After our usual electrician retired, we had to branch out and find someone new. Raceway will definitely be our first call from now on! Raceway replaced our pendant light in our breakfast nook a few weeks ago. Start to finish, they were great. Easy to book. Showed up on time. Their electrician was very nice and efficient. We will definitely be using them for future projects. Highly recommend! read more

Disappointed. I've used this company in the past for some electrical projects and all was fine but I recently used them to install a ceiling fan that did not go well. Two months after the fan was installed (with little to no use) it started to fall through my ceiling. Now, I'll preface this by saying I understand things happen but the response from Mike was unacceptable. I had a different company come out and fix the fan because this of course happened on a weekend and they're not open on weekends. The other electrician informed me that only one thread bolt was installed on the fan box causing it to drop. One thread bolt is fine for lighting fixtures but not fans because of the torque. When I informed Mike of the situation he denied any responsibility and told me that it probably just came loose since it had been TWO months. Is a ceiling fan supposed to come loose after two months?! He then mentioned it looked like the box came loose and that's not his responsibility. Okay, but had your electrician informed me that I needed a new box or additional items, I would have gladly purchased them. I would think if you're installing anything, you would ensure all needed items are compliant and if not, you would notify the customer. Regardless of the fan breaking through my ceiling, the fact that there was zero accountability and zero remorse is enough for me to never use Raceway electric again. read more

We live in an old family home that is over 50 years old. So electrical issues are bound to happen from time to time. We were having some issues with some of our outdated electrical outlets. Raceway came out quickly and fixed it in a timely manner, and the price was also fair. We would not hesitate to use them again for electrical issues. read more

Quality, showed up on a moments notice to fix our power- half the house went black. Would recommend them! read more

I requested a home call based on Eddie's write-up thinking they would be perfect for my Craftsman North Park home now and in the future. I had an outage in my kitchen involving 3 outlets and 2 overhead lights. I had already checked the outlets, pressing the red and black buttons alternately, checked the trip box and tripped the switches, and had no luck. When the technician arrived, his first act was to try the red and black buttons, and everything came on. Of course I was shocked, thinking I had already done that. Come to find out my 87-year-old, arthritic fingers hadn't done their job. I thought for sure the business would do the right thing and at least offer to split the $185.00 home visit fee. No deal. They charged me full price. I was so shocked I forgot to ask for a senior discount. Needless to say I will never call them again for any electrical problem. Sincerely, Margaret Gordon. read more

Our experience with Raceway Electric was excellent. Not only did the technician show up on time, he was early. He proceeded to install the overhead lights and ceiling fan that we wanted to have done. He also found a live wire situation that we were not aware of being there. The technician secured the wiring saving us from a potential electrical fire happening without us knowing. He was very professional, and left the areas where he worked very clean. And everything worked perfectly. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work. The pricing of the work was also very reasonable. read more

They did do the work quickly, about 20 minutes. As requested , I sent photos the day before to make sure they had the proper replacement breaker. When the tech showed up, he did not have the correct breaker. We were told that he had two on his truck that would work. They did work but appear to be used, old or? They told me they were just dusty, see for yourself. I'm including a photo, they are the two smaller breakers. They charged me $165 for parts that appear used. The Company was not willing to make any adjustments. I emailed the owner and haven't received a response. I know they get good reviews but I just wasn't happy this time read more

I initially hired Raceway Electric to install a transfer switch for my generator, and the installation went smoothly with no issues. However, I made the mistake of not testing it right after the installation, so I wasn't familiar with how to use it when a power outage actually occurred. Recently, when SDGE shut off the power in Ramona, I pulled out my generator and flipped everything on, but there was no power. I was panicking, because the outage was scheduled for at least three days. I decided to call Raceway Electric, hoping they could help--even though it had been over six months since the installation. To my surprise, they sent Mike to check it out. Mike drove from La Mesa to Ramona. Mike discovered that the switch was set to 120V instead of 240V, which was the issue. I felt a little embarrassed, but I was so grateful he came out to help. Thanks to him, I had power during the outage, avoided spoiled food, and made it through the next few days comfortably. I highly recommend Raceway Electric for their exceptional customer service. Even months after completing the job, they went above and beyond to ensure everything worked as it should. Great companies like this truly take care of their customers long after the work is done. read more

Raceway Electric quickly replaced my 3-prong with 4-prong outlet and replaced another old outlet with a GFCI one. Sadly, I didn't know that the 4-prong outlet could be installed in multiple orientations and the electrician ended up installing it in the opposite direction from what I needed. I realized that probably one week after the installation and called them first thing in the morning. Mike arrived a couple of hours after I called and fixed the issue within minutes. read more

Very easy to work with - I was able to text them photos of the job and get an estimate fairly quickly. Accepted the estimate and booked our appointment, the electrician arrived on the early side of the stated window. We were have two ceiling fans installed (not replaced) so there was a little more work involved with boxes and such. Job was completed in just a few hours and I appreciate the fact that the electrician walked us through the new remotes and made sure everything was clean. The details matter and they didn't miss one. read more

Raceway Electric has my highest recommendation. Setting the appointment was friendly and easy - though they *do* book a week or two out. Sam the electrician arrived on time to install an external (weatherproof) power outlet and quickly completed the task - less than 45 minutes on-site. Their trucks are clean and well-stocked w/ parts and I couldn't be more delighted with the service. Raceway will be my first call the next time I need ANY electrical work done fast, well, and priced fairly! read more

Sam at Raceway was AMAZING! He identified the problem within 10 minutes and had the repair completed within an hour. Raceway's pricing was also great and they were able to come out within a couple of hours on the day I called them. Steer clear. Ripped me off of a $350 deposit to add a new service panel. Nothing was done and they drug it out for months. While I was waiting for the panel upgrade, I foolishly allowed them to do some work in the meantime that I paid for. Some of the work was shoddy but I still paid them even though they charge $120 per hour plus a 30% markup on any supplies they use. They later tried to charge me a 2nd time for the same shoddy work. Do yourself a favor and find another electrician. read more

Sam & Billie arrived promptly and took the time to go over the work order with me, I was grateful for that and it gave me an opportunity to make some changes. Thank you Raceway Electric for the stellar service. read more

Another awesome job completed by Raceway Electric! I originally called for service for an inoperable GFCI outlet and two light switches that stopped working. Can't say enough about Raceway. After getting a tankless water heater installed I needed to move an outlet. I call Raceway and set up an appointment. I highly recommend Raceway for any of your electrical needs. read more

We had Raceway do complete wiring and installation for three new 52-inch ceiling fans in our condo (with no existing wiring), a pretty big job. Quite a lot of work, especially running the new wiring to a plug in a room with high ceilings. It was a full day's work, and Mike (Dombo) and Billy did a great job. Such great work that we also had them run a dedicated circuit to our 3rd floor balcony for an outdoor electric grill. One hour or so, and it was done. They worked fast, left the areas spotless, and the prices were exactly as agreed. They did not do the replacement of the drywall "holes" for running wire, but recommended a guy that also did superb patching and painting, and were available the next day. I'll try to post a couple photos to better explaining what I'm talking about here. Two days start to finish, the fans look like they've always been here, and we can see no trace anywhere of the 50+ holes cut, patched and painted. Raceway has subsequently done work for several of our neighbors as well. Really great work, reasonably priced, and left everything spotless. We could not be happier with the work. Highly recommended! read more

My Realtor recommended Raceway Electric for an initial inspection before I purchased my home back in April 2014. On short notice, Eddie was able to come out and identify costs so I could negotiate price concessions before closing. After I bought they home, I ended up having them come back to do the updates to bring several items up to code. Since then I have had them come back to do work 3-4 times more this year - from adding electric in my garage so I could install my new garage door, to installing recessed lighting throughout my kitchen and living room. Eddie is extremely helpful in providing an easy to follow estimate and Mike does great work. I would definitely recommend Raceway. read more

Knowledgable, friendly, clean, and reasonable. I have no complaints. He found a lot of problems while fixing one issue I was having, and I didn't get gouged on the extra work. He took care of it all on the same call, in two hours, at an awesome hourly rate. I've called him to do some additional work and wouldn't think of having anyone else do it. read more

Just had Solar installed. Everything went so smooth. Mike one of the owners actually did the install. We also had our him install 3 lights in our garage and put two new electrical outlets in my kitchen for my confection oven. And we also had them upgrade our electrical panel. I am fussy and was so happy with them so I am sure they can please anyone. read more

Mike did a great job on our outlet installation. We will be contacting him in the future for any electrical needs.

I highly recommend Raceway! I called the top 5 reviewed electricians in my Santee neighborhood and only 1 called back. Raceway called back within 15 minutes of receiving my call. Eddie showed up later that afternoon to replace a faulty switch in the fusebox. Educated me on the process, asked for the go ahead, and he knocked it right out. Raceway Electric did a fantastic job with the electrical work on my house. My wife and I moved into a house that had a rat's nest for an electrical box, and they brought everything up to code and looks terrific. Me and the wife can sleep easy now. I'd totally recommend them to anyone needing quality electrical work that can be trusted. A+ read more

We have used Raceway for our solar panel installation and we are very happy. I've used raceway on two different homes and different projects. Both times the service was excellent, and the pricing was lower than other bids. Mike and Eddie stay very busy and have been in business for quite awhile, I swear I see their trucks everywhere around San Diego. I had a handful of projects that needed to get done but the electrician I had used in the past who had worked on getting our home and garage electrical system up to date stopped responding to calls and emails. I called Raceway and Mike came out really quickly, walked through each project with me and helped figure out where the last electrician had left off so we could finish the work. He also pointed out other things he noticed that weren't up to code so we could put that on our longer term list of fixes for our 1960's house. His bid was very fair and after I accepted it online, someone from the office called me the next day to schedule the work. The day of, two electricians showed up and divvied up the work so they could get it done in a few hours. They were great at communicating as they went about progress and any issues they encountered and did a nice job cleaning up after themselves. At the end of the day, I had the sub panel in my garage fixed, and exterior switch and outlet brought up to code, 4 exterior lights installed, a ceiling fan installed, and a broken GFCI outlet replaced for a very reasonable price. I was very happy with the work and especially the timely and consistent communication. Would gladly go back to Raceway when we're ready to do more electrical work on the house. read more

Raceway completed one-part of a two-part project. I paid them (cashier's check) for the first part of the project on the day they completed the first part. Shortly thereafter I became seriosly ill with an infection in both lungs. When I was well, approx 90 days later, they were "much too busy with big projects" to complete the second part of the work. This was a small project related to a dishwasher and hot water heater installation. The quality of their work was excellent. But they only completed one part of a two-part project. Very disappointed. I do not recommend their services. read more

Mike from Raceway Electric came out to install a new ceiling fan (replacing an old one), and to figure out what was wrong with our expensive ceiling fan. He was quick, knowledgeable, and charged fairly for his services. Like his father, he deserves excellent ratings! read more

I had three fans that needed to be looked at as they weren't working as they should, and my house was in escrow. Two fans, they fixed. One fan they ruined. The light would spontaneously turn on and off - this was the only thing wrong with it. He explained it was the coding in the remote, and the neighbor might have the same code, thus spontaneously turning it on and off. He said he could fix it. He adjusted the code, then took down the fan/light to work on it. Now, it the fan doesn't work at all, either by using the remote or the switch. The light only works with the switch. It is MUCH worse than before they came. To close escrow, I now need to get a new fan, and have another electrician come out (I don't dare have them come back). A job that should have cost about $550 is now at least $1,000. We called the owner to complain, he denied the fan worked before he came, even though he tested it. Bad integrity of this company, I am more than disappointed. read more
