The gentleman did a phenomenal job, showcasing the pride he takes in what he does! I really enjoyed how the haircut didn't feel rushed as he took time to make it perfect while still being efficient and practicing good time management! I took my 2 year old son in to get his haircut. My son woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was having none of it. Scotty was so patient and understanding. He did everything humanly possible to try and get my son to cooperate. At the end of the day - as parents with 2 year olds know- they do what they want. Scotty was able to get most of it done and it turned out looking good all things considered. Scotty was wonderful and I cannot emphasize enough how patient he was with my toddler. I've been on the search to find a local barbershop in Santee that can give a crisp line up, and tapers. However IMO, it seems to me that they only know how to give military cuts. No real line ups and unfortunately I had a lot of dry/ dead skin build up afterwards. I won't be coming back but if you're looking for a simple non- expensive military cut then this is the spot for sure. Just not for me. BTW I was a walk in and they sat me pretty quickly. The owner berated and belittled one of his female barbers (who was cutting my hair) in front of me and the other patrons in the lobby. It was awkward and embarrassing for him. I was disgusted with his behavior. Hopefully he reflects on his actions and apologizes to her. It was shameful. I have been getting my haircut by that same female barber for 10 years (at a previous barber shop). She is professional, courteous, kind, skilled, and simply the best. She recently moved to this place. It was only the second time that I have been here. I will only go back as long as my regular barber is there. Scotty is an elite barber. His attention to detail is unmatched. I usually ask for an unusual fade with one side being cut all the way up to the part line. The other side is a high fade. I didn't have to explain much to him. He set a hard part line with a single blade razor and lined up the rest of edges around my face. He even touched up my facial hair to ensure everything evened out. I would highly recommend him to anyone. The shop just opened so I feel lucky finding this hidden gem. Five stars because you can get a great razor shave here with hot towels and a quick facial oil massage. But FYI you now need an appointment with Scotty to get that or you'll just get an electric razor shave. I wish he had told us that before he gave us his new assistant. Great! This barbershop is very clean and the clippers have vacuums so I left with no hair on my clothes or in my car afterwards. The barber clearly knows what he's doing. Usually I'm a bit hesitant asking for fades because some people only use 2 clippers and blend the hair very poorly. This wasn't the case here. The barber probably adjusted/swapped the guards 20 times to make the fade seamless and perfect. He took his time and didn't rush my cut, which I respect: Probs the best fade I've gotten.
