Well, I recently found my new barbershop. Raymond's barbershop in Santee has outstanding service, a classic ambience, reminiscent of 1970s and 80s barbershops and a skilled, diverse set of barbers that I would definitely trust my cut to. My barber, Nick Greenz, is one I've been with for a long time. Her attention to detail is evident based on the always clean lines and exacting precision she exercises when cutting my hair and beard. Nick is 100% focused on me, and on others I have watched as I've been waiting, when she cuts hair. You definitely get the full treatment at Raymond's! My favorite Gabel's Bay Rum aftershave, a hot towel, a hot shave, and I have always walk out feeling like a million bucks. Javier, Nick and all of the barbers are extremely nice and super chill to talk with. Additionally, they have a chessboard in the middle of the shop that you can enjoy a friendly game with your friends or another customer while you wait. I'm beyond impressed with Raymond. It's been a landmark for years in Santee and now that Greenz is there, so shall I be. read more

2/21/23 - my male friend was looking for a hot shave and a haircut all at the same place. This place had very good reviews and met the criteria I found. Wide and open. Good amount of people in there. Open chess game going on when we entered and a hidden pool table area. My friend tried to call and no one picked up. He walked in and was greeted and there was no wait. Cool and funky style in there. Great shave and haircut by 2 different persons. Would suggest to go there if you are a male. Haircut was pricey, at $35 for a men's haircut and the hot shave was $30. They take just cash and Venmo. No credit cards. Guess there's a master chess player there. Have fun if you go. Good luck trying to beat the chess master. See the photos. I was in the area keeping tabs. Best. read more

So I was trying to leave a review for Kendal on Booksy but it just wasn't happening so here I am to show my beautiful haircut on Yelp. If you have Asian hair, the man knows exactly how to take care of it. I had super long hair and I walked in desperate to get it chopped and texturized. I've been in this headspace before and have been disappointed numerous occasions but I usually just suck it up and let my hair do its thing again. I laughed so much and during the whole process just trusted that Kendal knew exactly what he was doing. His attention for detail is practically microscopic. I love my hair and will come back 10 outta 10 HIGHLY RECCOMEND read more

Lily is a GEM! Highly recommend booking her. Can't speak of the others because we have only came in for her. She is so great with our son and has also started cutting my wife's hair too. She's quick but still takes her time making sure you leave her chair happy and satisfied. The vibe of the entire shop is great. Great music, friendly barbers and someone's always telling some wild story. read more

Great vibe and great barbers. if you need a haircut definitely go there. They also do hot shaves

I went there today to get my sons haircut. When we walked in, no one acknowledged us. We waited an hour and then I finally approached one of the barbers and asked if someone would be able to cut my sons hair. He said he had to take someone that had called on the phone first. But me and my son has been waiting for 30 minutes before the phone call even came in. I heard the whole exchange. They should have put our name down or something. How is it OK to take someone that called in when we had already been sitting for 30 minutes? Terrible customer service and bad vibes here. read more

Saw them on the TV in Chuze Santee next door! Met Javier and he did awesome with the cut and the whole shop is really friendly. They have a great looking place with a pool table in the back and other things to keep you from being bored while you wait. They take walk-ins, but what I loved was being able to book an appt through their booking link. Seriously clutch! Love this place! read more

Kelly was awesome and fixed what someone else at a different shop got very wrong with my son. Thanks, Kelly! The vibe of this place is very chill. We'll for sure be back, and I may even bring my husband next time, too! read more

Raymond's Barber Shop - Kid's hair cut - Barbers Near Me - Santee, California

Best Barbershop in town. I was greeted with smiles, and friendly people. Sat down for a cut, only waiting about 10 mins as a walk in. I was watching all the various types of cuts they were doing. And was interested in some of them. Opened my eyes to what I could do with my hair. Was offered a complimentary beverage. The overall vibe was welcoming Very family friendly. Pool table in the back, kids playing chess, foozball, tons of products to chose from. The music was sooo good as well. I almost didn't want to leave ;) And of course my hair was on point. Thanks Griffin See ya again Raymond's read more

Javier and the guys will keep you looking good with clean cuts and top notch customer service. My son, four years old, and I see Javier for our cuts but everyone there is a great barber. I took my brother here while he was in town for a work event. Javier was busy so Barkley took care of him. This was my brother's first time there. He came out ranting and raving about what an awesome barbershop Raymond's was. I had to explain to him that I already knew that, that is why I brought him there. I've been to a lot of barbershops in my life and I can tell you that Raymond's is legit. Just great guys that will give you a great cut with awesome service and no gimmicky frills. And remember that I take my four year old son here, this is not just a men's barbershop. I see lots of families here with kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers. This place is very family friendly. read more

Mike Soto! Found him on Yelp and LOVED his work and the reviews. I was nervous as this would be my sons first haircut and he's 2yo so you can imagine what scenarios I envisioned. LOL Let's just say it went AMAZING and we're already on our 3rd visit (we go every month now). Sorry my review is so late Mike! My son sat perfectly still and listened to Mike when he would ask him to move a certain directions. I was like, YAAAS! He even hooked us up with the rest of his hair cream he used for my son to take home after his 1st visit. I thought that was very kind and thoughtful of him. See you next month (and each thereafter) Mike! read more

Great Barber Shop! A very BIG thank you to Cesar too! He gave my son, 4 years old, a wonderful haircut experience. He was patient, kind and very friendly. My son normally is a wiggle worm, but with Cesar he maintained his composure, a pleasant surprise. I would say this is one of the best haircuts my son has had. Definitely, kid friendly. The shop is clean, bright and welcoming. I really enjoyed the vibe. The price was wonderful as well; Child $15. It's great to find a Barber Shop that one can trust, and I think I've found it. We will be back very soon :) read more

First time here and my son is hooked. We normally just hit up Supercuts in the same parking lot. But we have had troubles getting in over there due to staffing. So we tried this place and let me just say. My sons never going to let me take him to Supercuts again. Not only is everyone super friendly. But they have a pool table, chess and a foosball table. We will definitely be back. And thank you to LiLy for my sons haircut. I know his hair is not the easiest to manage read more

First time at this barber shop, and as soon as we walked in, we were impressed. The shop is spacious, and the decor sets the vibe of a modern yet classic barber shop experience. The antique barber chaiirs and stations are so cool. The music is great and it was nice and cool inside, creating the perfect environment for a haircut. As for the cut itself, we had an appointment with Nick, who is a very experienced barber. He is a very personable guy who takes pride in his work, and it shows. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Raymond's barber shop in Santee is the place to be! The new location makes parking easier and the space is much more vibrant than before. I've been coming to Raymond's for a while now and will never stray away...I get my cut with Javier, who's father owns the original Raymond's in north park. He's got skill and a resume to back it. I've seen the talent in this barber shop and guarantee you won't be disappointed. Great ambiance, great convos, and great cuts. read more

Javier, Firstly, the review was not for the cut, but for the customer service. According to Yelp a one-star rating is "Eek! Methinks not"... I think that accurately describes the experience. That was almost exactly my thought as I left your place of business. Second, I get that you're a local business, but don't give me the "trying to make it in a tough economy" speech... the economy is booming right now up in almost every measure. Lastly, you didn't refute anything in my review... you simply said how great your cuts are and how you go above and beyond for customers... then proceeded to say you don't want me and my ilk as customers. I'll update and give another star for you being at least honorable enough to respond on here. But it doesn't change my experience. When I Yelp!, I try to simply retell the peoples here what my experience was, the facts, of what happened. Sadly, nothing you've said can change that. But like I said, I wish no malice, ill intent, or anything like that. Best of luck to you and yours! read more

They're INDOORS now. Much cooler with the CA heat this summer! No worries though, they spaced out the barbers, everyone must wear a mask, and it's by appointment only (controls the occupancy density really well). read more

This is a retro vintage barber shop that does the classic cuts as well as the latest high fades, flat tops and disconnected pomps. They also do beard trimming, hot face towels, blade n cream round the ears!"/neck and slick line ups. Mike the barber and gang prefer appointments but walk-ins are welcome. Well...over 5 years of haircuts and this place still exceeds my expectations!! A great place to go for all of your barbershop needs!!

I recently transferred over to Raymond's from Ducky's because my barber made a move. Mike has been cutting my hair for about 6 years now and has always done a fantastic job. He is super talented, knows what he is doing, is personable, and is an all around great guy. If you need a cut, swing by the shop or call ahead and ask for Mike. What can i say?! 8 years ago, in my search for the official SD Barbershop, i was cruisin down University ave and spotted the barber pole outside a small hole-in-the-wall spot in North Park. Raymonds Barber Shop. Went in, asked a few basic Barber Shop questions to confirm they were indeed official, went back a few days later and havent gone anywhere else since! Damn...now what?! The man Javier movin to Santee to start his own shop! Well, i could go to some 'other' barber shop, or (using my head) figure out a way to get up to Santee! No question! Im going to Santee! Still in its early stages, the new shop is already lookin proper! And so is my head, thanks to Javier! Im happy for these guys, both Felipe and Javier, real 'classy gents'. Nothin but praise for both of em! Check em out, see whats up, like me, youre not gunna have the need (or want) to go anywhere else for a cut! Truly inspirational! What can i say!? read more

My barber, Mike, just moved to this location. I had no problem following him here because he's a professional. I've gotten my haircut all over the world, and no one has come close to Mike. And for the price? He can't be beat. Mike is a fantastic barber and person. If you want to talk, he's open for a conversation, but he doesn't force the small talk and let's you lead the conversation. I was hesitant going to a new shop at first, however, any doubts were gone once I walked in. It was a welcoming environment and everyone was friendly. I can't stand the pretentiousness found at some shops, but you won't find that at Raymond's. If you're looking for an amazing haircut at a great price, hit Mike Soto up at Raymond's. read more
