I've been going to Ducky's for several years because the service is excellent, friendly and clean. I used to get my haircut & beard trim from Jesse, before he moved to TN. Now Danny cuts my hair and trims my beard and does an excellent job as well. If you don't take your hair care needs to Ducky's, you're losing money. Thank you, Danny, I'll be back. read more

I can't say anything but meticulous, great, friendly, totally on point. Sad I'm moving after I found out. This would be my spot if I was staying. read more

Best barbershop ever, Johnny's great, consistent and efficient. Parking is easy on the weekends. Highly recommended.

Had to find a new barber after going to the same barber for the last 15 years. Recently moved to the area and tried out Ducky's. Glad I found it as quickly as I did because I don't have to worry about going around and getting bad cuts until I find my new spot. Ben hooked me up the first time I went and I just got my second haircut there, this time with Johnny. Both great cuts. Friendly service and reasonable prices. The place has a cool rockabilly vibe going that makes it feel like a REAL barbershop. Will be returning monthly. Highly recommend! read more

I went in for a haircut and beard trim because I wanted to look good for my first day at my new job. I made an appointment online the day before. I was greeted as I walked through the door and I instantly felt right at home. Scott is a great barber and I left looking sharp and feeling confident for my first day at work tomorrow! I will definitely return! read more

Ducky's Barber Shop - Clean trim and line up! - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Great cut, reasonable prices. Cut was clean and able to get an appointment the same day.

Just a simple great cut. There's something nostalgic about going to a barber and getting your hair cut. It reminded me of when I was a much younger lad. Everyone in the shop is amiable, and My wife now insists I make sure to book an appointment with Danny. There's a reason you need to book online (which is very easy), But when everyone was a walk-in, there was always a line! Now it's super easy, log in and check the schedule for Dan, and you'll be good to go. read more

Scheduled a haircut and beard trim for Noon today using the online scheduler, not even last minute but a few days ago. Arrive a few minutes early and get no acknowledgement for the 3 guys there. Wait until 12:15 and still nothing. Walked out. read more

We always come here and my son and husband get the best cuts. The owner is fantastic and does a great job! But so does the other guy that works here! read more

Man I love this place. My first time here and the old school vibe this place has is amazing. Johnny hooked it up with a great fade and even better conversation. This is now my home barber shop and I will absolutely be back. Thanks for a great cut and awesome experience! read more

Great haircut perfect shave, nice friendly barbers there too. Will definitely be going back.

Like many others came to this place after finding them on yelp and seeing all the positive reviews. Well, they can go ahead and add my 5 stars! This will be my regular place for my 5 year old son's haircut. Jesse did an amazing job and was quick! We'll be back! Thank you Ducky's! read more

Johnny at Ducky's Barber Shop has the best kid friend manners! My son is 5yrs old and we've been coming to him for about a year now and we won't go anywhere else! Johnny makes my son feel so comfortable and safe in his chair! He even lets him touch his tools and shows them how they work! He's very patient with him when he's not in the best mood. Highly recommend Ducky's Barber Shop. read more

Ducky's Barber Shop - Showing my son the cutters and how they're used - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

I arrived at the shop around 1-2pm there was 2 barbers both cutting their client, no one was sitting on the benches I asked if they had time to cut me up they said no to me because I didn't have a appointment... dissatisfied at their response, I went down the street shop were they had a lot of seats and Quality hustlers... read more

My normal barber was unexpectedly busy and wasn't taking appointments. I needed a quick cut. Found them on yelp. I called and asked if they accepted walk ins. They took me right in without a wait. My barber was excellent, conversation was great, and the over all vibe was beyond what I expected. During the cut I asked for a light clean up trim on my mustache. Only thing that could have been better was the price. He charged me for a full hair and beard. I didn't feel the very quick 1-2 minute touch up was warranted for the extra 20 that they charge for a full beard. If I would have known I would have done it myself. Great cut. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend. read more

A good barber shop they I think by default go towards an older classic style haircut but if that's your thing you should definitely go if not you can still go just make sure you communicate what you want exactly I looked pretty sharp myself but that's because my barber fixed me up from months without a cut read more

I have a difficult time getting to my regular Barber when their shop is open. I was at Ducky's years ago and had a great cut, so I made a Sunday afternoon appointment with Johnny. He had never cut my hair, but listened to what I said. He did a great job cutting my hair and I got compliments at work today. I really like your shop. It's quite a drive from Julian, but I think I have a new barber. read more

Wow what a gem this place is. Traditional barbershops like this are a rare find and boy am I glad I found this place. Chris was awesome. Cleanest cut I've had in a while. I had total confidence in Chris and I actually didn't even wait that long! Prices are entirely reasonable and the service and cut you get are entirely worth tipping. Pro tip, get there right when they open, also cash only. Tell everyone about this place. They rock! read more

Ducky's Barber Shop - Skin fade - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Time to update my review. This place is fantastic and I always enjoy seeing Jesse for a cut. These guys are real professionals who know what they're doing and you can't go wrong with any hair style. The shop is appointment only and you can schedule the appointments through Booksy. They have a good selection of pomades and hair and beard products. Standard cut is $25 and I'm more than happy to tip each time. They'll never ask but it's well worth it. CASH ONLY! The one thing I wish they would change, but not a deal breaker. read more

I've been going to Ducky's for... at least a few years now. Except for when it was being revamped after the fire, that was a bit of a downer. I've gotten cuts by most of the dudes at Ducky's and never felt rushed or had a bad job done. Jack has been my go to guy the last three or four visits, and I plan on keeping it that way. read more

Jessie there is the best barber I've ever had the place is so clean and very friendly atmosphere highly recommend it

Unconventional barbers, providing traditional haircuts, using real men barber tools. Arrive early and bring cash. My wait was short.. I arrived early. But it seemed like all the barbers wanted to go on extended-stay smoke breaks when my name was up. The feller who gave me a good buzz cut, high and tight, and a decent beard trim was rewarded with an generous tip for his attention to detail and thoughtful conversation. They're a bit off the beaten path, but if you're willing to venture out to make the trek over there, they're A-OK. Next time old Buck's in the neighborhood and needs a trim, we'll be sure to drop in on Ducky's. At their prices, they could easily be a 4-Star establishment if they served a decent cup of Joe while we wait. read more

It had been a long time since I had a haircut. Years actually. I decided to finally get a haircut and stopped in here. I told Weston how I wanted my hair cut and he proceeded to do the exact opposite of what I had told him to do. After less than a week I just buzzed it all off myself. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Bad customer service. Walked in with my child for an appointment (this place only takes reservations, no walk-ins) and wasn't even greeted once entered the shop (bad customer service). Yelp says "Accepts credit cards"...no they do not. Cash only...another disadvantage. Ended up just leaving and took my child to another barber that took cards and walk-ins. read more

Ducky's Barber Shop - Drinking a brew, while reading a book about brews, waiting for the crew. - Barbers Near Me - El Cajon, California

Got both my boys a haircut here. My 6 year old did awesome like always and his haircut exceeded my expectations! My three year old was a different story. Throwing a fit the whole time, I felt bad for the barber cutting his hair. But his hair cut still came out amazing. Better than if I would have went anywhere else. Will be coming back for sure. But will have to make sure the younger one is up for the cut because I know he could have done an even better job if he wasn't acting up. read more

After my first cut at Ducky's which was terribly done by John, I decided to change for a different person, Weston did even worse. Shitty cut, I could tell from the way he hold machine coz I been a barber before. Needs to learn more how to handle the machine. Still needs more work with black people hair fades!! read more

Found this place through Yelp, and decided to try it out because of the great reviews. It was a little hard to find, since it's tucked in a little strip mall. A couple circle around and we found it in the corner. Parking isn't too bad, since we found a spot right up front. Once you walk in, you will feel like you stepped into the past, which I found really cool. All the barbers wear white barber smocks, which again, really cool. And to make you feel really old school, they only accept cash. Our wait was about 20 minutes, with four barbers present. My son was up first. I requested a comb over with a fade. His barber was so good with him, and took his time to make sure that his cut was perfect. He would also walk over and ask me questions about the cut, just to be sure it was exactly what I asked for. A couple of minutes later, my husband was called up to get his beard trimmed. Now, my husband doesn't ever treat himself to "spa days", so doing this was a big deal for him. His barber laid him back and began doing his magic. (This was a first time I've ever seen this happen since I've known my husband, so I was a little nervous to how he'd react to this.) Once the towel was wrapped around his face, he looked super relaxed. After both boys were finished, I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing they both looked. The barbers were very professional and welcoming. The shop was clean and very makes you really feel like you're back in the old school barber shop days. I would highly recommend this place, even if you're not really into "spa days" like my husband :) read more

First time visit. Sent a message via IG to ask for a recommendation on who to set up an appointment with. Chill place, cool people, good cuts. Will be back. read more

I took my 5yr old in for an authentic barber cut and got myself whacked too. This is the first time we'd ever been here, let alone gone to a barber shop, and we were super happy with the cuts. Mike, Jesse and Jon were all really cool cats and made us look good. They were fast, yet took the time to pay close attention to detail. I definitely recommend Ducky's for any dudes out there looking for a quality cut. read more
