From start to finish, Jose's Landscape was top notch. It was super easy to set up an evaluation online, Leo showed up promptly and reviewed our projects and sent a quote the same day. Timing was a month or so out but they had an opening & were able to fit me in sooner than expected. The 3 team crew arrived and the lead reviewed the entire project with me before starting work. They tilled, added soil and seeded a large area, replaced a damaged drainage pipe and trimmed cedar bushes, wrapping up a nice job with thorough clean up. I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire process. I will definitely be reaching out for additional projects and would recommended them for just about any sort of landscaping task. I asked for a one-time cleaning. The work they did was ok but not that thorough. They didn't pick up all of the leaves and they didn't remove all of the weeds. It felt like they ran out of time and left some stuff half done. Also, two weeks later a couple of guys came and mowed my lawn. It turned out they signed me up for their long-term maintenance plan even though I didn't ask for it. They were nice enough to not charge me for that visit, but that maintenance visit was only 15 minutes. read more

I got several bids for sod installation, and overall thought Jose's provided the best offer. Jose's office staff are incredible. Basically, I have had more than a few landscapers over many years and have the bad and the very good to compare to. So far not impressed with Jose's Landscaping. A longtime neighbor did warn us. This service gives you a calendar of what to expect over the next year, month by month. Unfortunately, they do not adhere to it. Secondly, they don't do what was agreed upon at the time of the initial walk through. And more disappointing is the sloppy work they do! Anyone can walk around with a blower and appear busy! They just blow everything somewhere else and leave it! You call their office, nobody answers. Bottom line, they charge far too much for the amount of time they spend on the premises per visit, and the work is far from professional. Sorry Jose, just gotta say! read more

Contacted Jose's to come out for an estimate on some landscaping and hardscaping. Got a call back from someone to schedule a time to meet at my home, it was easy enough to set up the appointment. I left early to meet them at my place and nobody showed up, not even a phone call to say they'd be late or couldn't make it anymore. Pretty unprofessional. About a week later, I got an email from the company asking if I was able to review the quotes they sent me. Huh? I explained to them that I never received any quotes since their employee never actually showed up the the appointment. Of course, I got no response to that email. All in all, the lack of a response reinforced that these guys aren't professional. read more

I wanted a third estimate for my project before making a final decision. This company was promising when I met with the fellow who came out to meet with me. I was told I'd have the estimate in a few days, but a month later, I still had not heard from them. I had called after a week had passed, and was told they were busy. I don't typically write reviews, but Jose's landscaping did such a good job installing the 85 foot long retaining wall that I felt compelled to share my experience. On the day of the installation, they showed up on time, they answered any additional questions, they walked me through the installation plan, and they made sure I didn't have any additional changes. Then at the end of each day they let me know they were done for the day and walked me through the day's progress. After four days of hard work, they did a great job cleaning up everything and even cleaned up debris that was there before. I am VERY pleased with their work and would recommend them to any of my friends and family. read more

This landscaper is horrible. We've been with them for years and had signed up for service twice a month. They never show and bill us for the entire month. The rare occasions they do show, they never did the backyard and it turned into a jungle. I requested a quote to fix it and they came back with an outrageous price. I had to go with another landscaper. I let them know I had to go with someone else and to only do the front yard (when they show up). They sent an email back calling me condescending! How can they be in business while telling a customer they are condescending? They also raised their rates to over 150.00. So I've been paying for a service monthly when they never show. So between them not doing the work and just getting an email calling me condescending I terminated service with them immediately. They also do not respond to their customers and are very difficult to get a hold of. Do not use this landscaper. They are shady and not trustworthy. read more

We had been looking to hire someone for yard maintenance and our friend recommended Jose's Landscape & Maintenance. We called and set up an appointment to get an estimate. Jose came out and met with us to talk about what our needs are; he gave us a customized detailed quote of what would be done during the initial visit and then every visit thereafter. We called back to set up a time for them to come and start. Jose showed up first, early. He walked me through what his crew would be doing and what to expect. His crew of like 7 people showed up on time and got right to work. They work very fast and efficiently. Everyone is busy doing something and next thing I know they are finished and ringing the doorbell for me to inspect the work and make sure I didn't need anything else. They do a variety of services; we signed up for a custom maintenance plan that includes them coming out twice a month. Jose let me know that they will be sending me a monthly calendar informing me of what 2 days a month they will be coming. I am extremely happy with the service that I received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. We will be using them for all of yard needs (and they do pressure washing roof/driveway/deck!). read more

We bought new construction and opted out of the "upgrade" to have the builder landscape our backyard, which was essentially a an empty clay pit full of rocks and weeds. We got a couple of quotes from different landscapers. Jose was quick to respond, and came to our house personally to look at everything. He was very friendly, had good suggestions, and came back with the most reasonable quote. We ended up getting topsoil, sod, some shrubs, some bark, and some pavers. We also had them level the sloped side of the yard. The workers were very efficient. They showed up around 7am and were done before 2pm, even with a couple of trips to haul topsoil and sod. We love our new back yard and we will recommend Jose to any of our friends who need work done. read more

My fiancé scheduled a visit and estimate, as we're looking for a quote on some landscaping work. They did not show up at the scheduled time, and when my fiancé called to check in, all they said was "sorry, are you free next week?" Apparently they're having trouble keeping track of appointments. My fiancé had to re-arrange her schedule to be able to work from home and be available. So this was not cool at all. They lost their chance by flaking on our appointment. read more

We used Jose's Landscaping and Maintenance for the first time to build a block retaining wall and lay a paver patio and walkway after having used another contractor for years. Jose and his crew were absolutely wonderful to work with. All bids were prompt, thorough and reasonable. They listened to our needs and concerns and were flexible with any changes we needed as the project unfolded. Jose was personally at the site nearly every day to check in with us and direct his crew. His crew were extremely hard working, courteous and professional. We were extremely pleased with the results. We were so pleased with the work that we chose to have Jose's Landscaping and Maintenance install a very large flagstone patio. During construction, Jose's crew identified a serious drainage issue which they quickly fixed. Had it not been discovered and repaired, the entire patio would have slowly sunk. The repairs were quick and reasonable and did not hold up the project. While on site, Jose's Landscaping and Maintenance also repaired several loose and broken pavers caused by the winter freeze, cleaned up our yard and installed some vinyl fencing and gates. All for a very reasonable price. We are more than pleased with the results of our landscaping projects and would highly recommend their services. They are prompt, professional, flexible and all projects came in on budget. We already have plans for some additional projects this spring given how pleased we are with their work. read more

I gave 2 stars because the work they did is good but the price they charged was really high. I contacted them for my yard cleanup, they sent an estimator in couple of days. The estimate looked high so I confirmed with them that I was asking for just cleanup. They assured me the price is right and sounded like the process is really complex and the job will take approximately 6-8 hrs. So I agreed to the quote, but when the actual job was done its done in 2 hrs and they still charged me the same price. I feel they over charged me for just a clean up. When I checked with my neighbor who has same yard size like mine,they had the same cleanup done at much reasonable price. read more

I found Jose Lanscaping through Yelp. Reviews were fantastic so I decided to give them a try. I also requested 3 other bids from other companies and Jose's was the best. Communication at the begining was a little choppy but they tried to give good customer service and they don't want to over promise. The result was better than I had imagined. Jorge and Lauro did a fantastic job and they knew how to do the retaining wall. They also came wearing their "thinking hats" so when they encounted something unexpected due to the terrain they were quick to give more than one solution for me to choose from. The job took place in November and this particular week was particularly rainy. My neighbor was doing a similar job in her yard and her company canceled a couple of days because of the rain but Jorge and Lauro never stopped. They finished the job ahead of schedule. Angie and Donna at the home office were very helpful and Hoss, the estimator came regularly to make sure everything was meeting his high starndards. I hired Jose's landscape in the early months of spring for pressure wash and roof cleaning. They did very poor job in the pressure wash and I had to call them to come again and redo some of the parts. I found out that part of the concrete got cracked. Few weeks later, water was leaking from the roof. I brought a contractor and he showed me with pictures that the person who cleaned the roof hit something and got a nail misplaced which introduced the leak. read more

Jose's did awesome! We had them first fix our Flagstone patio and move a couple sprinkler heads for us that another landscaper had failed on. Since they were so reasonable with pricing, fast at scheduling, and did the job SO well, we had them come out again and install a gravel driveway for our new RV. They had to remove a ton of turf, relocate many trees and plants, level the lane, pack it down, border it with a nice border, remove the fencing and work around it for the fence guys to install a drive thru gate (later found out they could have done that, as well!). They were on time as scheduled, made sure the job was done right, had an excellent attention to detail, and were very, very friendly to boot! I love oxmpanies like this that are small, willing to please, and just do what they say they are going to do, and even go above and beyond! I will definitley call Jose's in the future for any more landscaping needs! read more

We used Jose's for a few years for regular lawn care. They came twice a month to mow, remove weeds from landscaping, trim bushes, and clean up any debris. After a while i realized i was paying an awful lot for really poor maintenance. The bushes were often either not trimmed at all or were hacked too much. They were rarely properly pruned. Many plants in the landscaping died under their care. There was even one time they backed their trailer into the house and damaged the siding. They said they would repair it, but in reality they just filled the hole in the siding with putty and painted over it - a totally unacceptable repair. After complaining about the repair, they offered a month of free service - but what i really wanted was for them to PROPERLY fix the siding. They weren't completely bad though. They were always on time - even on holidays. They were great at clean up. I feel there are better options out there for lawn service. read more
