This location feels hidden in the sea of strip malls that makes up the immediate area. I suppose if you are local the maze of storefronts probably feel pretty standard. I walked over while my car was getting new tires. Typically, I get designs but today I just wanted a flat color and to get out of there as quickly as possible. I also broke my middle fingernail and needed that repaired. The lady who helped me did a good job. Pricing is reasonable. I will probably never be back here because I live nowhere close to this location. My final thought would be come here for solid service. I have a decent set of nails that have lasted the first week and still look flawless. read more

Staff don't like to fix their mistakes. When you return they will make you wait an hour before fixing a chipped nail from 3 days ago.

Under new management. Best service in town. Good at pedicures with hot stones and hot towel . read more

Jessica the best nail expert. So gentle and thorough. Won't go to anyone else. Because she knows exactly what to do

I had the worse experience at this location. I went in for a manicure, and The guy who did my nails did not only damage my nails but filled them short when I didn't ask him too. I had very long natural nails. Not even a week later my nails started breaking and they were also hurting. I was bummed out because it took me almost 4 months to get them to a healthy and long stage to have someone careless mess them up. I had to unfortunately cut them so they could grow again. Please don't come to this location. They're better Nail Salons around Melrose Park. read more

I had to come in to get some nails fixed that I had done here. Three nails on my right hand broke off doing regular things, so I was going to get them filed down as well as repaired. I was told to have a seat and they would be right with me. After waiting an hour, I was told it was going to be another 40 minutes. I understand that Saturdays are busy. But don't lie to me and have me sit there for an hour. Bad manicure. Bad customer service. Total waste of a Saturday morning. read more

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt I waited over 20 mins for them to do my nails after I was done with my toes . Then I came in a week later to fix my nail because it broke and they kept saying to come back another day then the next day . Just to fix one nail which is my Normal nail all thst had to be added to this was a line for a French tip no chip. read more

I had a feeling as to why the salon was so empty on a Saturday. They're awful. I had my first acrylic set for the first time after not being there for a year. My left pinky, ring, and middle finger are all crooked. The person who use to be the best became absolutely lazy. Like there's no way... I don't notice until it was done. With the amount of consumers I've seen here recently, I hope they learn to step their game up or go out of business. No in between. Bye. Do better. read more

Great service and fair prices. Also on time with appointments. Will be regular customer.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, however i'd like to leave this review for everyone to BE AWARE. because of the convenient location, I stopped in this shop to get a quick nail color change & shape change. Most shops this would be $5-7. however, here I needed up paying $25. The staff does not follow the prices on their menu, but over charges and adds on random rules to your service so that you will in fact end up paying 2-3x the listed price. Horrible customer service, and the nail tech did not even do a good paint job. Will definitely not be returning here, and there's far better shops to go for price and better service. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is not my usual spot to get my nails done , but was in a time crunch and they were one of the only salons open , I got a fill in and 2 nails fixed w/ no chip and coffin tip , about 10-20 minutes after leaving I broke a nail so I decided to come back and fix it , and it was nice of them to fix for free, but when leaving JENNY says "DONT COME BACK IF IT BREAK AGAIN " ????? Really what kind of customer service is that, they are very rude people , Iv been once before and stopped going for the same reason. This second time was my LAST time. I go to NAIL PARADISE also in Melrose park , they treat u with respect and don't talk about u in there own language not do they tell me not to come back. read more

My acrylic thumb nail is bumpy and chipped within 3 days of service. Not my usual place and I won't be back. Also stated they are open on Sunday from 11-4, went to have my nail fixed and was informed they are always closed...I'm won't be back read more

I stumbled upon this place one day on my way home from work. I walked in without an appointment for a no-chip manicure and sat down immediately. My nail tech was friendly and very careful while trimming my cuticles. She was generous with the polish and applied three coats. The end result wasn't super neat but it lasted a little bit over 2 weeks, which is good in my book. The cost for a no-chip manicure is $30 (kind of in the middle of the road). If you're in a pinch and don't have a place to get your nails done, you should give Joy Nails a try. read more

I went in and asked for gel nails they said ok they didn't give me what I wanted in terms of shape and they lied about it being gel when I went to my regular place for a fill in it was just acrylic so I don't recommend them and they gave me an attitude when I didn't choose no chip polish read more

Initially I loved how Tony took extra care while given me a no chip manicure. Tony kept telling me you have strong nails. Upon leaving the shop I noticed my once hard nails were soft and flimsy. Tony over soaked my nails in Acetone to remove the existing polish and one by one each nail bent in the middle and broke off. My worst regret is giving Tony a bigger tip than I should've. In the picture this is the 1 week result of a no chip manicure. They've lost my business again. read more

I went there about 3 weeks ago to get a mani and pedi and had the worst manicure in my life. The pedicure was not bad but the polish only lasted about a week on my toes. The polish usually last up until I get another pedicure at my usual salon. Back to the manicure. The nail tech had a difficult time removing my cuticle and she did not know how to properly shape my nails. Every other tech was busy otherwise I would have requested another nail tech. I tried to explain to her that she had left a lot of cuticle on my nails but she did not understand. I left there and headed straight to my salon for a proper manicure. I could not believe how much cuticle they removed. You would have never thought that I had just had one done about 20 mins earlier. If you choose to go to Joy Nails stay away form the older lady with reddish hair. I have no idea why she works there because she obviously does not know what she is doing. read more

I decided to get a pedicure on a whim. I had no appointment but they take walk-ins. I had less than a five minute wait. My pedicure person did not speak strong English but she was very nice and did a great job on my nails. As part of the standard pedicure, I received a hot stone leg massage. I would definitely go back. Great value, good pedi. read more

I've been here before but this is the first time I had a bad experience. Upon entering I was going to get an overlay on my nails but since they weren't all even I decided to just get a full set so during this time the ladies I know I'll do this no that's not what I asked for okay fine maybe there was miscommunication because of language barriers. Butt shortly after she started talking to another co-worker in her language about my change so I don't speak it fluently understand it fluently you know specially when they're saying certain words in English. But she didn't rush job on my nails they're decent but not what I expected they're fat and bulky I could have done a better job myself. I just choose to pay to get them done because it's less time consuming. Fedora move to this area I'll go back to my old neighborhood to get my nails done from now on. read more

Joy Nails - See not a great job now I will have to refine them....!!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Melrose Park, Illinois

Did a little shopping with my fiance. So I really wanted to treat my fiance to a pedicure and I manicure, Stopped in Joy nails I will never go back to this place. The tech didn't even greet us , I had to be the one to say hello. He rushed through the whole process. I needed to ask her to slow down twice because she was ripping at my cuticles A little blood gushing out my middle finger. The lady at the audacity ask me if I wanted Polish on my nails I'm a man I guess she was trying to up charge me. It started off at $12 for medicare but It went up to 20 bucks I don't know what she was saying but she kept charging me so I asked her how much was the pedicure, medicare she told me $50. But I see a sign on the wall that says $12 for a manicure so I asked her again she told me $20 for me and $25 for my fiance. Well I think I'm pretty good in math when it comes to money so $20and$25 doesn't add up to 50 bucks. So what I'm trying to say you can't trust this shop so why go read more

Joy Nails - Worst trouble my nails iterally in pain - Nail Salons Near Me - Melrose Park, Illinois

Surprisingly today I received a notification that me receipt gone up from $50 that I know to $60 due to adjustment they made without my knowledge. I called today and the staff told me that they added $10 after I left because I had a massage! I didn't even ask for massage, I said that I would like to have a Foot Spa pedicure which is $25 on their menu. The massage was quick like not even 10 or 5 minutes! I actually had a great experience and I thought that I have a new place to go, which is very near to my place. But after these unfortunate customer service? There's no way I am coming back read more

I was happy with this salon until last week when they gave me a fungus on my fingernails. I was wondering why my fingers were burning when she took off my no chip nail polish never had that happen before. Then 2 days after my skin on my fingernails began to crack and peel. Now they hurt bad very unhappy because I work hard for my money then to give it to them and then get a fungus. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. But Ive been coming here for years. I came on a Sunday and they were kinda crowded. I waited a hour and a half because its typically worth the wait. The man was very nice and engaged in conversation. Plus he did my nails before so I felt comfortable. I paid $40 and tipped $5 for the good service (which I now regret). The next day my nails looked horrible rhinestone all gone and nails bumpy. I didn't get mad because there was a lot of people. So I went back the next day and the man who did them orginally wasnt there. There was 3 other people besides me in the shop. So the manager Jennie came to "fix" them. She had a bad attitude, I asked her respectfully to fix them by filing them down to make a smooth surface to paint. She refused to do it since she didnt do it prior and said it was my fault. Which I do admit but I didnt plan on being there for nearly 2 hours for a fill in and had plans. I got mad and said aren't you the manager you should be apologizing and training your employees. She said she wasnt going to do it anymore turned off the light and walked to the back to watch TV. I'm 15 I had to call my dad to talk to her. As soon as he came she started doing what I asked her in the first place. After he left they were talking about the situation using English words to let me know they were talking about me. Because I was the only person getting my nails fixed. 10 minutes after I got home rhinestones begun falling off. Dont waste your time or money. I WILL NEVER INVEST ME MONEY WHERE THEY DISRESPECT YOU AGAIN. Am I in the wrong? And have anyone else experienced this after coming here for years consistantly? read more

If I could, I would give these people negative stars. They sat here and charged me $80 to get two full sets of gel nails, and they didn't use actual gel. They used acrylic. Their price is for $30 for gel nails. Like, really? How does it turn up to $80? Then, my friend and I go back for a fill in yesterday, and they charge 15 for a fill in. It ended up being $35 for me, and my friend went for a color change.. it's marketed as $7, they sit there and charge her $15. Then they file her nails down too thin, and they break the same day. Today, and I got gel, non chip, and they chip today. Then they kick me and my friend out of the store. In short, go there if you want to be ripped off. read more

This is the worst place! I came in with a coupon hoping to get exactly what the coupon said (free French tip with full set )and all the bitch did was put white tips on my fuckin fingers! Last time I came here was about 4 years ago for senior year prom. Obviously it was a very important occassion & I had always recieved good service. This time, I got acrylic french tip and I left feeling angry & miserable!! It was the WORST nail experience I've had in my entire life!!! You could totally see my real nail through the acrylics. I asked the lady why & she said "that's the way it's supposed to be." On top of having the worst, most horrid looking nails, she still charged me the normal amount, no discount, no nothing! Did I mention they had a nasty fish tank with black waters? Very dirty salon. Who knows, maybe they've changed their ways...but I NEVER CAME BACK! NEVER WILL! I now go to #1 Nails instead in Melrose Park on North Ave right next to Walgreens. Very clean, newly re-modeled salon, with good & friendly service. They have amazing foot scrubs & masks for pedicures! read more

Benjamin is awesome! He always do a great job on my nails. The staff here is nice. I highly recommend coming here.

The people here are wonderful I'm glad I came, they did beautifully with my nails, and the pedicure was amazing.

So I need to start off by saying that Joy Nails used to be my go-to nail salon.....until last week. I got a no chip done on Tuesday, and it was chipped and peeling by Saturday. Usually my no-chips last at least 10 days, this one hardly lasted FOUR. A $30 no chip manicure should not only last 4 days. I do agree that they give great pedicures here, but I will NOT be coming back in for a no-chip. Don't waste your money. read more
