Seems like a small job but since building is 50 years old, the new doors had to be cut down to size, fiddled with until closing just right and then painted. I cant say enough good things about this company in terms of excellence, friendliness and professionalism. I will never go anywhere else for home remodel jobs.

FIVE STAR rating to Jeff, Keith and the crew at Hawaii Home Remodel!…read more I contacted HHR at the end of December to receive an estimate. Instantly, I heard back from Keith to schedule a home visit. In the first week of January, Keith came by to do a look through. He was very kind and professional. Keith emailed my estimate within several days. Our bathroom remodel was scheduled to take 14 days, but it was completed within 9 days, which was good for our family considering we only have one bathroom. From initial contact throughout the project Jeff, HHR Supervisor, kept open communication with me every day. He kept me afloat on what they found, what needed to be done, what my options were. Jeff and his team were very detailed and the level of work they did was beyond superb. I'd like to send my all my aloha and much mahalo to Keith, Jeff and their Hawaii Home Remodel crew for their expertise and hard work over the past 9 days. You brought our outdated bathroom up to 2026. My COASTAL MODERN bathroom dreams have come true! P.S. so, when's our next project??!?! : ) HIGHLY RECOMMEND Liz Martin & Family

From our first contact, Kai was responsive, communicative, and transparent. He kept us informed throughout the renovation, from the initial estimate and planning process to selecting materials and appliances and completing the finishing touches. He was easy to reach, answered our questions promptly, and kept us updated on the project's progress. Even after we moved back in, he remained available to address a few minor adjustments that naturally come up after a major renovation, which we appreciated. The project was estimated to take about four months, and despite a few minor delays that were outside of anyone's control, it was completed within the expected timeframe. We did go slightly over the original quote, but that was due to the additional upgrades and changes we chose to make during the renovation. Ming, who manages the day-to-day work on-site, was excellent. He was organized, detail-oriented, and made sure the work was completed to a high standard. It was clear that he cared about the quality of the finished product and kept the project moving efficiently. Although there was occasionally a language barrier with the crew, it never created any issues. Everyone was professional, respectful, and courteous. They kept the work area as clean and organized as possible throughout the project, treated our home with care, and were mindful of following the association's rules and guidelines. A full home renovation can be stressful, but Kai, Ming, and the YG Construction team made the process much more manageable. While no renovation is completely without challenges, they were responsive whenever questions or issues came up and worked with us to find solutions. Overall, we are very pleased with our renovated home and would confidently recommend YG Construction to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy contractor. We appreciate the team's hard work and would certainly consider working with them again on future projects.

Our new home is roughly 500 sqft and we had a tight, 2-week moving window. We're so grateful to find Johnny, with ABC Handyman Hawaiʻi. He was punctual, meticulous, and we are so HAPPY with the results! I shopped around and received quotes from 6 different handyman, paint, and ceiling restoration companies and Johnny responded to me super quickly and ran through the end-to-end process of work to be done. My partner and I were sold by how detail-oriented he was in explaining the materials he would use and all the safety considerations we should pay attention to as new homeowners. Our goal was to get a high quality, skim coat ceiling that matched our walls and Johnny delivered. He ended up skimming 16 gallons of drywall compound onto our scraped off ceiling, he did the priming and painting, plus he did all the repairs on the wall and helped us reinstall lights and other ceiling fixtures. He also spotted that our kitchen cabinets were barely hanging on by a loose screw and made time in his schedule to secure those for us as well! We really enjoyed working with ABC Handyman, we wanted the best and we got the best. Mahalo Johnny!
