Wally gave me my first hair cut and he did a fantastic job. I watched Robert come up in the shop from the bottom to the top. He is now my preferred barber. I had a great barber that I'd been with for a few years. However, he changed shops and moved to Adams Ave. Just too far to drive from east county. I tried Great Clips in Santee. They couldn't even keep my sideburns at the same length, much less provide a quality cut. Then I tried Refined Barbershop in El Cajon. Trying to get a quality traditional haircut there was like trying to climb Mt. Everest while wearing roller skates. The haircut I received there last week was the worst I've EVER experienced. It was so bad I needed to find another shop to see if they could make me look human again. After speaking with a neighbor, I found out about Wally and "J's." He had been using them for 6 or 7 years. I went down there yesterday, and spoke with Wally. He could see the atrocity. Within about 20 minutes Wally had me looking human again. Not only that, it was the quality of what he accomplished. Much shorter than I normally wear my hair, but that was necessary to accomplish the task. It looked great. I haven't experienced that degree in professionalism in over 2 years. It's difficult to find conscientious and quality oriented barbers anymore. From this point forward Wally had my business. read more
