Chicken fried steak- can't go wrong when it's smothered in gravy
Claire B.

Local favorite and now ours too! You must order the battered zucchini-yum! Waitress Angelica said they make everything fresh and you can definitely tell. Wait staff was all very friendly. Attentive and polite. It had a diner feel with a Marilyn Monroe wall. Get the chicken wings cuz it's probably the best chicken I've had in a while. We ordered: Chicken fried steak, rib eye, chicken salad, fish & chips & blackened salmon. Every single thing was delicious.

Saturday evening for dinner (they close early Sunday and Monday). Was craving a burger so ordered a California burger (bacon cheeseburger with avocado) with onion rings. We also got the grilled salmon dinner. Both were good, with the.onion rings being really good. Service is very friendly here.

Oh my God! Outstanding service and food. Prices are reasonable. I had the fish tacos and my better half had the chicken taco salad. Very very good! I normally only have breakfast here. Fist time having lunch much. Staff is very friendly and professional. Service is quick.

My daughter was on jury duty and had a long lunch. She tapped in a restaurant to Google. I had chosen one closer but so glad we ate at JP's Bisyro. Yummy! It's our new favorite in Martinez. I had the Chicken Cobb Salad. Perfection. She had the Eggs Benedict. Both excellent. Coffee and Tea both good. Our server, Patti was very attentive and friendly in spite of the crowd. Give her raise! Lots of menu items to chose from. Bathroom was clean and smelled nice. (Thank you) We will be back.

Went to JP's Bistro after the movies, which is in Martinez. It is a very nice place, that serve breakfast and lunch, also have a small dinner menu on days they close at 9pm. Had their breakfast, I got a hamburger patty with eggs and my gf got Canadian bacon with eggs. The Canadian bacon was nice thick and tasty. The service was excellent friendly, attentive, and food came out fast. It has booths and tables, the lighting not too bright. I want to try their other things on the menu like their prime rib and their lunch menu. If you're looking for another breakfast spot or even takeout in Martinez, JP's Bistro is a place to go.

Breakfast on point. Chicken fried steak was very good. Service still great. Servers are nice and quick. Coffee still weak.

Crispy fried chicken sandwich, side of fries

If you're looking for a good food spot to grab lunch with colleagues and friends, go to JP's Bistro. Cozy and casual, JP's Bistro offers a variety of items on their menu from egg scrambles to breakfast burritos to sandwiches. I went to JP's to grab lunch with a colleague while we were passing through the area for work. The lunch hour was warm and inviting. The restaurant was full of workers like us passing through to grab a bite to eat. At the tables, family and friends sat, catching up with each other over plates piled high with sandwiches and fries. The servers greeted us, and my colleague and I were quickly seated. We were served glasses of water. After looking over the menu, I ordered a crispy fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries. It wasn't long before the food came out, and did it look good! The sandwich sat on the left; a generous piece of fried chicken rested on a layer of sliced pickles and mayonnaise, all between two fluffy buns. The fries had been piled onto the right side of the plate. It was a boldly simple presentation. I picked up the sandwich and immediately put it back down. The chicken was still piping hot from the fryer, and the heat scalded my fingertips. I started on the fries instead. Warm and comforting, each fry was a couple of delightful bites of crispy goldenness and starchy potato. When the fried chicken sandwich had cooled just enough, I took a bite. Delicious! Fluffy bread, crispy batter and juicy chicken filled my mouth with a tender yet satisfying crunch. The pickles brought a bit of balance and tang with them, and the creamy mayonnaise and sweet buns rounded everything out. I would have stayed longer, but we ended up taking the rest of our lunches to go since we were short on time. I was glad for the to-go boxes. They were spacious enough for my lunch; I piled the rest of my lunch into a box with ease. My time at JP's was an enjoyable one. If I'm working in the area in the near future, JP's Bistro would surely be one of the places I'd recommend to my colleagues to grab lunch.

so i do not go to this place for the food, i go to hang out for breakfast with two friends, they eat bacon and eggs and hash browns and are happy,, i need a healthier diet and there is almost nothing on this menu i can eat. that is why i do not give it 5 starts because i like the people who run it. great. Fish and green vegetables - Halibut and bokchoy is okay,, white rice not but i ate some of it that is on me, but normally this is not available for breakfast but they did, so close?

Umm... Please go here and support this business!…read more Came here on a Monday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. I was seated right away and they came to take my order and make recommendations quickly. It wasn't long before you could smell the food coming to your table. The food was presented nicely and you can smell everything on your plate. The sweetness of the waffles and french toast, the flavoring from the chorizo. You eat with your nose here first! The food was fudging delicious! So good, and I am not a person to usually finish breakfast when I go out to eat! I ate everything and pretty much licked my plate clean! Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff was extremely nice on top of that!! They are amazing! So good and so delicious. Check them out if you are in the area! This is also a great place for families, they have coloring pages and crayons for the young ones!

We lucked out and found good parking, but I can see if it's busy downtown-parking will be challenging. Downtown Martinez sure has changed and looks good! We sat in a booth in the corner with a ripped leather bench, but I believe that is due to the many patrons this place has-great wear & tear. Seating & dining is adequate; a homey feel. The staff acknowledged us when we first got there. We went Thursday afternoon and while it was not packed, there were a lot of people in and out of the restaurant. There were also regulars there. The ambience was good! There were many options on the menu to choose from. Portions were good and hearty. Service was fast! The food was delicious and very filling! We ordered funnel cake fries to go! Couldn't pass that up! This is a wonderful brunch spot! We definitely will be back again!

When we went they were doing pop ups at Cafe at The Inn in Benicia. Excited to see where they end up in the future. That I know of Solano County doesn't have experiences like this. What they have is special and I wish them much success. From beginning to end everyone was amazing. They followed up multiple times to confirm the reservation. They were thorough about food allergies. I love the personal touch that you can choose to send them a photo to print out as a keepsake. They also gave each woman a long stemmed red rose. We got the margarita, chicken wings, silog, A5 Japanese ribeye Wagyu, the salad, and ice cream. It was soo much food! We even have enough leftovers for the next day. I'd say the 20 oz ribeye could probably serve close to 3 people. Wagyu is so rich it's like Elvish lembas bread from Lord of the Rings. One small bite is enough to sate a grown man. I'm glad the portions are so generous but had to pace myself. The Wagyu was melt in your mouth! It was cooked absolutely perfectly. Usually it comes with a chimichurri sauce but they substituted a different sauce (maybe a soy sauce based mixture) because someone in my party really dislikes cilantro. I would highly recommend getting an order of the salad. It's very refreshing and helps balance out the richness from the rest of the dishes. Or drink something with carbonation like sparkling water. Amanda checked in with us multiple times throughout the meal while also looking after their adorable daughter! You can really feel the heart and soul that they put into Chiquo & Eva. I will be recommending them to all my foodie friends. I looked up the price of Wagyu ribeye afterwards and it's a good deal for the size and quality of the cut! Thank you Chiquo & Eva for such a stellar night. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate a special occasion than with the Wagyu experience here.

What a sweet welcome gift! The location is very interesting, which located in a cottage looking Inn. Very charming garden and summer warm interior. Cozy but not crowded. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Our steaks were savory, rich, and deeply beefy, with a salty, caramelized crust on the outside and a juicy, tender, reddish-pink center. All the sides were equally delicious, each of the item has it's own unique flavor, make you just want to have more. Deeply appreciated this dinning experience. It's hard to find such high quality and unique restaurant that pay attention to the details and really care about customer's needs. Glad to find this local gem, we will visit often. And want special thanks the service team, they provided the professional and friendly services and made the evening full of joy. Thank you!
