Went for breakfast with a friend. We found it a bit difficult to navigate. There are many options, however you have to go to the cash to get menus and looking at the menu there can hold up the line. It would be more ideal to have menus at the front or QR codes to scan on the table perhaps? Tables were very close together and small groups of 1-2 people were taking up spaces that could be used for larger parties. The coffee was great! They are still new and I hope to return!

I came here on a Friday around noon and the place was fully packed! Parking is easy because it is in a plaza, and the staff at the front were kind. But the place itself is very loud, the way I guess it's layed out. The decor is more antique style. I ordered a special beyond latte and a small orange loaf, it was decent nothing special. I saw many appetizing plates for lunch or crepes coming out. Maybe worth trying their food next time

This food truck recently set up shop in my neighbourhood (summer of 2024). I first saw it while driving to work and made a mental note to check it out. They don't have their own website and are exclusively on Instagram and Facebook. Initially they weren't even on Google Maps, but now they are. But really, they had me at crepes and Filipino-inspired sealed the deal, lol. I love creative fusion cuisine! The Husbster and I walked over on a Sunday afternoon and the owner (I think she was the owner) was all smiles and very welcoming. I got the Walker Crepe ($16) which was pulled chicken, rutabaga, pickles and a spinach/arugula mix. It usually comes with cilantro, but my husband hates cilantro, so I asked to have it omitted, so he could try some (even though he wasn't in the mood for crepes and we knew I would be the one eating most of it, lol). I also got the Gulaman Cooler ($4.50) which is a drink made of brown sugar syrup and banana extract with jellies. I love jellies, so I asked for extra and got lots of jellies ;) I was also pleasantly surprised that the crepe came with a small quinoa salad. The crepe was delicious. The pulled chicken was dark meat and so moist, tender and flavourful. The shredded rutabaga added a nice texture, as did the pickles and leafy greens. It was a little wet towards the bottom though with liquid pooling and it eventually leaked out the bottom of the paper cone holding the crepe. Luckily I was given lots of napkins, lol. The crepe was crispy around the edges and soft with a nice amount of chew on the inside. A very tasty crepe. The quinoa salad was ok, but nothing too remarkable. It had a lot of cilantro in it, to my husband's chagrin, haha. I loved the Gulaman Cooler, especially with all the jelly I was given ;) It was sweet and refreshing on a hot summer's day. The jellies were cut very small, so they fit in the narrow straw. I had a lovely chat with the lady who I believe is the owner while she prepared my items. She was very friendly. There are picnic tables in front of the food truck for you to eat at. And since the food truck is parked in an empty parking lot, there is parking available if you drive there. Looking forward to trying their other items, like maybe their sweet crepes :) (100)

TL;DR/The Short Version: Little takeout joint that sells…read moresweet and savoury crepes, choux pastries and other French sweets. Crepes were tasty. The Longer Version: Le Petit Paris just opened up September 2024. It's very hidden and I would have never just stumbled upon it, especially considering I'm rarely out in Kanata these days. Luckily I'm a weirdo and one of the things I like to do is poke around on Google Maps zooming in randomly on areas in and around Ottawa looking for new businesses to check out. That's how I found Le Petit Paris. It's tucked in behind a bunch of businesses and is not visible from the street. Fortunately the directions on Google Maps lead me there correctly. They are currently takeout only. The space is very small and there is absolutely no place to sit down and eat there. I got the Parisienne Crepe ($10.90) which contained ham, cheese and mushrooms. The crepe was made fresh. However, they use frozen mushrooms, which they microwaved (in the plastic bag it was packaged in, their space is open so I saw this). I get it, they're new and are still working out how much supply they need, but I feel fresh mushrooms would be better. Also, I'm not a fan of microwaving plastics for health reasons. I also think this crepe would taste better with some fresh spinach. Nonetheless, the crepe was tasty. The crepe itself was soft and had the right amount of chew. The ham was nice and smokey and the cheese provided a nice cheese pull ;) The crepe maker, Nene, was lovely. We had a nice conversation, en français, since she told me she was more comfortable in French. The man at the cash register (I think his name was Guy, because that's what was printed on the back of his shirt, lol) was equally nice and told me about their business and products. He was fluently bilingual, so I spoke in English with him ;) Their choux pastries looked good, but it was the end of the day, so they had limited selection left. I'll need to return earlier in the day to try these. There's free parking available in the lot that's shared with neighbouring businesses. I have a soft spot for small locally-owned independent businesses. I hope they do well and can relocate to a more visible/less tucked away location and maybe even have some seating for dining in, in the future. With more business, hopefully they can use fresh ingredients instead of frozen. Review #37 (2025)

Glorious! 1. Food - gluten-free crepes with egg, ham,…read morecheese was excellent! Crepes with bacon, mushroom and Swiss cheese! Great salad with each - very fresh greens with a touch of dressing - went perfectly with the crepes!!!!! I love the crepes with egg but I am super queasy about the egg being done just so - I told the waitress how I wanted the egg and she listened carefully and then repeated my description and asked if she had it right. Egg came perfectly prepared. It made the whole meal an experience as well as a perfect breakfast! 2. Waitress / Service: Just excellent We started outside and it was a tad cool so she asked if we would like to go inside - which we did. Each of the staff we came in touch with was warm, friendly, helpful. We've been to a lot of restaurants and this was just excellent. 3. Restaurant: This is a beautiful setting. Trees, flowers, tables out- side and inside; tables on the porch (with swings); clean, hats can borrow if you forget yours and the sun is bright - but you really want to be outside! 4. Prices were reasonable! You can often get l of the 4 and I sometimes get excited if I can just get two of the 4 -- but this place was the whole package - ALL 4! And if you have children, they have a playhouse - outside! Two little girls were having a grand time when we left! I highly recommend this place!

I had the ham and cheese crêpe, which was simple but really satisfying--nice and melty without feeling too heavy. It's not trying to be upscale, just good, reliable comfort food. My son ordered from the kids menu--the banana crêpe with whipped cream and ice cream--and that was easily the highlight. Big portion, fun, and definitely a hit. He also had lemonade, and I had coffee, which was solid. The space has a cozy, rustic ski-village feel--wood interiors, warm lighting, very relaxed. Service was friendly and easygoing.

Their poutine crepe is definitely not the right choice for a snack because it was very filling because their portion size was big. Their fries were crispy and I really like their gravy as it was very flavorful. The crepe itself was soft and chewy but it would've been nice if it had a slight crispy edge. However, I do think this is a little gimmicky and I would prefer just a classic poutine. We also ordered a banana split crepe, which I regret not asking to come a little bit later as we all wanted to eat the savory dish before moving into the sweet. So by the time we got to this, the ice cream had already melted a little, which made the crepe a little soggy. There was plenty of bananas but too much cream imo but my kids loved and devoured it. It was definitely a kids favorite. The restaurant is not very big with just a couple of tables. Our server was very friendly and service was quick. Overall, this is a great option for lunch or snack. They also offer many savory and sweet options on their menu and we would love to go back to try out other items on their menu.
