Loaded Sausage Dog: $15

Tried food truck out when they visited Dekalb County. Food was bland. Portions were small, considering price. Not impressed at all. Actually very disappointed.

This is waiting for 2nd round!!!

First time visiting Atlanta and had to stop by and try out this highly rated establishment and so happy I made it part of my list. We arrived towards the end of the night with enough time before closing but obviously not realizing there are a few dishes that sell out so keep that in mind. Nevertheless service was stand out once we walked in and were kindly greeted by the host. We then sat down at our table and were then greeted with our server Tiffany. Let me just say we need a Tiffany everywhere, this girl really went above and beyond and truly welcomed us and genuinely was just a pleasure to interact with through out the whole visit. She really wanted to give us the best experience and recommendations for our first visit and let me just say everything was amazing and the service was top tier, such a great place with a great atmosphere, service and amazing food. What more can you ask for. She would def be the reason we visit Atlanta again and go back to eat here.

As a new Atlanta resident, I'd heard the line was long but food would be good and worth hanging out. We arrived at 430pm on Thursday, no wait, had a pleasant waitress who let us ooh and ahh for a bit before deciding on our choices.

My friends and I came here for a week day dinner. You order first and then you find seats. The…read moreseats are first come first serve. It can get packed later at night so I recommend coming earlier in the evening. The inside was pretty cozy but there are seats outside as well. Soon after we sat down, there was a live performer that played guitar and sang songs, she was so good! For the food, the ribs were delicious. The ribs fell right off the bone. 1/2 slab of ribs were more than enough for a meal. The rum baked beans and the collard greens were my personal favorite sides. This is a great neighborhood bbq place and I would def come back again!

If there was a rub, it was subtle to the point of being almost untasteable. Quarter rack of Ribs: poor. Meaty, but far too tough, definitely not fall off the bone. Again lacking in flavor, and burnt in spots. Side of Mac n Cheese: easily the start of the show. Very flavorful, baked and not swimming in cheese sauce, possible notes of ritz crackers detected. I'd have eaten a main course sized portion, and imagine it could mix well with pulled pork or chopped brisket, should Matt's ever consider expanding their repertoire of meats. Side of potato salad: also very solid. Simple but nicely flavored, just creamy enough. Side of collards: fine but unremarkable. Bbq sauce: decent-ish, more tangy than sweet. Very thick. Packaging : Matt's really could improve here. The ribs and chicken, piled together between two slices of white bread, was wrapped in white paper which was in turn stuffed into a paper bag with the containers of sides. This was messy- yes, bbq is by nature a messy undertaking, but a clamshell container would've made the whole fiasco a lot easier to deal with. A fork and spoon were included, no knife... and no napkins. Really? For a paper wrapped oversauced pile of meat... not even a single napkin? I honestly would've been fine paying an extra buck or so for some better packaging and, IDK, maybe a wetnap. Overall, this bbq lover was unimpressed. Perhaps the rave reviews made my expectations too high. I've honestly had better bbq at multiple places in my relative bbq desert hometown of Boston. I was hoping for a real treat during my business trip to Atlanta; instead, I'm yearning for the joint near my suburban New England home...

Y'all, earlier this summer, my partner and I were craving BBQ after watching the Netflix show,…read moreBarbecue Showdown. That was on a Friday around 11 p.m. We woke up the next day thinking about ribs, lol, and my partner suggested Brisket Smokehouse. It was near us, and we figured it would be nice to check out a new place. When we arrived, I was slightly disappointed to find out that Brisket Smokehouse was a food truck, not a sit-down restaurant. Since we beat Buckhead's traffic to get here, we decided to try their food instead of driving elsewhere. We ordered Ribs, Brisket, Smoked Wings, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, and Mac n' Cheese. It took about 30 minutes for our order to arrive. The food not only looked good, absolutely everything tasted delicious, too! So much flavor and juiciness! I can't believe I never heard of this place before. Brisket Smokehouse is my new favorite place for BBQ in Atlanta.
