    Spicy AF Margarita
    Mike S.

We went out to Juan Blanco's last night for dinner and drinks. I ordered the chorizo tacos with beans and rice. The food was good but I was hoping for a bit more spice. I found that spice in the Spicy AF margarita which is made with ghost pepper tequila and jalapeño. I would definitely go back just based on the food. Service was a bit slow to get our order in but they were pretty busy and there were chips and salsa in the meantime. Once we got our order in the food didn't take long and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I liked the decor inside and the restaurant is much larger than it looks from the outside. There is also a nice patio area with a fire pit.

I enjoyed a nice long lunch with friends over the recent holiday break and had a mojio and this GIANT burria burrito. It was easily 3 meals worth of food. Also who can turn down complimentary chips and salsa!

Food, service and ambiance are all on point! My husband and I popped in for dinner after playing 9 next door, to eat outside on their charming patio, and were pleasantly impressed with all aspects of our experience. His torta was amazing and definitely big enough to share. My beef taquitos were just okay, a little over done- but I'll definitely be back for the birria or al pastor. Plus lots of good puns!!

    Chimichanga and rice

Ordered chicken and shrimp, quesadilla; beef, chimichanga; lemonade to drink. The quesadilla was a bit bland. The beef chimichanga was acceptable; but would not be a recommended item. The ambience was at a level three; service was good up until cashing out check. Typically I do not visit locations that do not accept Apple Pay. But upon receiving the bill the I asked the server if they accepted Apple Pay. She stated,"Management said we are not supposed to. Because of issues we had with Apple Pay. For security reasons". Attempted to explain exactly what Apple Pay was; server as well as manager fully understood Apple Pay. But then went on to say it could be utilized as long as the physical credit cards were on the phone. Which is exactly how Apple Pay works. So for them to say that they knew how Apple Pay works, and then go on to make a statement as that. Implies that they do not understand how Apple Pay works. And this is why the server kept asking me if I meant tap . In which case tap is the process performed at the credit card machine. Apple Pay is the application that holds the physical debit/credit (insurance; discount; store;coupon;gas; and soon drivers license)cards on the users Apple device/iPad, MacBook; Apple Watch; or iPhone . I was never given a clear cut explanation. It all seemed to be made up as the conversation went on. Plain and simple; I felt that it is where the restaurant faulted as far as the service. Will not visit this location again. Or any of the locations. Do not recommend this place. If you are a person that utilizes Apple Pay

    Chicken tortilla soup

Love the vibe and decor! Went at noon for a light lunch and drinks, waitress was great, very friendly and attentive. Margaritas were delicious and not too sour. I had the chicken tortilla soup, not salty broth, but thicker and very delicious. Friends both had the lunch portion of the fajitas and they were huge portions ! Will definitely return

    Stuffed Avocados

Juan Blanco's is a must try Mexican restaurant. The decor is super cute, so many large tables, booths, large bar area and even a fireplace. Service is very quick. Birria burrito- HUGE!! The flavor is so good. A slight spice to it but amazing. Definitely worth trying. Birria tacos- these come with consommé. I did not try but positive review as well. Taquitos- YUM. Really good. The aioli is pretty spicey but the shredded chicken was really juicy, toppings abundant in the middle of the plate. Stuffed avocados- these are ok. It is literally an avocado with toppings. We ended up just scooping it out and smashing it into guacamole instead. Not sure id order this again. Calamari- sooo crispy. Two sauces- a spicy aioli and an avocado foam. Both were delish with this. Elote- you can order this in a bowl form or on the cob. The bowl seemed more convenient and was a pretty large serving size. It was slightly warmed and fresh. I used it as a topping as well as ate with chips.

    Avocado halves dinner

Really enjoyed my dinner here! Right next to a golf course so if it's warm definitely grab a table outside for a nice view of the course. Started with ceviche which tasted really fresh. Also split the chicken and shrimp fajitas which came with a lot of sides. Ordered the carne asada and shrimp fajitas but by mistake we received shrimp and chicken but that wasn't a big deal. Probably one of my fave dishes was the avocado halves dinner, seemed like a really nice and filling options if you want something healthier and honestly I haven't seen this dish at many other Mexican restaurants I have been to. Our server was amazing too!

We absolutely love Juan Blanco's! Perfect for birthday parties they never disappoint! I'm a sucker for the drink specials which I know Amanda goes above and beyond making them each month! Servers are all so friendly and outgoing ! The murals are beautiful and the atmosphere is welcoming . 10/10 !

    Beef flautas

Service was fine. Ambiance was fine. Food was horrendous. I got the beef flautas and I felt like the tortillas were filled with a sort of seasoned dog food mixture. Yuck. Probably won't be back again.

Wanted Mexican and a friend recommended Juan Blanco's. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Had a cute sign and disco ball in the bathroom, which gave us a good laugh. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was delicious! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and it came with a side of rice, guacamole, and more. Everyone at the table loved their meals and the drinks were on point. We had raspberry margaritas, prickly pear margaritas, and a special drink - the pink heartthrob. They were all amazing! Definitely recommend this restaurant. If you have a larger group make a reservation for convenience.

Tables seated after us had already received drinks, chips, and salsa before we were even greeted. Once our server finally came over, things moved quickly -- but I still had to walk around the restaurant tracking down staff just to get napkins and silverware. For food, I ordered the 3-piece chicken dinner tacos and found them way too salty. I ended up using the beans on the side to try and balance the flavor out. My spouse had the birria tacos and thought they were decent. Chips and salsa were fine. At $40 for two people the price was fair, but between the slow start to service and the overly salty food, we left feeling just okay about the experience. Not sure we'd make it back.

If you visit Taco Bell or El Charro, you're supporting a corporation. If you visit this place…read moreyou're supporting a family. My wife and I have been running errands and wanted to try something new for supper and found this place on yelp. When we arrived it seemed a little quiet, but the hostess/waitress quickly appeared and showed us to a table. From there everything went smoothly. I opted for a plate of enchiladas, and found them to be very well prepared and seasoned. The salsa had that wonderful tomato forward texture to it that I enjoy very much. The room is small, and it's clear that they get most of their business on carryout. That being said I think if you showed up with a somewhat larger party they would be glad to take care of you. They certainly took good care of us.

Being that I'm on this side of town for a few days, I figured it was finally time to check it out. The location's much bigger with more seating than the Rochester Hills one. Nicely decorated with ample seating, you order at the counter and they run the food out to you. Not sure if they have waitresses or not, but that's how they were running it when I was there. I asked if they had Birria tacos and the man behind the counter said they do, just not on the menu. I ordered the taco dinner with shredded beef, rice, beans and a glass of water. I got served chips and dip which was okay, but the salsa was a bit runny for my liking. The "hot" salsa was good, and wasn't overpowering. Eventually, my food came out and it was a huge portion! I was impressed with all three tacos, rice and beans. It was only $13 on the menu, so I was happy with how much food I was served. The beef was a little on the dry side but still fairly good. Rice and beans were decent, but the music was a bit on the louder side. I docked a star for the meat being a bit dry and louder music considering it wasn't really necessary. The man who rang me up was super nice and friendly and also went through the menu with me since I had a few questions before ordering. Overall, a decent meal for the price and I'd return in the future.

The owner and chef, Ricardo, and his staff are attentive and personable. The elote fries are a great way to start a meal. I've also had a pork tamal/tamale. It was a bit dry, but I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. I've tried four tacos on the menu: acorazado (fried chicken), al pastor, ceviche (marinated shrimp), and carnitas. Of those, the carnitas was by far my favorite. The pork is cooked with pig's feet, which noticeably enhances the flavor profile. I've also had the birria pizza. I personally prefer birria tacos, but have not tried them here yet. On the sweeter side, the aguas frescas, ice cream, and sweet bread are all must-tries. I've also gotten the chocolate-dipped banana. I would get this again, but the other sweets are superior. After sampling all the aguas frescas and ice cream flavors, I can honestly say I enjoyed them all. The ice cream stood out the most, as there are so many unique flavors. Prickly pear, gancito, tres leches, bubble gum, and piñon (pine nut) are just a few of the options available. As for the sweet bread, I got it on my way out, and it barely made it to my car. Although I loved the elote fries and carnitas taco, it was the sweets that impressed me the most. Most importantly, everything is made in-house. In a day and age where outsourcing has become so common, an establishment like Michi Michi cannot go unappreciated.
