Went in there around 5:30. They close at six. When I walked in. They started speaking in their language and Looking at me, which almost 90% of the time means that they were upset that I came in so close to closing time. But they say they take the last person at 5:45. I should've trusted my gut and just left. when they sat me down the Barber that attended me was like "WHAT DO YOU WANT BRO"? With attitude . I told him what I wanted and he did not follow what I said. He messed up my hair and I just ended up, telling him to buzz it off. Had a very heavy hand when cutting he even cut me and started bleeding. This was also on my Birthday and the haircut was to go out and feel good and definitely did not feel that at all. I have been coming here for hair cuts along with my two sons for approximately 10 years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else and the one or two times I've tried during traveling, I ended up shaving my head because it wasn't up to the standards provided by my barber, Edward he is the man! a.k.a. Edward Scissorhands. Yes they have grown and they are busy at times like a good restaurant... they are busy for a good reason. If you don't like waiting around, I strongly suggest making up an appointment for the extra five dollars if your time is worth it... I started getting my cut by Kevin a few haircuts back. I never new what I was going to come out looking like with the guy who had been cutting my hair always a crap shoot. Think I'm on my 4th haircut from Kevin and if I don't want to use a product on my hair I don't need it my hair lays well with or without which has always been a problem with my hair. He listens to what I want and does it and does it well and is consistent. I use his waxing service but have not had a shave yet that's nextime. read more

I don't understand how a place that I raved about over 5 years ago could now be a one star in my book. We've obviously been coming here for a long time but for the past several hair cuts they've come home looking like absolute goof balls. I thought that maybe someone else had cut their hair or my husband wasn't telling them accurately what needed to be done. So I took them myself last week. When the same barber who cut my sons hair preciously came over he asked me if my 4 year old had cut his own hair!!!!! I'm like nope! You did. That should have been my clue to get up and walk out and find someone else. But no. The owner cut my older kids hair and another guy cut my other son's. Upon leaving the shop their hair looked decent I thought. But when they took a shower and let their hair dry it looked TERRIBLE. In the past people have made comments like "did you try cutting their hair on their own?" Not a good sign. And now this? And we have family pics tomorrow. I posted on FB in a couple local community groups to see if this is normal and the overwhelming response was absolutely not. I would not recommend going here if you want a legit good haircut without having to style it to look decent. Kevin has been my barber for over for about 23 years now. The first rule of finding a good barber is, once you've found them, don't change them. I've made this mistake many times before for convenience or whatever reason I decided to try another place; however, they never even come close to how well Kevin's barbershop quality is. It's a family owned business and you can expect consistency, which is extremely important when looking for a good place to choose to get a haircut. My hair style has changed throughout the years from when I was a teenager to now, and adult and Kevin has adapted throughout the process. Honestly, I can't think of anything better to say about him and his team, including Edward and the rest of the barbers that work there. This place was great for the longest time. The barbers and haircuts are great. The problem is they are too popular now and for whatever reason it has become a kid haven where parents bring in their kids 2-3 at a time taking up most or all of the chairs pushing wait times into the stratosphere. The clientele is rough, like people you'd see in a scary east country bar. If you want a nice men's cut and relaxed experience, it's no longer the place to go. read more

My husband and our 4 year old son both come here for their haircuts. They always do a great job here! They are nice and patient with our son and he always feels comfortable. The wait is never too long, we're always greeted when we walk in, pricing is good, and their hours of operation are generous. A couple of things to note: they offer a military discount, which is great, but it ONLY applies to the service member themselves. This is the first barbershop we've been to where the discount didn't extend to dependents, so just something to be aware of. Also, they do accept card payments, but there is a $1 fee added if you choose to use a card, so bring cash when you can. All in all, definitely our favorite barbershop here in San Diego! We wanted to get my almost 2yr old sons hair cut (only his second cut other than mom snipping here and there). We walked in on a Sunday with my husband, myself, our daughter and son. We were able to see Kevin, on his day off I believe, and he was great! We expected him to cry at first which he did, but he sat on dads lap, had a lollipop and 30 seconds in he was loving it. All was good! Kevin gave him THE cutest cut!! My son basically had a mullet before, and Kevin did a great job. He styled it perfectly at the end!
