Juan and his team are just top notch. They are amazingly competent, highly responsive, and really pleasant to work with. They connected electrical wiring, fixtures, switches, breakers, and 240v outlets, for my new home from the ground up from A-Z without a single issue. I highly recommend them whether you are building a new home or having any electrical issues in your current home. read more

JR Electric is the best! I've called JR several times to troubleshoot and repair complex wiring and circuit problems, and every time the work was done correctly, safely, and to code. My jobs were outside, exterior lighting and GFCI circuits - but I have no doubt any job you give him will be done right, whether indoors or outside. Whether the job is small or one of those bigger projects that look overwhelming to a non-electrician, I recommend him without reservation. He also does something a lot of mobile or on-call electricians don't: he answers the phone! Excellent work, great attitude, friendly service and reasonable prices. He is my first and only call when I need electrical work done right! read more

Juan and his crew at JR Electric know what they're doing and they're going to give it to you straight. I've been their customer for years now and they've professionally handled several tough situations with my home. I did my homework on these guys. Juan will be upfront with cost including permitting or whatever you may need. No tricks or hidden fees. You can trust these guys. And I'm so grateful to know when I have a problem, they've got my back. read more

We had been waiting for 3 months(!) for our "other" electrician to come to make an assessment of why both of our bathrooms were suddenly out of electricity. We gave up on them and contacted Juan and his guys. They literally came THAT SAME DAY and not only assessed the situation, but actually fixed it also that same day! We have a 104 year old house and it took him a bit to figure out how the house was wired at first, but he somehow figured it out and fixed the problem. Then, he installed our new LED mirror/light which wasn't even part of the original deal! We love it and it looks great! He also quickly (and inexpensively) reconfigured our electricity in our garage after we installed a new tankless water heater! You ROCK Juan! read more

Had multiple guys come out and give estimates but Juan was the only one that came up with different ideas on the fly. His solution was sound and his price was more than fair. In addition to that, his team showed up on time with a great attitude and was able to run a pair of circuits upstairs in under two hours without interrupting my work (no power interruptions) and with a minimal footprint. I was really impressed with how well it was done and how it looked, so far, the new circuits have been working great! I have always had problems finding great help in this area (electrical work) but these are my power guys now, number saved, thanks again! read more

Good evening on 14 October 2020, JR Electric installed 5 Fans, rerouted the Dish and the internet cable, as well as a new doorbell installation. Price was reasonable, took half a day, with a smooth cleanup process. Thank you Juan, Mucho Gracias. V/r Dartri Clay read more

Bought a house which turned out to have some ungrounded outlets. JR Electric gave us some quick feedback, and were out the next day. At a bare minimum, I needed one outlet for my office grounded for my work. They were able to hook a ground wire through to the water heater in the garage, with no visible issues which I was very impressed with. In and out with no interruption to electricity. Also gave a reasonable quote for fixing up the rest of the house as well and what that might look like. read more

I called for a quote. Juan asked if he could come by today to review my scope of work. He was very professional and said my work would only take an hour to do. The price was so good my husband and I didn't have to think twice about going with him and his company. He was knowledgeable and extremely professional. Juan and his team are top notch. I chatted with him last night and his crew had it installed the next day at an affordable price.

This is a great company! From the very start, Juan was fast in giving me a quote. He listened to what I wanted, and offered great options in certain areas. It was easy to schedule an install time and date. He updated me on any changes in the schedule as well. The install team was very polite, extremely efficient, and left my home clean, except for the expected light dust. I had recessed lights with dimmers installed, as well as a fan. Juan even looked at a couple of other switches for me, during the install. They were also COVID safe. I love my new lights and fan!!! Great Job! read more

I reached out to JR Electric via Yelp messaging for a small job installing 2 electrical outlets. I was able to schedule the installation for the same day. Their team was punctual and performed the installation neatly and efficiently. The outlets work great and I am super pleased with their work! read more

The original quoted price was lower than others by at least $25 and they were able to come by right away. He showed up on time with a mask and shoe covering. He was able to install a motion sensor light fixture without a problem. The GFCI issue was a little more complex and he gave me two options on how to fix it. Ended up cutting holes in the wall to rewire the two outlets in our master bath so it wouldn't keep tripping the GFCI. It was a good option since it didn't take as much time, but the final price was triple the original quote. I would give 5 stars, but the guy kept on pulling down his mask, exposing his nose. It made me uncomfortable. read more

Juan and his crew were great. They did a fantastic job on my working job. They were very professional and quick. Gave me a better price than the other bids and got it done sooner than expected. They even installed a flood light for me since they had time. Highly recommend this business. read more

I have a duplex built in the 30's; although SDG&E provided new meters, the old wiring wasn't enough to handle modern amenities like AC, dishwasher, washer/dryer, an induction stovetop, and a 220V oven. Juan promptly provided a quote that was competitive with another company solicited here on Yelp. The final price was what he estimated - no changes; I appreciated that. Juan's crew arrived with masks and provided beefy electrical lines from the master shutoff to my circuit breaker boxes (under my house). They fixed years of sloppiness that accumulated over the years (in my circuit breaker boxes), and left it in code compliant condition. Juan also recommended adding 3 circuits for future additions to one of my units. The price was very fair. When I have the budget, I will already have the power right where I need it, without reopening walls. The crew swept up and left my property clean, with no trash or dust. I will most certainly call Juan for future projects. read more

We were so happy!!!! I asked for yelp referrals late on a Tuesday night and everything was handled by early Wednesday morning. The owner came out himself. He was the same person who I spoke to and I greatly appreciated this as he inspired confidence enough that I will call him again. He also brought someone with him so everything was handled quickly. They are vaccinated and came with face masks. More details: We had a circuit breaker that seemed stuck (couldn't be switched on or off) and affecting multiple outlets and rooms being without electricity. We also had a chandelier that is 2 stories high that no longer worked. They took care of everything quickly and with simple fixes: replacing the circuit breaker and replacing the switch for the chandelier. Highest recommendation. read more

All of a sudden, I lost power in 3 rooms without adding a new device to an outlet, and found out that one of the AFCI breakers in the main panel tripped. It kept tripping even without load. While suspecting a faulty AFCI breaker, I used Yelp to hire an electrician to do a correct diagnosis and fix it. Juan of JR Electric was the first to respond in the early morning with a quote. He was prompt in answering my questions and also offering a quick visit in the same morning. After I decided to move forward, he and Eric showed up, and identified not one but two AFCI breakers were faulty, which were replaced accordingly. They were friendly, easy to talk to, and informative with useful tips on circuit breakers. read more

Juan is terrific. Great communicator, fast at responding and his work is top notch. I had a simple job that other guys were overcomplicating and trying to upcharge me for. Juan came in and actually lowered his original estimate by half. He then proceeded to actually do work on a cabinet I needed removed to get the new 220 outlet installed. Did it without trying to charge me more or complain like other electricians had. He's my go to electrician from now on. Just nice to deal with a straight shooter he just gets the job done again. Not too many of them left. I highly recommend JR Electric. read more

JR Electric was referred to me by a friend. I'm so glad I gave them a call. Juan responded to the message I left for him in only a few minutes. Our new ceiling fan was delivered yesterday, and Juan and his partner came this morning and installed it and solved a problem we were having with one of our circuits. They worked very efficiently and were very pleasant and were in and out in one hour. We will certainly call JR Electric whenever we have future electrical needs and will not hesitate to recommend them. read more
