Excellent service, very professional, terrific follow-up! Jose's Tree Service took down an enormous Sumac that had grown wild & threatened home's foundation. Not only did Jose's Tree Service expertly remove the huge weed but the company also pulverized they roots below the surface, making sure no more sumacs would return & allowing for new trees to be planted. I highly recommend Jose's Tree Service for your tree removal needs in Chicago!! read more

Love it, came on time, took the stump and left everything clean. I would highly recommend him. He took the time to come to the south side.

I had a tree with a branch that broke off and was hanging precariously. I decided just to get rid of the whole tree. In my quest for a tree removal service I went online and came across Jose's Tree Service. Jose showed up with a chipper truck and a work crew of four. They had my two trees down in about three hours. The trees were tangled in the electrical, telephone and cable service for three buildings. But Jose's crew are experts and cut the tree branch by branch. Hence no power, internet or cable outages for me or my neighbors. Good thing because it was Saturday - prime college football viewing time. They swept and cleaned the loose twigs from the neighbor's property. Jose is rather soft spoken. He will pick up a saw or broom and help his guys. Finally, all this great service at a reasonable price. So if you need tree cutting, removal or trimming, Jose is your man. read more

Jose's Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me

Exemplary service. Jose and his team did a superb job. I invited them twice: once to trim a tree and remove branches and a second time to remove a tree and stump. They showed up exactly on time. Had excellent equipment. Did the work beautifully and thoroughly. Plus, all team members seemed to be having fun. Fantastic! read more

These guys are great. The job was a little tricky because of the power and cable lines near the branch they removed but they did a great job taking it down. Very fast and very friendly. I highly recommend them. read more

Reached out to Jose twice for tree service and he never got back to me to schedule or provide an estimate.

We used Jose's Tree Service for some trimming in front of our condo. Jose replied quickly to my request for an estimate. He came out promptly to the property and was able to do the job in less than one week. Very satisfied with the service. Another company also came out before Jose and gave me an estimate. But they never followed up, even after two phone calls. Jose, on the other hand, is dependable and did the job for less than the first company's bid. read more

Contacted and was able to get a quote 24 hours later. Removed 4 small stumps in under an hour. Great price, excellent service - they even noticed an extra stump that needed removal on their way out. read more

Good communication and fast delivery of firewood.

I messaged multiple tree surgeons in the area with a weird request. I wanted tree stumps for my 3 and 5 year old to be able to hammer nails into. Four people didn't even respond, one person responded to say they didn't provide this service. Jose's son Israel was the only one who not only responded back with a message, but also called. He was kind enough to send pictures of what he had, and then offered to drop them off at my house. SO WONDERFUL!! It would have been so difficult for me to find them and bring them to my house otherwise, I AM SO GRATEFUL. I will also for sure be working with them in the future for any tree removal needs. Thank you Israel! read more

A typical Chicago storm uprooted an Evergreen Tree that was leaning on my house. I called Jose's tree service at 9pm on the night of the storm and they were at my house at 6am the next morning. By 10am Jose's team had removed the tree, stump, and cleaned all the debris away from my home. For an emergency service their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend Jose's Tree Service! read more

I used Jose's tree service recently to remove a large lilac bush and two other trees. They were truly outstanding and professional and called to say there were a couple other things that I might want to consider. Pricing was very reasonable and exactly the quote I was given. Jose even came to my house to pick up the check instead of me taking time off work. I have no hesitation in recommending them highly. read more

This company had the hardest working crew... when I called for an appointment, they came through in a day... top rate service... they arrived with professional machinery and tools and fast as lighting... they concentrate on trees and have worked in this industry for over 20 years, so when I asked Israel my 50 questions... he didn't hesitate.. endless knowledge!! Great choice! My neighbors watched the many trees and large stumps disappear so quickly that a few jumped on board!! Thank you for everything!! read more

If you're in need of tree service Jose's Tree Service comes highly recommended! First of all the tree that needed to be trimmed was not on my property but since the branches crossed my property line the city of Chicago said it was my responsibility. The city trimmed part of this tree that was in the way of the demolition of an abandoned building. I found Jose's Tree Service on Yelp and they were very professional and reasonable. They came out and gave us a quote quickly. When we set up a date they arrived on time and cleaned the area after trimming the tree. The tree's base was in a vacant lot so I wasn't concerned about the cleanup but they did an excellent job! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. read more

Jose and his crew just finished up at our house and we couldn't be more pleased with their work. From the first call for an estimate to scheduling the tree removal, Jose provided great service and follow up. I really appreciate the care of his team during the tree removal process with regard to my neighbor's fence and property, as well as the clean up. And, his price was very reasonable! Highly recommend Jose! read more

If you are looking for a professional/reliable/affordable tree service look no further! You must go with Jose's Tree Service! I received my quote the same day I called and we set up our appointment. (This was our third and best quote) Jose called me to tell me an appointment opened for Tuesday (3 days before our scheduled appointment!) They were very professional and very neat. I'm extremely happy with the price and service they provided! read more

Fair price. Job well done. Made sure we were satisfied before he left the job site. I plan to utilize his services again.

Very friendly and professional tree trimming for my honey locust tree in Oak Park. Thanks for a job well done.

Poor follow up- kept changing appointment time. Very disappointed given the other reviews. Ultimately I went with another company.

First communication with this company was 2 weeks ago via email. They asked for my address so they can drive my and view the tree in question. I didn't get a response back from them. Earlier this week I called and spoke to a receptionist and she told me some one will call me back. No one has reached out to me. I understand summer time is busy but a call goes a long way. read more

Excellent work! Would highly recommend and use again if we ever need a tree removed. They did everything they said they were going to do at the price they quoted. Produced a written quote and sent it over email. Easy to work with when onsite. read more

I was excited to read all of the great reviews & Jose was my first call for our tree removal needs. However I left a message for Jose on his voicemail 4 days ago, then with what sounded like his daughter 2 days ago. I have yet to hear back. After two failed attempts to reach them I guess I'll have to move on. Our dead tree needs to go ASAP. read more

Went onto Yelp to find a company to remove four giant trees in my backyard. Three were dead and the fourth dying(yes, on a chicago lot backyard). I put it off for years because of quotes I had received that were quite high. I call Jose', left a message and received a call back promptly. Jose' came out within the hour and checked out my trees. He gave me a quote on-the-spot both trees only and with the stumps removed. His quote floored me. Is was close to 1/2 what others have quoted. He assured me that his company was insured and we made plans for the upcoming Saturday. They arrived on time and in force. Around nine workers, a cherry picker, stump remover and two truck to haul the trees away. Jose' had his insurance agent email a copy of his certificate to me. They worked very hard and fast. A well run team. In the end my trees were gone, neighbors happy, me happy, yard clean, and all in about 8 hours. I fully recommend Jose's Tree Service! read more

Called this company many times and left several messages. They must not need the business because, nobody ever called me back. Very unprofessional to not acknowledge potential customers. read more

If you need your trees trimmed..Do not bother to call anyone else!! These guys removed a very big very dangerously positioned tree that had grown within and over a utility pole with massive groups of wires in all directions! The job was completed without disturbing our koi pond situated directly below... (we had it well covered) but they were extremely professional and mindful. They let us choose a few branches of our beautiful tree to save and removed the rest. These guys have all the know how and large equipment for the tricky jobs! AND the price is reasonable on top of that! read more

Jose's Tree Service did a great job! They came out fast, gave me an on the spot quote and scheduled it. They took down a giant tree in our yard in 1 day and left it better than it was before. They had to remove part of the fence and move things in the yard out of the way. They brought the right equipment and enough workers to get it done fast. I was so impressed by the workers too, they were really nice and very respectful of our property. We had a tough alley to maneuver and they had no problem doing it. I would highly recommend them for any of your tree needs. read more

Excellent service. Called for quote and heard back same day. Came by next day with a quote and next day did the work. Guys are very neat, and wanted my input in what to trim. Clearly knew what they were doing and very friendly. Price extremely reasonable Will definitely call again if need tree service. I recommend them read more

This team came out to our house and just over an hour removed a dead sugar maple tree from the backyard and left the area clean and tree-free. Courteous hard-working people. Great job! read more

I called Saturday afternoon to order firewood for a gathering. I wanted to shop local and this place has good reviews. After a call, I texted my address to a woman. Was told that they were available and Jose would contact me to drop off for $90. I needed wood for an event and I was so glad that they answered, promised to deliver, and promised same day service! I drove past the gas station with overpriced wood bundles. I went about my day. I went out and did errands. The day goes by and no one called me. I left messages on the phone number and no one responded. I also texted the lady to ask if it was happening so I could go out and buy wood if it wasn't happening. She never responded.I called last at 8pm but still still absolutely no communication. They didn't even blow me off and say "oh we're busy, so sorry" or anything. I don't understand how businesses work this way if they don't value their customers and their word. I wish they would have been honest with me and fulfilled their promise. read more

Very responsive and did great job taking tree down that was quite close to house. Ground stump down to good depth

It took 75 years to grow and only 5 hours to be taken down (stump removed too) by Jose and his crew. Highly recommended for quality of work and price. Jose provided an estimate quickly and work was done about 10 days later. It's a family business and they take pride in their work. read more

Great work! A big tree in the middle of the back yard, near a power line and lots of cables. Jose's son (also Jose) gave me an estimate for 65% of the average of the other estimates I'd received, and showed up right on time two days later with ten guys, a crane, a bucket truck, a wood chipper, and a bunch of chain saws. They finished the job about 4 hours later, cleaned everything up and charged exactly what they said they would. I couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and competence. read more

Jose's Tree Service never showed up or scheduled a visit for an estimate.

Came out same day, removed tree and hauled it away in less than an hour. Great service.

These guys are great! I talked to Jose yesterday, they had a cancelation, less than 24 Hours later my tree is gone. The stump was in a tricky spot, so they removed the piece of fence and didn't damage the sidewalk that it was growing under. Price was good. All the guys where professional. They cleaned up everything. Except for the tree being gone you wouldn't even know they had been there. Much better than the mess The Electric Company leaves when they have just trimmed it in the past. read more

Jose's Tree Service was here yesterday and couldn't have done a better job. Their price was fair. The arrived on time. The crew was friendly. Their professionalism could not be beat. They removed an old dead tree hoisting 6 huge branches over a tall fence along with electric and phone wires... They deftly avoided damage to a tree swing in a tree near bye, and a play platform at the base of the tree they removed. They also combed the yard culling dead branches in high trees they scaled easily and quickly. They put down plywood under their truck tires, because I was afraid the weight would damage the lawn after all the rain we have had lately. All was cleaned up immediately and precisely. They left my property looking neater than when they arrived. I can not recommend them enough. Wish I could give them 10 stars. read more

Excellent service all around. Jose came out to look at two spruce trees I wanted removed and he was able to give an estimate for a reasonable price. The Crew took about 2 hours to remove two trees and cleaned up afterwards. I'm very happy with their service provided. Other places I called took days to call back but José called and came out to give estimate faster than these other places who took days Just to return a call. read more

Very professional job removing my 80 foot tall tree in my yard. They were prompt, courteous, they worked quickly, they cleaned up all the debris, and most importantly, they didn't damage anything....the cable and power lines hanging across my yard was what I was really worried about, but these guys are experts, and they maneuvered around them with ease.
