    Chicken Noodle Soups
    Derek L.

I'm in the neighborhood for appointments a couple of times a week and one day I was a little hungry and decided to stop by Judy's. I ordered the chicken noodle soup and it was really good! Wasn't overly salty and the flavor was great! This place is very cute and cozy. I sat at a large table with strangers. Everyone here was friendly and the service was pretty quick. Only complaint is that it's a bit on the pricier side. But i did splurge on a cookie, which was massive, and it was sooo good! If you're in the neighborhood, try it out! I'm sure I'll be back!

What a treasure to find! I needed to have lab work done at Quest Diagnostics and as I walked in the building lobby there was Judi's Deli! I purchased a BANANA DATE SMOOTHIE WITH OATMILK for the person who drove me. I purchased for myself a SCOOP OF CHICKEN SALAD ON A GREEN SALAD and SEASONED BAGEL CHIPS. Everything was delicious and the bagel chips were phenomenal. I was so hungry I forgot to take the photos before gobbling up the food. The salad was very large. I will definitely be back. The staff is so kind I felt like I had known them for years!

I had to come and share what several of the most recent reviews have shared already. I understand Beverly Hills but how are we going to go from expensive to absolutely Ludacris charging. Two sandwiches cost $50. It's so mind blowing. Another price increase. I love to support local businesses but in this case, it just doesn't sit well with me, especially knowing it's just a sandwich. I understand other local businesses have increased prices but it feels within reason/means compared to Judi's. You can get a nice 3 course lunch meal on Rodeo Drive for a fraction of this cost and get to sit in an aesthetically pleasing restaurant and enjoy a classy yet casual environment. This place is always a rush during lunch. Sometimes your sandwich may come so toasted (burnt) and you could see the areas they tried to scrape off. Sometimes it'll be perfect. It's not the most consistent. Their seating is so tight that you have to squeeze between tables and high top tables, where people are seated and eating at, just to get condiments. Also despite menu advising "Any Sandwich $19" please note this is false advertisement and does not in fact mean any. $3 for a hardboiled egg. *insert mind blown emoji* For a few dollars more I could by a dozen eggs. I used to love them and would love to support this shop but for the cost of one sandwich $25 I can't. There are several other shops in the same blocks vicinity that offer delicious quality sandwiches, still reasonably priced at Beverly Hills standards but not at Ludacris prices, if that makes sense.

The Nosh around the corner was my usual go-to as I wait for Mom to wrap it up at her oral surgeon appointment. I'm not sure why I never spotted this place given it's across the street from the clinic, but hey... better late than never! It's a small and quaint spot, and the menu is enticing. I deliberately skipped lunch because I had every intention of making a stop here to grub. I had my eye on the half sandwich/soup combo. Pops wanted the breakfast plate. We had the pup with us so we sat comfortably at their patio. This place is popular (nonstop food delivery services coming through) but there were a few who stayed put (us included.) Put in our orders and sat right back outside. Wasn't long before I got my drink out. The food followed not too long after. CAFE MOCHA SMOOTHIE: Great choice of refreshment for a semi-hot and humid day. I also needed the pick-me-up so the caffeine helped. 1/2 SANDWICH AND SOUP: I opted for the corned beef sandwich and Matzo ball soup. (Okay, I got these for the sake of comparing to The Nosh.) I will be honest - sandwich was delicious, but different delicious. They clearly have their own recipe but the main essence is there. Some of the end parts were dry, but moist otherwise. Veggies were fresh! Overall, this was great bites! MATZO BALL: Also comparably delicious but also different delicious. The matzo ball was fluffy and packed with flavor. The broth was well seasoned and had depth. Noodles were cooked perfect. This was a great combo to the sandwich. 2 EGGS ANY STYLE: This was Pop's meal of choice. He likes his eggs cooked well done and this is probably the best well-done eggs I've seen anywhere. The bacon was cooked cripsy and the potatoes were seasoned great. (I took teenee bites of each.) Pops enjoyed this a lot. FOOD: 4. Delicious but there's still room for improvement. SERVICE: 5. They were fast, friendly and service with a smile! VALUE: 3. A little pricier than average, but you know.. BH and all... comes with the territory. PARKING: Free parking up to 2 hours at the parking structure on the north end of the block (right next to the now defunct Rite Aid.) OVERALL: 4. Mom has at least one more follow up appointment with her oral surgeon. I saw a customer order this delicious looking salad. Might just get that on that next run...

Prices are high and quantities are huge. Their half soup and half salad options are perfect! They are very filling. Tried almost all their soups and they are all delicious!

Large Matzo Ball Soup w/ 2 balls, chicken, rice, & noodles. Delicious!

Great little family-owned deli in the heart of BH. The staff are helpful & friendly. Matzo ball soup is delicious! Reminds me of my grandmother's style: soft outside, dense inside. We got 2 large matzo soups with chicken, rice, & noodles added, & plenty of Saltines. We also had a tasty Chinese Chicken Salad Wrap, which was a salad in a wrap, including the crunchy wonton crisps. The price was good relative to other delis & location. Due to Covid, they only have 2 tables outside, no ice water or fountain drinks. But we're glad we found them after all these years. We'll definitely come back. It's BH, so there's plenty of metered parking & great people watching.

Big fan of your simple, reasonably priced , order at the counter food for years but now you charge $13 for a bowl of soup -- that is all kinds of crazy.

Service is horribly slow here! Not only that, but listening to the cashier make a call to someone on the phone saying that the Oatmeal needs to be changed, because it's "horrible" and then give that bowl of oatmeal to a customer. Seriously...what's wrong with you guys??? You just said the Oatmeal was horrible and you handed it over to a customer. That in itself is Horrible!! No wonder the lady left after tasting your oatmeal. Now with my order. I ordered Judi's Breakfast Combo and I wasn't impressed. The eggs were over cooked and too salty, and the pancakes were extremely spongy. I probably won't come back here again.

Old-school booths, a deli counter, and décor that basically says, "We were here before you could afford to shop on Rodeo Drive." But when it comes to the food, this place can hang with the best New York delis. And before we even ordered, out came the complimentary pickle platter--several varieties of pickles, because apparently at a real Jewish deli, amuse-bouche is French for "here's a plate of cucumbers soaking in vinegar." Sweet, sour, half-sour, crunchy--basically a pickle flight without the Beverly Hills price tag. The matzo ball soup was top-notch--soup simplicity at its finest. Rich chicken broth, a moist and tender matzo ball, noodles, and carrots. Nothing fancy, nothing reinvented, nothing served with microgreens or truffle foam. Just exactly what matzo ball soup is supposed to be. Then came our off-menu creation: corned beef and turkey with house-made coleslaw and Russian dressing on toasted sourdough. It arrived piled high enough to require FAA clearance, yet somehow the structural integrity was flawless. I ate the entire thing without a single piece of shredded cabbage escaping onto the plate. If Nate 'n Al's ever gets out of the deli business and goes into general contracting, hire them immediately. With sandwich-building skills like these, they could put up an 80-story high-rise on the San Andreas Fault and not lose a window. The atmosphere is equally authentic. A couple of the servers looked like they could have walked straight onto the set of The Sopranos without an audition. One compact, old-school Italian-looking gentleman in particular had me wondering whether my sandwich came with a side of "fuhgeddaboudit." So forego the fancy Beverly Hills lunch where your entrée arrives under a silver dome and costs about the same as a car payment. Go to Nate 'n Al's, get a real deli sandwich and a bowl of matzo ball soup, then walk a few steps over to Rodeo Drive and spend all the money you saved. Old school. No pretense. Serious deli. And apparently some of the finest sandwich engineering in Southern California.

It was VERY close! The bread is excellent and the cheese and meat are clearly selected with INCREDIBLE intention. The only problem is that the bread is huge and has a taste unto itself that is really good! Why a problem? Because the cheese was not sharp enough to penetrate the bread flavor and the meat was not deep enough to do the same. This was a (delicious) bread first sandwich. I like my sandwiches to be ingredient forward-facing. This is a me thing. You may absolutely adore this place. My friends got the tuna and I wish I had got that. So fresh and light. With the price, I didn't feel like asking for a "re-do," but I chose wrong haha I will try this place again and get something with less bread dominance. This is still 9.2/10 sandwich....I just happen to eat 30+ sandwiches at restaurants every year. The pasta? Super good! There were 4 of us so I stole some bites. At about 10:45am, it was busy but not crazy crowded, so we were seated immediately by a happy, friendly teen who may have been a family member or just someone they've taken under their wing. Either way, the youthful greeting helps establish that family feeling that's always relaxing. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and sliced sturgeon, which is a serious treat here in Los Angeles, where hardly any place carries sturgeon. The portion was ample, the fish was fresh, moist and tasty, and it made for a very satisfying (and filling) breakfast. It should also be stated that this hard-to-find dish is always somewhat pricey, but at $25, Factor's is practically a bargain, and a full $9 CHEAPER than Art's in Studio City. My wife opted for eggs with baked salmon on the side -- again, fresh and generous, and very tasty. And again, $10 cheaper than at Art's. I mention the prices simply because eating a good deli breakfast has become more of a luxury these days, and finding a place that delivers top-notch food and service with less of a slam to the wallet makes a difference. If you haven't been to Factor's, or haven't been in a while, it's time to discover (or rediscover) a great deli serving great food. To start, they have a parking lot a short walk away, validate for 90 minutes, plenty of time to eat. There can be lines, but I try to time it on a weekday before the lunch crowd hits! The staff is very friendly from the host station to the servers to the cashier. Many have probably worked there for years! They all seem very happy along with the customers chowing down their pastrami! Once inside there is seating at the counter or cozy booths. The menu can be a bit overwhelming, but trust that any way you want your pastrami sandwich, you can have it! I went with a friend, who at the moment is on a pastrami only diet. He was just in NYC, eating at several well known places for pastrami, yet still craving more when he returned! We split a sandwich, with coleslaw on the side so he could build his sandwich his way. I am a purest with pastrami, nothing but mustard! The pastrami here is thick cut, tender, something to ENJOY not bury! They offer a few mustards and other condiments on the table. Yellow is what pairs best with pastrami, IMO. We also ordered Pastrami Chili Fries. Now this was my first time trying them. OMG, I went to heaven! The pastrami of course was amazing, but the gravy/chili was just as amazing. Some heat but not a lot, just perfect! We ended with a slice of carrot cake, it was okay but who comes for the dessert! My favorite thing, after the Pastrami of course, Langer's Ceam Soda from the fountain! OMG the best cream soda. They also offer Dr. Browns by the bottle. It used to be a very nice part of LA, not any longer, but there is still this GEM of a deli to check out if you are visiting LA or live locally, well worth the drive. Even Hewell Hauser couldn't get enough of it! They also have been received Beard awards and are included in the Michelin Guide. Very impressive for a family owned business! For those that frequent or live on the West Side, Norm's daughter Trisha has a place called Daughter's Deli. Same excellent pastrami and rye bread! I have been there many times and seen Trisha and sometimes Norm there working hard!
