This place is great if you are looking for a good "cheap " meal. Their soups, salads and sides are great. They have a 6oz filet for only $16.99! That's unheard of this day and age. We have been here twice and have had two different male Bartenders wait on us. They were both so down to earth, seemed legit honest in their opinions and recommendations on the food... our guy even gave us both a good size sampling of the corn chowder to try all on his own instead of having us buy it and maybe not like it... turns out it was fantastic so we grabbed a bowl to split on top of everything else we ordered... The best thing about this place was probably the waitress. There were six of us girls, and there were a lot of decisions that were changed. The waitress was calm and very accommodating. I had the French onion, soup and brussels sprouts with bacon, and they were both very good table shared a pile of homemade potato chips, which were amazing. I will be back! read more

Wow wow wow! That's my genuine review of this place! I came in for the first time tonight and let's just say , I am going to be a life long customer. I was greeted by Robbie and Corey they are absolute gems. I ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection , side of Mac and cheese is to die for. I wish I took a picture of my food before eating it because it was so yummy and presentation was great. Needless to say , you have to check this place out. We finally had a chance to try Abbibo. We entered from the rear of the restaurant which was dark. The bathrooms are near the rear. We walked to the front and a lady sitting at the bar told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a hi top table. The restaurant wasn't full and the people appeared to be having a good time. There are a variety of games for customers to play. Our server was also the bartender. I don't recall her name. The food was absolutely delicious and we will return. read more

Abbibo is neither memorable nor is there any particular reason making me desire to revisit (sorry, not being a b*tch, just being honest!). We went here and both ordered the New York strip dinner. The bartender was also our server even though we didn't sit at the bar. At first we were a little nervous, The bartender was busy talking to patrons and it took probably a solid 5 minutes to even be greeted and asked what drinks we wanted. The pattern persisted through our dinner; the bartender was whooping it up at the bar - not serving drinks by any means (I sat facing the bar so I had nothing else to really look at but what was going on at the bar), hey no biggie, I get it... BUT at least occasionally check with the other customers, especially when we are staring directly at you and trying to get your attention. The strip steaks were- how do I describe them - ..... cute? Lol. Thankfully we weren't starving because they were really small, and thin. I'm guessing 6/7oz. And it wasn't just a fluke, we ordered two strip dinners and they both were small. The cuts weren't phenomenal by any stretch or the imagination. Anyways I'm not bashing, I did give 3 stars! That's right smack down the middle. But I don't foresee ever going back, especially with bath city across street. Prime example of a hidden gem in Mt Clemens. The food comes fast and the drinks come even quicker and go down a lot smoother. If you stop in, try the monte cristo; delicious is an understatement. The steak also will make you want to come back again. For a late late snack, you can't go wrong with the sliders. An easy favorite if I stop in late at night. The staff is great and very attentive. The big screen in front of the DJ booth is awesome for watching big games on or fights Tuesday's are quite the event in the summer time with Bike Night and Taco Tuesday. What's better than $1 tacos? Food was good, but very basic. Wasn't bad, but didn't "wow" me either. The queso dip was uninspiring, and was a small serving. I've been spoiled by other restaurants, I guess. Loved the tortilla soup. My cheese quesadilla was boring as well. My son had an Abbibo burger, he loved it, and it did look amazing. My other son had a huge and nicely prepared taco salad. Apparently, it's what you order. Some things are great, others are average. But again, nothing was bad. We were here on "taco Tuesday", which featured a very inexpensive Mexican menu - I loved the $3 house margarita! The service was excellent!! Kaitlyn (sp?) was our waitress, she was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. She made this review a four star review instead of a three star. Thank you. Bottom line.. Yet again I had an absolute horrible experience. My mother and I had ordered the jalapeño poppers they were coated with a really thick breading and the bacon wrapped around the jalapeños was completely raw and the jalapeños and cream cheese inside were ice cold they were horrible. I tried to have a better experience this time but it also was ruined by our waitress that seemed like she had been on some sort of med she was like basically asleep she hardly helped us and every time we asked her question she kind of just zoned out it was an awful experience I do not recommend ever going here read more

Staff was rude and disrepectful. Some waitress who was just hanging out there on her day off snatched my drink off my table and told me to leave because I didn't understand how the downtown oasis event works. I didn't feel like arguing over a third of a drink and didn't want to support a place with employees like that with my business so I just left.. Well I gotta update my review..we actually went in and sat down here lastnight. No greeting as we walked in. We just sat by the door cuz didn't know what to do. We are feeling like A-holes just standing there so we walked over to a table. Now I see why they have some bad reviews. The waitress only cared about the ppl at the bar. Don't have tables outside of the bar if u guys don't like walking over there. (We were at a table off to the side). I'm not even going to get into detail about her but Had to ask for even ketchup (burger & fries should be common sense to automatically have ketchup on the table or bring out). Took long in between stops at our table. Just waited around ALOT - for the bill etc. I didn't want to tip her but I gave her 5 bucks. There was also a guy tending bar. He didn't notice us at all. The old name always had good food, and a great daytime bartender in Tom. Other than that - it was lacking. Now - good lord. Went there for lunch twice this week and it should have been more often. Two different servers both where fantastic. The cooks are still there (good thing) & the new menu is fantastic. Better quality ingredients, and better meals. Today I had the Monte Crisco - mouth is watering just thinking about it. if Benniginas was this good they might still be around. I can't wait to go back - although my waist can. I was looking on Yelp and saw a review for Abbibo that mentioned the Monte Cristo sandwich. That got my attention.... There's nothing I like better than a Monte Cristo, and since Bennigan's went out of business, it's been hard to find a fix. The version I like is the battered and fried one with raspberry jam, not the "let's slap a sandwich on french toast and serve it with syrup" kind. It was a pain to get to Abbibo the day we went only because of a marathon or charity walk going on in the Clem, but we made it there. It's a cute little place, and Brittany gave us lots of attention as some of the few customers in the restaurant. We started with the broccoli cheese soup, which was surprisingly spicy. I liked it, my wife did but wished it didn't have quite a kick. She had a reuben, which she said was very good. Then came the main event -- the sandwich, which is made like two sushi rolls. It was light and crispy, and luscious. This is one heck of a Monte Cristo and worth the drive down to the Clem. We will be back. read more

We go there normally, but during the "shelter in place" order, we want to help our local restaurants stay in business. Ordered the Filet Mignon and it was delicious. Plus it was delivered right to our car by Jeff. And they're giving a 10% discount during the "corona-geddon". Good food and a little humor served with it helps a lot. The Monte Cristo is a fat kids dream come to life! lol We stopped in this past Saturday for lunch. We were able to use the $15 off $30 yelp offer (Woohoo!)! Our server was very nice and you could tell she enjoyed her job! She was covering the bar and the floor and had no problem keeping up with both. She knew the beers on tap and when we asked for food recommendations, she had no problem making a few suggestions. We had the potato skins for an app. They were good. They were made in house, not frozen tato skins! The Hubs ordered a steak sandwich and our server asked how he wanted the steak cooked. He ordered medium rare. That sandwich came out with medium rare steak on it and my husband said it was really good steak! I ordered the monte cristo. If you missed the famous sandwich from that old irish tavern franchise, this will satisfy the craving! I didn't even touch my fries, I just devoured the sandwich roll. lol We will really enjoyed our meal and our service. We cannot wait to come back! read more

Abbibo: to drink or consume Looking for a new place to drink or hang out...entering the long hallway was a little confused at which way to go left or right but when I saw the line of booths on the right and went for it. Inside was a slightly dark sports-type bar. Small wood floor with a lit up red wall and podium for karaoke or a small band I could only presume. Sat down at the bar. Thought it took a little while for the bartenders to approach me but they were nice enough. Don't get me started on my fellow customers though, I'll just judge the place an service and atmosphere. The mixed drink was fine, just enough alcohol. 3-4 bright flatscreen tv's. Back and front entry, plenty of parking in the back because it's Downtown Clem. Other then that, not a bad little sports dive bar. Menu prices average from about $7-$15. $10 for the Jack n' Coke Burger. I'm curious about the food though, most nights kitchen closes at 11. From what I saw before closing though the food looked alright; Juicy wings and potato wedges. Loud crowd but I might go back at least one more time read more
