The pho was incredibly flavorful, the broth was rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care. You can tell it's been simmering for hours because every spoonful had so much depth. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. I also loved how fresh all the toppings were, especially the herbs and bean sprouts. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere felt clean, cozy, and welcoming. Whether you're coming in for a quick meal or to sit and relax, it's a great spot. Definitely one of the best pho places in KC I've tried. I'll be coming back for sure!

This is a truly traditional Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Kansas City. I stopped in for lunch and found exactly what I look for in authentic cuisine. The service was straightforward and no-frills, which didn't bother me in the least; I came for the food, not small talk. The menu and execution spoke for themselves. The dining room was packed, and most of the guests were Vietnamese--a strong indicator that the food stays true to its roots. We ordered generously, and every dish delivered. The handmade egg rolls were crisp and well-seasoned, the batter-dipped sweet potato and shrimp were fried to a perfect golden brown, and the spicy pho had depth, balance, and real character. The pork chop was cooked properly with great flavor, the fried rice was clean and well-executed, and the beef and mushroom hot pot was rich and comforting without being heavy. The restaurant was very clean, extremely busy, and clearly doing something right. If you're searching for authentic Vietnamese food and a genuine culinary experience, Pho Lan is absolutely worth your time.

The staff is always respectful and pleasant whenever I visit. I usually bring different friends here to check it out for the first time, and they always enjoy the food and ambiance. The prices are fair depending on what you order. I like trying something new each visit, but a must-try is definitely their Banh Mi - I've had the Special Combo and the Grilled Pork. Also, don't sleep on the Combo Croissant Sandwich! Everything is fresh, though I highly recommend eating there; if you take it home, the bread can get soggy. For drinks, their boba is great. My favorites are the Lychee Strawberry Fruit Tea and the Peach Green Tea. On my most recent visit, I tried the R1: Grilled Pork Chop & Broken Rice (Cơm tấm sườn bì chả). It was a huge portion with broken rice, pork chop, shredded pork skin, meatloaf, and fresh veggies, served with house fish sauce and a side soup. Very delicious! I also tried the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. It was more like a standard shrimp tempura; I was expecting shrimp wrapped in thin spring roll wrappers, so it was just 'okay' for me. One area for improvement is the cleanliness; the tables and bathroom could use more work and attention. Also, there were restock boxes in the front that were blocking the two big lounge seats. Overall, Paris Banh Mi is a solid place to eat and hang out, with good food for a decent price!

They are delicious, served in a fresh baked French Baggette, and flavorful! There are about 10 different ones, if you can't handle spicy let them know so you aren't surprised. For beverages, they have either bottled or specialty drinks. They sometimes have baked goods, but they usially sell out in the evening. Crab Rangoons, fries, calamari, and the Korean Corn Dogs ( i like to slice up and share ) are great ways to start. The Crepe Cakes are my favorites for dessert. If they had actual silverware and plates instead of plastic and disposable, it would be a five star experience!

We did enjoy the shrimp, spring rolls, but were slightly disappointed that the peanut sauce was very watery. The menu had a good variety, but most of the dishes involved pork, very few involved chicken. Tofu dishes were also an option. The chicken pad Thai was very tasty; rather than cooking the dish to a persons heat specification, they just provide extra chili powder on the plate if you wanted to make it spicier. The main reason for the low review would be the cleanliness of the restaurant. On the table were a variety of spices and sauces in various containers, but they didn't look like they had been cleaned or changed in several uses, so we did not use or investigate to know exactly what things were.

Our top go tos included: * Pho * Lao Pho * Bánh Mì * Thum (Lao style) * Kao Piek * Lao Sausage Every single dish was a hit--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. I'm already excited to come back and try even more from the menu. This is the kind of place you tell your friends about. Highly recommend. Side note - Me and my family have eaten here over two handful of times and I've never had any issues with seeing any bugs rodents or odor... So it surprises me that these other people leaving these reviews have had these types of encounters... Because I would never eat an establishment like that. I trust pho Vietnam and that's why I eat here.
