them dress his salad and even he thought it was overdressed. I got the Olivia Salad ($13.65) and added chicken (for an additional $3.25). My husband got the Sofia Salad ($14.25) and added shrimp (for an additional $3.50), he also omitted the corn that usually comes with it. The Olivia Salad comes with mixed greens (mostly romaine lettuce), cucumbers, artichoke, Kalamata olives, pearl couscous, grape tomatoes, feta cheese and red onions. The dressing is the Signature Olivia dressing, which I can best describe as a creamy herb dressing. It was flavourful but way too rich and creamy for my tastes so I'm happy that I remembered to ask for the dressing on the side. The vegetables were fresh, although my one critique is that the pieces of romaine lettuce were cut too large. I would have preferred for them to be cut into smaller pieces. The added chicken was lean chicken breast pieces. I enjoyed my salad but I didn't like the to-go containers. They are narrow and deep. For salads I prefer a wider container and it can be more shallow to keep the same volume. The containers they have make it difficult to mix the salad when you get the dressing on the side. The Sophia Salad comes with mixed greens (again, mostly romaine lettuce), grilled red peppers, zucchini, grape tomatoes, croutons, goat cheese and red onions. It usually comes with corn, but we asked them to omit it. The dressing is a pesto dressing. We initially were going to share our salads but because he got his salad pre-dressed it had way too much dressing for me, so I just had a mouthful to sample it. The flavours were good but I couldn't get over the amount of dressing on it. The added shrimp were a medium size and tasted good. There were about 6 shrimp or so in the salad. The restaurant was crowded so we got our orders to go and ate in the car. I was surprised that we were charged for the disposable forks. I hadn't noticed until I looked at the receipt. It was only $0.10 per fork, but I felt like I was being nickeled and dimed (which I was). Service was courteous. They assemble your salad when you order it. The place was busy so there was a bit of a wait. There's limited indoor dining and some outdoor dining as well. Ambiance is "casual healthy food restaurant." You know, the type that caters to the yoga and Pilates crowd ;) The restaurant is in a plaza. There's lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. (150)

Oh and did I mention that they sell unusual flavoured snacks like Banana Caramel KitKat, Root Beer flavoured Mike & Ike, and Birch Beer Crush?!? They also had Dr Pepper flavoured cotton candy. Mind blown! Lol. I was super tempted my their $1 a cone ice cream, but decided to stick with my original plan of getting some bubble tea. I went with the regular-sized Lychee Milk Tea ($4.99) and added Cherry Agar Pearls (an additional $1). My husband got a Mint Chocolate Milkshake ($6.99). So the freaky thing is that I totally forgot to tell the guy half sweet (my usual customization when I'm trying out a new place), but magically when I got my drink, the sticker said 50% sugar. Woah, he read my mind, lol. So the toppings list said "cherry tapioca" which intrigued me but when I got the drink, it was obviously agar/crystal pearls that were cherry flavoured. This was also a pleasant surprise because I love crystal boba/agar pearls and actually prefer them to tapioca pearls. I loved my drink. The lychee flavour wasn't too pronounced, but it was still tasty and not overly sweet. The agar pearls were chewy and delicious and the quantity was good. I had a sip of my husband's milkshake and it was really tasty, super rich and creamy, and it was aesthetically pleasing as well. Service was easy-going, as I was a bit indecisive at first and then changed my order as the guy was punching it into the cash register (oops, sorry, hehe). He was super nice and if he was annoyed, he didn't show it at all. If I lived in Cornwall, I would be there all the time. They are close to the highway, so I think not only will every Cornwall trip I make involve a stop here, but any trips on the 401 eastbound from Ottawa will also involve a visit to Sip & Scoop, lol. It's in a plaza with lots of free parking.

I got a regular-sized coconut milk tea ($4.99) and added tapioca pearls (an additional $0.75). I forgot to say half sweet, so it was full strength sweetness, which was way too sweet for me, but that was on me for forgetting. The drink itself had a nice potent coconut flavour, but the tea flavour was very subtle. It was smooth and not gritty, and was rich and creamy. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, how I like them, but they could have been more generous with the amount as I finished the pearls way before I finished my drink, so was just drinking milk tea with no toppings for most of my drink. Overall 3.5 stars, but I am being generous and rounding up. Hopefully next time they will follow my example of generosity and give me more tapioca, lol. Service was friendly and efficient. The inside is small. They have 4 regular tables of 4 and a high table for 2. Street parking only.

The young female working the cash could barely speak English and literally all we were ordering was a BBT and three ice creams. I asked for one scoop of chocolate with whip cream. Kids had two scoops each, one strawberry, one chocolate. You would think they would serve the ice cream first, then make the BBT. We sat and waited for probably ten minutes before anything showed up and everything was wrong. My one scoop of chocolate came with sprinkles and the sprinkles were hard like rocks. The scoop of ice cream was tiny, like an inch and a half in diameter and tasted like store bought ice cream. The two kids only got one bowl with two scoops, one chocolate and the other strawberry. The BBT came out fine. We had to get her to make another bowl of ice cream for the second child. We were also the only customers in there. The cost came out to over $25 and I think we were charged twice for one of the two scoops. Basically five scoops of ice cream and an $8 BBT. I had been here before the pandemic and it was good, but something changed and I think it was a language barrier. If you're going to have someone facing customers, at least make sure they can understand their own menu! After that debacle, I will never go there again!
