Just got my haircut by J and honestly this was one of the best cuts I've ever had Dude is super professional but also really chill and easy to talk to, makes the whole experience feel comfortable. He actually took the time to help me figure out a style that fits me and is easy to maintain, not just rushing through it like most places. You can tell he really knows what he's doing--attention to detail is on point and the cut came out clean. If you're looking for a barber that's skilled, personable, and actually cares about how you look when you leave, J is the guy. Highly recommend read more

Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Kiki's 1st haircut - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

I've been getting my haircut from the shop owner Geo for close to 7 years. Booking an appointment on the website is super easy and my cuts have always come out crispy. The vibe of the shop is also very welcoming and family friendly. I have even recommended Clipper Crew Barber Shop to my friends and family. Now, I am recommending you to come and visit the shop for a cut. Check out Geo, Jay and Tito for the best cuts in San Diego read more

This one star rating is for the barber YES, who lacked professionalism in responding back to my availability request for him to give me a haircut. I reached out to him 5 times over a span of 4 days. 3 times I texted him, no response but he read my message. One time I called into the shop to verify if he was still employed but was advised he was and to call him directly back later that day. I call back get a hold of him, and then he abruptly ends the call and tells me to text him again. I do that and once again get ghosted. I tried coordinating this appointment one week in advance for a wedding I am attending this weekend on the east coast. Thank god I booked an appointment online and YOUSIF was available to cut me. He did a great job but unfortunately YES couldn't afford me the same level of professionalism that I expect from a barber who cuts at a barbershop. I have been coming to this barbershop on and off since 2014 regardless of management. Not sure if I'll return ever again. read more

Brought my HS boys on a recommendation from a current customer. I have a boy with shorter curly hair and one with medium long straight thick hair. I was wondering if they would be able to handle both because it seems like I always have to find two separate barbers for them but they did great on both boys. I thought the price was fair for the detail and work put in. read more

Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Totally different hair. Great haircuts on both. - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Been coming here for a few months. Everybody's cool, very chill spot, Good cuts. I go to Yousif, but most of the barbers do a good job.

Yousif hands down cleanest work at the shop I work close and he's always come in clutch Doesn't take long to do the cuts Prices are great highly recommend coming on by and setting something up with Yousif or Gio read more

This place is horrible messed my hairline up by yousif feel like going back over there to slap the shit out of him he shouldn't even be a barber if he's going to mess peoples hair up like that someone should really fire him or at least not let him work there read more

I had to get a haircut after almost a year of long curly hair. Unfortunately, there was limited places that accepted card/venmo. I found Clipper Crew near busy El Cajon area and was able to get an appointment with Jay at the last minute. I purchased the bundle which included haircut, eyebrows, facial cleanse. He did a great job, and was very professional. Him and his team is a good time especially with throwback music. Highly recommend. read more

I started bringing my son here because after procrastinating one weekend, I found myself scrambling to get my son's haircut late on a Sunday afternoon. I did a search & called the first open barbershop closest to my house & it's been history ever since. My son has had his haircut by a few barbers in the shop... but the best in my opinion & the only barber to cut his hair now is Gio. He's always nice & professional & you'd swear he was an architect the way he cuts. His lines are always so precise. My son gets compliments all the time on his hair. The inside of the shop is nice as well. Will always recommend this place & Gio if you need to get crispy. read more

Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Geo barber - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Grossly overcharges for haircuts, 0/10 would recommend. Only go here if you want to be completely robbed of your money.

Gio (shop owner), has been cutting my hair for two years now. The quality of my cuts from him have always been top notch, he never misses. Going into the shop and him already knowing the type of cut I want is a plus in a barber. He always has music playing while you wait and an arcade machine of mortal kombat to play. The ambiance of this place is what got me hooked to his shop and I could tell it'll only get better with time. Thank you Gio for your hospitality and what you do for the community! read more

I expected a better haircut for the price...I left with hair in my mouth...he didn't use a blow dryer...

Nice barbershop, decor was cute but I paid 25 for a 7y/o hair cut. I've been getting my sons hair cut in CA, VA,& OK for years . Standard across the board 12-15 (design) . Nah. Definitely not paying $25 plus $5 tip for a kids haircut that's only being seen at recess. read more

Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Gio got me right! - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Popped into this place really on a whim, just driving by. Hands-down this was the best (line-up) I've ever gotten done on my beard. The attention to detail from Chun made me think my beard that he was working on was the Mona Lisa, it was unbelievable, and supremely talented. I would recommend you check this place out. Slightly rough around the edges but these dudes in there work hard, are super professional and master's of their craft. read more

Yousif was good barber helped me with everything I needed I would recommend this barber to anyone in SD. Good service good price

I don't like getting my haircut anywhere else other than my barber in North Park. However, today, I had to get a haircut in El Cajon before 9.30, and this was the only shop that was open. So I decided to give it a try, even though the reviews that I've read here really worried me. I wouldn't give this place a chance at all, if it wasn't my only option this morning. Reviews are definitely something they need to work on. I wasn't expecting anyone to greet me, so I was ready for an awkward waiting process. However, two out of three barbers greeted me, and one of them asked if I wanted to get a cut. He did a good job overall, took way longer than my own barber, but I think it's normal considering that it was 9 in the morning, I was probably his first customer and it was his first time cutting my hair as well. Two guys were watching the world cup and chatting with each other, it was a nice atmosphere and nice decor. I'm happy enough with the final results that I got. read more

Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Fade with hard part - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

My son went in for a haircut and was told it would be no more than 20min wait. After an hour I called in to see what was up because my son was waiting for an hr. Alex told me "he needs to be patient" lol after almost 2hrs still nothing. They didn't even speak to him to let him know what the deal was. I just told him to leave. Hes 11, goes to this shop at least once every couple months for the past year. Gio was cool he said that's the only reason for the 2 stars. Haha read more

Came in and I had some kid that was just training . His friend was coaching him on how to fix he fuck ups. 20$. I felt bad for the kid but couldn't even do a fade. I would not recommend this shop because it was also dirty inside . barbers at this spot are not worth 20$. Should be 8-12$. Like all the other mom and pops . read more

Wish I could give it minus stars. Forst of all he texted me talking bout can I zelle him the money up front while I'm at work. I tell him to wait and he basically begging me to send it. I send him money through my bank but he don't want it like that. CRAZY! read more

Came in here for the first time a month ago from recommendations from my friends. Got a haircut by an African American man with glasses. I asked for trim up top and a low skin fade. During the haircut, here is my experience... Strike 1: talking on the phone for a few minutes while cutting my hair Strike 2: While taking a break to clean the clippers, he picked up his phone and started texting Strike 3: I asked skin fade and it wasn't Strike 4: putting his fingers on my lips when using a razor blade Strike 5: the lineup I probably should've spoke up about it, but I didn't want to offend him. Took it to yelp instead to warn people. $25 for a bad haircut is ridiculous. I also expect a licensed barber to know what a straight line looks like. I complained to my friends and they said the barbers with the dreads are the best, but I doubt I will come here again. read more

Wasn't greeted when I entered the shop. No one acknowledged me or made an attempt to tell me I'd be getting serviced soon, sat there for 1 hour before anyone offered to cut my hair. Geo cut my hair , did an Ookay job. Messed up my line up which made me look like I had a huge forehead . Not good at all. My two cents. I Guess I'm just used to friendlier vibes and service . read more

Jordan did an awesome job! My son is 1.5 years old and I called before coming in to make sure they were ok cutting his hair. As we came in we were greeted in a friendly matter. Clipper Crew Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Came in. No barbers but the owner. Found out my main barber from bounced. So, hes cutting someones hair another barber walks in and has a appointment so that person jumps ahead of me. After the owner is done, im ready to get up and get on the chair and he tells me (hold on i havent ate) dude starts eating in front of me having conversations with the other barber and im just siting there. So i wait until hes done then he says to his people "does anyone want anything from the liquor store?" And walks right out. Hahahaha. Ive never seen that before in my life. Didnt tell me nothing. I dont know who taught this dude manners, but as a customer, wow man, this was terrible. Dude acts like no one has sh#$ to do. I wont be coming back. read more

I found Bebo on Instagram and was immediately impressed with his work so I booked an appointment. To be fair, on the day of my appointment it was raining and flooding heavily in San Diego. However, I expect some form of communication if you can't keep an appointment. When I arrived Bebo was not there and he was unable to reached by other three barbers. STRIKE ONE. I then said "Is anybody available to give me a cut? It doesn't matter who does it." Everyone looks at me like I'm an alien and no one speaks up. Mind you, the place is completely empty. Bebo's brother (I can't remember his name) volunteers to cut my hair. STRIKE TWO. He did a good job and I have no complaints about the quality of the haircut. Additionally, when Bebo arrived he apologized for his absence and gave some excuse. I was told by Bebo's brother not to book an appointment via the booking site but to text him directly. I followed his instructions and asked for a 4PM appointment two weeks later. I show up at 4PM and I wasn't greeted by anyone in the barbershop (not that important because I'm here for a service, not friendship). More importantly, the barber had just started cutting someone else's hair. At no time did he try to explain himself or offer how long he would be late. That's STRIKE THREE! Barbers are quick to complain about their time being valuable but hold no value for yours. I'm a grown man. The days of me waiting multiple hours for a haircut are long gone. I booked an appointment for a reason. read more

It was easy to make an appt but I didn't like I had to pre pay. $45 is a little extreme in these times. Geo did a horrible job on a tapper and beard. Uneven behind the ears, too high of a line up. Really unsatisfied. Only went to this place because of the limited places open. Won't be back. read more
