Long overdue review. Joe took great care of my '09 Civic a couple months ago. Had transmission work done, AC vents, and brake pads. I did have to wait a couple days extra for parts, but Joe was upfront and the price was a great deal so I didn't mind the wait. 100% recommend read more

I took my Acura MDX to J's Garage Auto Repair to replace front lower control arms and struts. They gave me a quick quote that was substantially cheaper than the dealer's price, and they offered pickup and drop-off service. Joe, the owner was straightforward, honest, authentic and professional. Highly recommended. read more

Typical bait and switch shop. It's what you'd expect from any shady mechanic. Took my car in for a simple brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing. The business manager quoted me $135 to install my own brake pads, worst case another $80 for the rotors to be replaced if they couldn't be resurfaced. Two hours after dropping off the car I got a call from the owner claiming that the rotors couldn't be resurfaced and it would cost double what the manager quoted for the rotors. Afterward, I took the old rotors to the dealer and they were easily able to resurface them. So basically this guy squeezed an extra $170 out of me for no reason other than greed. Too bad...I've been looking for a decent honest mechanic. I'm sure you're very sorry Nicki. Try quoting the correct prices next time...or at least honor the prices you do quote. You wasted half my day and charged me significantly more than every other quote I received from other local shops...including the dealer. read more

Martin is friendly and didn't oversell me on additional services. He gave me a reasonable estimate on the front brake service and did a great job. Called to give me an update on the progress and had the car ready when promised. I'll definitely be going to J's for future car maintenance needs. read more

Great Service, Took my Jeep in because my car was making a clicking sound and they have the best prices. It was half of the cost than what the dealer quoted me. They have my business for life. 100% recommend taking your car there. read more

I received a prompt and reasonable estimate through the Yelp system and was able to bring my car in the next business day for new brake pads and resurfacing. No one was in the office when I arrived and no one who passed by seemed to want to speak or help. I had to approach a mechanic who was sitting in a car and was told to go 2 doors down as they're owned by the same people. I went to eat across the street and 50 minutes later, received a call stating that my rotors needed to be replaced (as opposed to resurfaced) and this would double the estimate I received. This wasn't in my budget so I ended up using the SNAP financing they offer. I wasn't told until my card was about to be charged that there is a $15 fee to use the financing. Not ideal but what else can you do when you need your car fixed? I ended up paying $185 out of pocket and will be making monthly payments. The financing terms are 'no interest' if fully paid within 90 days which I will be doing. This auto center is filled with other auto stores so it gets hectic and crowded. Cars double parked all over the place. Just something to know before you go. Overall, the customer service was friendly. read more

I wanted to come and leave a review and thank you to the owner J. My car had been stalling while driving for the past few months and the alternator needed to be replaced. I received several quotes, the highest was $700-1200 For a 2016 Nissan maxima. I know inflation is high but dam for a maxima? Well this place was the most reasonable, the owner was so cool and could have easily tried to take advantage because I am a woman. he checked to make sure it was my alternator before just taking my $$ and saying that's the reason. I am so big on honesty and good business. I brought my car in around 4:30pm and it was ready the next day. I will for sure come back the next time I have any mechanical issues. :) thank you guys read more

I took our 2007 Chevrolet truck for a quote for a motor mount, and the upper and lower arms of the front tires I had gone to three different places and had been quoted $2,600 Joe charged $1000 less and did the job in one day, best place, honest, fast and very friendly people, we just found our new mechanic for life. Very well recommended they will not take advantage of you. read more

J's Garage Auto Repair helped me the day immediately. They found the problem, a loose bolt, tightened it and had me drive it around to confirm the fix. It worked and there is no more noise. I was there for about 30 minutes and they didn't even charge me for the service. I just moved to town and I'm glad I found an auto mechanic because I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. read more

The staff is great but I took my car to them with new rotors and break pads in hopes to fix a rubbing noise that my car was randomly making. I ended up changing my break pads, rotors, front control joints and bearings. I took it back countless times as my car has a loud squeaky noise now, the rubbing noise went away but still comes back.I had to replace the rotor due too the mechanic leaving a metal bracket on there wrong. I just gave up on this issue and will be taking my car to a different mechanic shop to see what was done and give a report to the BAR. Disappointed read more

I brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland to J's Auto Repair Garage and I am thankful I did. I worked out my quotes with Nikki on yelp and met Joe at the office. Both of them were so helpful and I never felt any pressure. I know how to work on cars but I know my limits and with a recent injury I'm limited while I recover. The quote was very competitive and lower than other nearby mechanics. I came into the office with additional check engine codes and knew exactly what I needed. Joe was able to help me and was honest on what was wrong. I saved $ and the work was performed perfectly. My new struts and shocks make a huge difference. Smoother ride. New front and rear brake pads, and I brake nice and smooth. Tune up fixed the misfire from old spark plugs. I got all my work done in one day so Joe gave me a great discount on the additional work I needed done. Very personable and honest people here. I will be bringing my Dodge Challenger in soon for brakes and anything else I need. Great job team! read more

My car is older and has had some issues. I took it in for him to take a look at it and tell me what was wrong and then ended up bringing them back to do some work on it later when it was absolutely necessary.. Jay is reasonable, friendly, reliable, and an all-around, great guy and shop! Thanks again brother for taking care of me read more

I needed new brakes urgently, I sent a quote request at night and received a flat rate within minutes. I scheduled service for the next morning, the team at the shop was friendly and helpful. I picked up my car a few hours later since I ended up replacing all brakes and rotors, the car was ready and had easy checkout. I received images of my torn tire and was advised to replace immediately...I replaced it the next day. I ended up requesting to not perform an oil change due to expected additional parts needed but to my surprise they gave me a complimentary oil change. Glad I found a good local shop, the previous places had never even provided me with an actual inspection or heads up on anything. read more

Been going to Jay's garage for all my mechanic needs they to do a good job Never know disappointments

My girlfriend made me aware of this crappy work, service and overall experience from this shop. She's a longtime customer of this place. She will never return. Last service was replacing rear suspension. Car sags now and they won't return any calls. Employee lost lug nuts from one of the wheels. When asked about it. Blamed on a new employee and never replaced. Beware of this spot. Read all the one star ratings. You've been warned. Lost trunk clips after getting suspension done. Didnt properly get codes cleared & charged me 85.00 for it. I dont feel my ac is as cold as it should be after getting compressor replaced. The wife even said they'd buy/replace clips. Nothing... read more

These Guys were great! Customer service was excellent. The time It took to service my breaks was right on target to what they said. Cost was exactly what they quoted me.
