I employed Jose's Landscaping & Maintenance to work on my front lawn. I had contacted them via email for an initial estimate. They replied promptly and scheduled to come out to make an initial free estimate the next working day. After surveying the work I pointed out, I was provided with an estimate the next day. After reviewing the numbers, I spoke with their customer support number to ask for clarification. My phone call was picked up immediately and my questions answered politely and to my satisfaction. Based on their promptness and professionalism, I decided to move ahead with the project. Jose, the owner, himself came out with the crew to make sure my questions/concerns were properly addressed before the work started. I had them build a 4 foot high retaining wall in my front lawn (my lot sits that far above the street level), add soil to bring the lawn to an acceptable level gradient and add grass seed. They also removed two tree stumps that the previous owner had left behind. They worked diligently over two days and completed the work with quality. I will however call out that it is important to list out the work you would like for them to do - they stick to the requested work and base their estimate on it. Requests for additional work will result in an additional quotation - which is fair, considering that they are running a business. In my case, they did not include cap stones on the wall, which I had forgotten to specify. I don't consider this a red-flag but more of a "it-would-have-been-nice-for-them-to-have-pointed-my-oversight-out". I provided them this feedback directly and appreciate that they acknowledged that it was something that they will look to do in future projects. I just purchased a house in Bothell and the yard was in need of attention. I was very impressed with their customer service. The office returned my call the same day and Teo arrived the next day to survey the yard and discuss what needed to be done. I had an estimate by the next day for cleaning up the front and back yard, removing and dumping various items left by the former owners, cleaning the gutters, pressure washing, removing or trimming plants, installing mulch and river rock, mowing, etc. After accepting the estimate his crew arrived the following Monday. It took them 2 days and the yard looks great! I also had them remove a rock retaining wall that was deteriorating and install a new retaining wall with small blocks. It looks so much better now. A couple of times a day Teo or another supervisor would stop by to check on the process and to see if I had questions or wanted to make changes. The owner Jose stopped by the second day to check on the crew, chat with me and thank me for the business. The guys that did the work were courteous and hard workers. They listened when I had suggestions or questions and made sure that everything was done the way I wanted it. I've already signed up with their company for twice a month yard service. These guys are great! My yard had been neglected for a long time and it had become a jungle - completely out of control. It left me feeling over-whelmed. It was like the back of the house was close to being engulfed by raw untamed nature. Plants, Shrubs and Trees had taken over and one could not walk thru the yard in an upright fashion. I came to the conclusion I needed pros to help me with this. I picked Jose's Landscaping & Maintenance. First, they sent out Onan, a very friendly, articulate gentlemen and he looked around and took notes. I was able to tell him my concerns, and he answered back with solutions and proposals which put me at ease. The estimate showed up in my Email a couple of days later. Do not use this company. Their actions demonstrate a clear lack of respect, care, and basic professionalism. Despite a clearly visible "No Soliciting" sign at my home, I observed via my doorbell camera that an individual representing this company approached my front door, looked directly at the sign, and chose to ignore it. They then discarded a half-sheet flyer onto my front step and left. The paper was subsequently blown into nearby bushes, and I later noticed similar litter scattered throughout the neighborhood. This behavior shows a disregard for private property and posted requests, which reflects poorly on the company as a whole. First impressions matter, and this one raises serious concerns about their standards and integrity. Based on this experience, I will not be using this company. Furthermore, I will not recommend them to others and will advise anyone who asks to consider alternative providers. read more

I have used Jose and crew many times over the last few years from everything from tree removal to lawn and yard maintenance. I have been dealing with flooding (major) in my back yard for many years and this year was SO bad that it was finally time to have them put a drainage system in. They came out and gave me an estimate and started work the following day. It took them less that two days of work to solve a problem that had caused my lawn to flood (over 1 foot deep and 20 feet across every year. They dug a trench, laid drainage pipe, backfilled with rock, leveled and fixed the lawn and spread new grass seed all as part of the drainage system install. Their crew always leaves your property cleaner than when they got there. Jose and his crew came and cleaned up my yard and added new sod. I used the online schedule on the website to make an appointment for a bid. Roberto came and did the estimate. He arrived 15 minutes early. After looking at yard and taking pictures, Roberto told me he would send the quotes on Saturday. The quotes were emailed to me on the day Roberto said he would send them. Jose's crew came out and did my yard on June 1st and June 2nd. They arrived at 7:30am and started to work right away. They transformed a yard with overgrown weeds, plants, brushes and dead sod. Jose crew put black bark around the yard. I have received a lot of positive comments from neighbors about the yard transformation. The only issue with the crew was on June 1st at 3pm to 4pm, the crew played loud music from the work truck which caused a lot of noise pollution. read more

After meeting with Hossman, who did a very thorough review of what I wanted done, I hired the Jose's crew to do a winter yard clean up, some irrigation maintenance, address some drainage issues, and bring in additional rock to complete one of my own incomplete summer projects. Hossman came by on Thursday and was able to get a crew onsite on Friday and was able to complete the project in a single day. I had Enrique and Valentin as my crew and they were amazing. They did a great, and very complete, job on all the projects. They were super clean, super polite, and if you're lucky enough to get these two, you're in luck, but based on my interactions with the organization, I'm sure all their employees are of the same caliber). From start to finish Jose's landscaping has been amazing business to work with. I first called to request a quote and they were able to get someone to put in a week. We wanted to get a patio, retaining wall, and fire pit area done. Onan came to do our estimate and was prompt and kind. The got our estimate back to us in a week. Once we approved the estimate they were able to start work really quickly. Luis, the project manager or Onan came every day and kept us informed about what was going on. They crew is very kind and work quickly but they pay a lot of attention to detail. Once the work was complete, Luis did a walkthrough of the work and explained also explained how to take care of the seed they laid down. So is it possible to give more stars? This company is by far the best in the business. I've had two others before this company and their work was...well...let's just say I wish I had gone with this company first. They sent out the quotes, way cheaper than I thought is was going to be, and I scheduled a date and time and they were right on the mark. My yard looked like the zombie apocalypse had its reunion there and within a day all of the blackberry bushes, nasty bits and weeds were gone. The next day they barked and added much needed topsoil (you know how those zombies can be) and graded the area then added turf. They recommended some low plants and now the place is beautiful. I am astonished with the responsiveness Jose's team gave our little backyard patio and landscaping project. Within hours that I contacted their office, a estimator was there. They showed up with a large team to complete some complex repairs on my brick patio and all of the landscaping - front and back - and finished it all within one day! My wife and I needed a backyard retaining wall to address a slope and drainage issue, and the crew at José's Landscaping and Maintenance did a beautiful job. The project turned out to be more involved that we first thought, but José and his crew expended the effort to make sure it was done right. José kept us informed throughout the project, recommended small improvements, and ensured that the changes wouldn't cause problems for other plans that we have for the future. Our project was to lay turf /artificial grass on my front yard and also had a side bed that needed to be raised a few inches and i wanted roses to be planted and finally some bark.They were very quick to give me a quote.Leo was my estimator.The quote was reasonable coz i did have multiple quotes to compare with.They were willing to work with me though i did mention i felt one of the quotes was over my budget and we came to a final decision.The end result was just as good as i wanted it to be.I had two guys Juan and Tino do the job in about few hrs.Jose and his guys were just awesome.I would definitely recommend these guys and will for sure have them back when i need more landscaping things done . read more

I was referred to Jose by a friend and was please at the speed in which they were able to make it out for an estimate and to do the actual job. I had my front yard completely redone and new plants put throughout the property. I really appreciated Jose working with me on price and making sure that both my wife and I were happy with what was being done. I am a regular customer of Jose's Landscaping. They do a great job keeping my lawn and yard looking great year round. I also had them prep my yard for a swing set (flattening an area and edging it with beams so I can fill it with 6 inches of rubber mulch after the swing set is installed). They followed my instructions and came to me when questions arose. For example, they let me know that my original dimensions would mean cutting too far into a tree's roots and would jeopardize its ability to grow. I altered my requested dimensions. The team is friendly and always willing to accommodate. Jose's is also more affordable than other places. They do a great job. read more

We love supporting family owned businesses in our community. We recently had major excavation done by Jose Landscaping Company of Bothell. The hard working excavation crew worked hard all day to remove stump debris and old sod and dirt along with an annoying flowering cherry tree, roots and all that had grew into the yard, it had been a bane for years. If you need this kind of work done, this is the company to go with. They leveled, spread top soil, peat moss and seed. One week later the huge front yard is now turning into a carpet of green! VERY PLEASED!!! Jose and his team were great! I had them redo my front yard - take out a hedge, new plants, new trees, etc. They arrived early and got right to work - kept going all day. Even managed to find a specific type of tree I could not locate at any nursery or even online. Then they topped a row of trees that had grown well over the height of my house and were posing a threat in a high-wind situation. Again, they went right to work and even in HAIL (no kidding) did they continue. Jose showed up regularly to confirm my satisfaction and answer any questions. Jose's crew did such a nice job on our first landscape project we had him come back to put in a drip irrigation system. This installation required a bit of modification of the first project, which I was a bit worried about, but, once again, Jose's guys did a magnificent job.
