Fun bar! Cocktails, beer, and ducks! What could go wrong? Nice wait staff too. Low key vibe.

Boo - was cloudy - outdoor tiki patio was closed. No worries - the interior part of place was fine. Great barmaid.sat at bar. Started with a summer adult beverage- good . Ordered cup of chili and shared bacon, chicken sliders came with chips,coleslaw- very good. An old timer provided 5 minutes of entertainment. Appeared quite drunk- came in told barmaid his name is hammer, asked if she would marry him, ordered beer took 2 sips asked for it to go,was told no- stormed out - said he's never coming back !

This bar was recommended to me through a Facebook suggestion and the name of it absolutely drew me in. Of course the first thing I did was giggle, but after that I was totally drawn in. Now first things first. This is a local watering hole, dive bar type of joint. I walked in not knowing what to fully expect but assumed on one end it would be a hipster dive bar with Hamm's, PBR and a selection of craft beer OR it would filled with locals drinking lawnmower beers and having a great time. It was definitely the latter. I took a seat at the bar ordered a Miller Lite and hunted for the MSU game on. There are several TVs in here but the main one over the bar had on the women's tournament and most of the others had on NASCAR. They finally switched a couple of the TVs to the game. This is not the place to go to if you want to watch sports, even with all the TVs. They had music playing over the game (great 80s music but still) and the vast majority of the clientele didn't seem to be into the game. I didn't try the food menu, but I did see one of the servers carrying out what looked like a pretty delicious mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and possible meatloaf??? Not sure. But it looked really good. The staff was super nice and attentive and the prices were great. I don't know that I would specifically come back again, but it is definitely a fun spot for a group of friends to drink without breaking the bank.

We didn't eat here (just a couple of drinks), but the menu looks really good. It was very clean and the servers were great. Looking forward to going back for food! I do wish they had a cocktail menu...

I love this place! Nothing fancy, but the service was excellent, and the food was really good - and the prices even better. I had the BLT sliders with chips. Very good. I wish they offered French fries - they do have tots, but they were out the day I was there. Someone at another table ordered the meatloaf, and it looked awesome. And a huge plate of food (came with corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a roll) for $12! Heck, a fast food crappy combo meal can cost that much. What a deal, I'll have to try it sometime. Lots of TVs here also make this a good place to watch a game, too. And they have a pool table. Cool place.

Great little hole-in-the-wall bar with good drinks, fast service, and an awesome patio that was recently redone as a tiki bar theme and can be reserved for private parties! When you're a first timer, they give you a mini rubber duck in your drink! Haven't tried the food yet, but will be back! Bring cash for king crab nights for a little bit of a discount (there's a convenience fee for paying with card).

I've been waiting to check out the Rubber Duck! Can't think of a better spot to watch March Madness games. Go Spartans, Go CATS!!! Fun little local bar with a limited food selection and drinks. I was a little disappointed that they were out of a few items on the menu. We wanted the ham and BLT sliders, but all out of the pig, i guess! Lol The pretzel bites with white queso were very good! Can't go wrong with a pretzel in my opinion. There are plenty of TVs and I love the fire place. The weather is breaking and it will be patio season soon!

Oudoor space, Tiki Bar will come back when they have entertainment.

It doesn't feel thrown together at all. The finishes, the vibe, even the way everything flows... it's just nice. And the outdoor patio?? Huge. Like, you can actually breathe out there and not feel packed in. I love that there are different levels with bands and different energy depending on what you're in the mood for. That said... the upstairs is LOUD. Like borderline "I can't hear the person next to me" loud lol. Maybe I'm just getting old but wow. Drinks are where they shine. Stick with beer or whiskey and you're golden. Food used to be rough, not gonna lie, but I gave it another shot recently and it was actually really good this time, so that was a pleasant surprise. Service has always been solid for me. Nothing over the top, just consistently good. Overall, it's one of those places you go knowing you'll have a good time, even if it gets a little chaotic. I'll def keep coming back.

I feel a similar sense of guilt about how I've treated this restaurant. I've been here since Covid, but I should've updated my review. While I didn't like how they handled the pandemic (Faye acted like there was no pandemic), the food has always been amazing. And, it still is. I'm not happy that they don't have sandwiches anymore, unless you count hamburgers. But, I understand businesses need to simplify to stay profitable. I don't think lack of sandwiches is going to be a problem if they keep making the burgers this good. The beefiness is profound, and it shows that they are using fresh, high-quality meat. The mushroom and Swiss burger has a stack of sautéed mushrooms and a generous amount of Swiss. I really appreciate the waitress asking me first if I wanted mayo on it... mayo would've taken away from the robust flavors. I actually kept going "mm-mm" after each bite. And, look at the ridiculous amount of fries in my picture. These are seriously good fries. I do want to order the fish and chips next time. My daughter got them, and I'm glad she was willing to share. The whitefish has a sweetness you only get from fresh fish. And, the breading is crispy, and not the least bit greasy. My wife said she wasn't hungry (though she did have a bite of everything we ordered), so she ordered the cream of broccoli soup. It was wonderfully flavorful. As with everything else we ordered today, we would be happy to order it again. The service was excellent, and I don't mind the no-frills setting. There's no way you'd expect an old school bar to have food this good. Coming here during happy hour also helped. A strong Moscow Mule cost $10, and my 22 ounce Guinness only cost $8. Sorry, Your Mothers. I definitely won't neglect you for so long next time.

I've spent plenty of time in Hamtramck Polish restaurants, and this one does a great job. This time…read morearound I ordered the full Polish platter. Homemade pierogies, Glumpki (soelling?), including the sauce. Awesome sauerkraut and two types of sausage, although I do prefer the smoked, both go great when dipped into a horseradish mustard sauce that they give to us upon request. I'm not a big potato pancake person, but it was homemade and prepared correctly. I also grabbed a side salad and it's not cheap iceberg salad, rather a nice variety of greens. They even catered to me when I asked for extra dressing because I like to drown my salad! I got a couple of Polish beers and they have a nice bourbon selection. My wife wasn't feeling Polish food, so she got the pork chops, which smelled great and she said were delicious. Two large cuts, right off the grill, and a bunch of sides. No complaints! The waitress was very accommodating and service was perfect. It was pretty busy in there, but she handled all of the tables and we never felt like we had to wait for anything. Cool atmosphere on the inside and plenty of parking, just a nice place to hang out and have dinner, stress free. They also have several TVs so if there's a game on, you'll be able to watch it. Also a long bar with locals if you want to hang out and have some company.

Now The Bad...The polish plate was not good at all. The best part was the boiled potatoes. The golabki (stuffed cabbage) had no flavor and cheap spaghetti sauce was used instead of traditional tomato sauce. The fresh and smoked sausage, sauerkraut, and pierogi had no seasoning and was extremely bland. The wife ordered the polish sliders, and she couldn't even finish one. The best part of her dinner was the french fries. Even the tap beer we ordered tasted skunked. If you're looking for good polish food I suggest you make the trip to Hamtramck.

I really wanted to like this place…read more I came here on New Year's Eve and they had a free buffet, which honestly set the bar pretty high. Simple food but done well -- a sub, stroganoff, salad. Nothing fancy, just generous and genuinely appreciated. Between that and seeing all the events at The Hut (bands, brunch, paint & sip, Super Bowl parties), I fully planned on coming back. Unfortunately, this return visit changed my mind. I ordered the turkey Reuben with onion rings. The onion rings were cooked so hard they lost all flavor, and the turkey was smoked but extremely dry. To make matters worse, there was a small piece of blue plastic or bristle in the sandwich. Service was polite, but uncomfortable at times. The older man -- who I believe may be the owner -- lingered very close, seemed shaky, and poured drinks far stronger than intended. I usually appreciate a generous pour, but these were unbalanced and not enjoyable. When the bill came, there was a cash vs credit price option, and we were told we were the first guests to use the new system. Even so, the total still didn't match the menu prices we ordered from, and that wasn't clearly explained upfront, which made the experience confusing. Ambiance-wise, it's a classic dive bar -- no complaints there. Live bands, lots of events, and a hole-in-the-wall feel. That part is honestly the strongest draw. For anyone unfamiliar, this used to be Mangan's Irish Hut for years. The original owners retired, someone new bought it, and now it's just "The Hut." The Irish Hut signage is still on the building, with BBQ signage in spots as well, so it feels like the place is still finding its identity. If I'm speaking directly to the owner: there is potential here. The event ideas and community focus are great. But food consistency, drink balance, menu accuracy, and clearer communication all need attention.

He helped me figure out how much food I needed to feed my guests. I ended up going with a cookout-style menu. The sliders, toppings, buns, and chicken breasts were arranged so beautifully that I put away my serving platters and set out the takeout trays. The food was delicious and a lot of my guests commented on how nice everything looked and how good the food tasted. The price was very fair and I didn't have to cook or clean much. Pasta and salad sides also were fair priced. All the proteins were gluten-free, dairy, free, and nut free. I will make a note, we didn't discuss temperature of the burgers so this was my fault, and I am only stating so that anyone else who orders makes sure to add that to conversation. the sliders were pink inside. I will order them well done next time, no pink, for the sake of them being in a warmer for the duration of the party and keeping leftovers for the next day.
