Had the spicy dumplings, pork and shrimp dumplings, and spring rolls. Spicy dumplings had pork inside which wasn't as tasty as the shrimp and pork. We used the spicy sauce on both. The spring rolls were nice and crispy on the outside, but mishy inside. Brought home mappo tofu, which was excellent. Didn't miss that it didn't have pork in it. read more

Amazing food! We ordered the pork and chive dumplings, xia long bao (soup dumplings), beef roll, and char su bun. Both type if dumplings were super juicy. All of it was delicious. I also got the orange soda which was the best orange soda I have ever had, which I am now on the lookout to buy for home. Definitely coming back! read more

I showed up at 8:30PM walked to the counter, looked at plastic menu that takes a while to look at since it's very long on both sides. Woman asked if I was ready said no she comes back and says will I be taking out? Said no eating here. She said we close soon kitchen is closed at 8:30. They say they're servicing until 9PM She gave me attitude. Told her you're open until 9PM and she looked at me with a dirty look and did not answer me. Kept saying sorry!! Really? My husband and I had a very bad experience today at lunch . As always , good food so it wasn't our first , like many times I've been here . But sadly it'll be our last today . After we ate and paid the bill the server said "I didn't charge you for tips". It said on the bill tip suggestion and not an obligation. We ate at a lot of different places and I've never heard such a thing . And she said it loud for like 3x people near our table and were looking - I felt so embarrassed. Then she added "Americans give tips" she said . I'm Filipino and my husband is Mexican but we're American citizens. Once upon a Wednesday after work, I happened to pass by and noticed Joyee was finally open after so long of being under construction. Upon arrival, the entire floor was full and the staff was running around with clear attentive service. I was greeted immediately and had my order (to-go) taken promptly by a kind man working the register. As soon as I sat down to admire the beautiful setup, tableware, decorations, etc. one of the servers approached me and handed me a cup of water without my asking. That goes without saying, the service was amazing. I ordered the pork and chives dumplings which were flavorful, perfectly soft, and pretty juicy. Those are now my favorite item on the menu. Next I tried the Char Siu Bao. While the sauce is a tad bit too sweet for my personal liking, the meat was cooked very well while remaining juicy too. The portions are large and really good for its pricing. I came back on another occasion with friends when we saw one of the kind servers RUN after a customer that left their shopping bag behind. And when I say "run" I mean she booked it across the parking lot top speed trying to give him his bag back. (I'm telling you...the service is immaculate). I forgot to take a picture of the dumpling because they were devoured the moment it was put in my table. But let me tell you the deliciousness they were. We got the Pork Fried dumpling and it was perfectly made. Nice and soft but a layer of crunchiness on the top. Service was fast. We got there and sat at a table, but I saw others were put in the waiting list due to the store being packed. We got our food in about 10 minutes and they were very open about letting us go next door and get some boba tea from the store next door. The pineapple pork was amazing in itself as well, very sweet though so if you're not a sweet person I would avoid this. The Duck was absolutely delicious! Very crunchy on the skin but tender inside, beware that there is a lot of small bones in the way the duck is prepared so you will be spitting the bones out after every bite. So if you're a quick eater I would avoid the duck but I think it was worth the hassle. We did not enjoy the walnuts bun, just wasn't good to us but we have friends that love it so I believe it's just preference. But I 100% believe everyone should try the Pork Fried dumpling. I'm very excited to see a dim sum place open in Vista. Atmosphere was cute, fun neon signs. They have a couple big round tables that seat 8 and then smaller four seaters inside(a few patio tables too). Food was delicious. I will return just for the chili oil wontons. Not super spicy, just right. Shumai was tasty, big pieces of shrimp. Fried pork buns were so light, dough was thin and crispy, pork juicy. Xiaolongbao had great flavor broth (a bit salty) and served with pickled ginger thank you! My only critique would be thinner dumpling skins for xiaolongbao but there's another Vista spot that has that on lock and doesn't have other dim sum items so I'd highly recommend coming to Joyce's for the dim sum items. Service was friendly and attentive. I'll be back to try beef roll and some noodles dishes. Edit 6/7/2033: We ordered online and pickup order on a weeknight. It was very busy but we tried scallion pancake and walnut shrimp: both delicious! read more

We ate here on 12/15/23 and got FOOD POISONING! We ordered 2 different plates, the spicy boiled fish and the beef brisket (without jalapeños). We did not share our meals and we both got sick. I was very excited to hear this new restaurant open. I finally had a chance to check it out. It was a Thursday evening. The restaurant was pretty busy. The waitress was very attentive. Their servings are family style so come with a group. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles. These were ok not bad or spectacular. The broth flavor of Xiao Long Bao wasn't good to me. The server was so friendly -- I wish I asked him what his name was, but he said he works there 2x a week. The other server was also kind. She even lowered the shades when I mentioned that it was a bit too bright during lunch. I ordered 3 dishes: green bean with garlic, pork and shrimp dumpling, and beef and egg with tomato. All of them were delicious, and even seemed to increase in tastiness the day after. What I liked most is that the food wasn't greasy, as Chinese meals can sometimes be. The portions are large, so I ate the food for 6 meals. I am already planning on ordering from this restaurant for Thanksgiving or Christmas because they are open year-round. read more
