If you've never been to Jollibee, it is great chicken. The fried chicken includes dark meat only. Thighs and legs. The regular is tasty, but the spicy is better - if you can handle the heat. They also have a unique take on spaghetti. The sauce is more sweet and is not like Italian sauce. It also has hot dog slices for the meat. Strange, right? It's actually quite good. Then, instead of Parmesan cheese, they put shredded cheese. This is definitely different but definitely tasty. I always get the spaghetti with spicy chicken. The mango peach pie is a must-try if you like deserts. The problem with this location is that they have disappointed me twice. I've been there twice, so that's a pretty poor score so far. Both times I've been there, they did not have SPICY chicken. Only the regular. And the other problem was they spaghetti was not done to Jollibee standards. It looked like it had been microwaved instead of prepared fresh because the shredded cheese was seriously melted down. Normally it's not that way. I'm giving them 4 stars because they should normally be quite good. But this location has not been as good as the other location in Houston or the other locations we've tried in the Philippines. read more

We ordered a 10 pieces bundle and were instructed to park at the pickup area to wait for the order. We waited for 30 mins plus and saw other people came after us got their orders. Went in to the store and everyone have their head and down no one asked if I need help. I waited for another 5+ mins before someone greeted me. I asked about my order, she checked and it's still not ready. I can see my order sitting at the counter with an empty bucket. Not sure how this place manage their orders but it's not right that we have to wait for 30 plus mins while the other customers came after us got their orders first. It's just not very good. The chicken itself tasted very similair to church's chicken, but for much more expensive. The gravy tastes like some basic KFC gravy, nothing special. The burger patties were pretty off-putting. I tried to give the spaghetti a chance but it was horrific. The mango pies were just ok and no better than Whataburger apple pies. It feels like Jollibee is an amalgamation of cheap items from different fast food places, but at a cost that is way too expensive for what they are. The closest Jollibee to our home is 20 miles away so, I have never tried it before. I was going to be in Houston and decided to pick up a bucket of their spicy chicken since I've heard and seen so much about it. I drive up in the drive thru just after 11 am and a sign on the speaker says they are out of spicy chicken. I worked as a manager at Popeyes before and this is just bad management not ordering enough supply to meet the demand. I remember when this place first opened, my friends and I were super excited to finally have a jollibee closer to us. After ordering here for the first time shortly after their grand opening, I had made the decision to never come back to this location. It was lacking compared to the med center one. Chicken wasn't up to par, the gravy tasted different, even the spaghetti was flavorless. Super disappointing, BUT today I decided to try it again and boy have they improved! Their spicy chicken isn't as spicy as it used to be, but it was still juicy and amazing with the gravy sauce. I also like how light the batter was. It isn't as thick and hard as Popeyes or church's. Not a terrible experience but definitely one to remember. A/C had to be not working when i decided to finally try Jollibee out. Ordered a family meal. Came with Chicken and Spaghetti. The chicken was ok...spaghetti was actually not that bad. It's a filipino spaghetti that just has a bbq sauce flavor and some cut up hotdogs in it. Service was really slow. I know they claim to be understaffed but it didn't seem that way. Ive seen less people at Burger King and they get it done pretty fast. They had at least 5 people just in the cooking/prep area, one guy taking orders from the main lobby and one in the drive through, one lady cleaning the lobby and one guy smoking a cig outside by the trash can. Besides the fact that it was hotter than Satan's ball sack inside i would say i could give Jollibee another shot. Oooohhhh!! Before i forget...try the pies here! Today I definitely did not receive that beloved Raisin Canes Taste. The chicken AND fries had no other taste than oil. and the lemonade taste like water with unmixed pre-drink. So glad we spotted they were open as we passed by Wertheimer last night. We got there right on time when the line was just beginning to get long at night. The hour was about 40min I feel like. They have an exclusive menu so not everything from other Jollibee was on there for example the halo halo or aloha burger which I have always wanted to try, but they had a majority of the items. We got a little bit everything on the menu to try because we don't know when we'd be willing to wait in that line again. Both of our favorites were the bucket of chicken joy and the peach mango pie. The chicken was extremely hot even by the time we got home to eat it, it was still scorching hot to bite through. The skin was crispy golden perfect and juicy white tender meat. I liked my every bite to be dipped in their gravy, it adds a lot more flavor and it makes it the best fried chicken. Without gravy it did lack a bit of flavor, but makes up for the perfectly fried chicken. I'd prefer it over the other fast food joints because it doesn't feel as oily and greasy. 2nd item honestly tied with first is the peach mango pie. If there was any one item I'd suggest you get this one. This beats all the fast food pies. The outside is crispy slightly sweet buttery, the best pie shell ever. The filling was sweet gooey peachy and slight hints of mango. I wish there was more mango than peach, but still amazing. As we drove up to their drive thru menu we saw they also had an ube pie which I wish I would've seem before ordering. Next up is their spicy chicken sandwich, which was amazing. Loved that they delivered on the spicy part, but I've got to say still not my favorite chicken sandwich compared to Popeyes. My husband on the other hand said it was his number one fast food chicken sandwich, which I can see why. The quality IS a bit better from the bun to the veggies and even the meat was amazing, but for me the Popeyes chicken sandwich flavor is unbeatable and I dream about it all day. This chicken sandwich is 2nd best for me. Next up the yum burger which I'd give it a 3/5 but my husband said 0/5 he didn't really enjoy it. Coming from an asian background the burger did have some weird asian flavor to it, the sauce was good. He thought it tasted a little weird. The quality was ok for this burger, I wouldn't ever order it again since I'm not even a burger person to begin with. The adobo rice was very different in flavor. I've never tasted anything like it, in my opinion it was too salty. I liked the texture it was kinda sticky which is common for some asian rice dishes. It was one of my hubbys least favorite item too. I wouldn't order it again or recommend. I'm sure there are other delicious adobo rice this place didn't do it right. The spaghetti is a toss up. I personally didn't like anything about it. First off i'm not a spaghetti person so I might be biased, but I only took 1-2 bites and was done. On the other hand the spaghetti was one of hubbys first pick! He thought it was delicious. For me the flavor was weird. I liked the sausage in it, but that's about it. I'd recommended you order it though because its a hit or miss. Overall we had a fun time trying all the food, between two we definitely did not finish. The chicken was the star BUT dipped in gravy and the azmazing dessert. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. It's new so everyone should understand to give them time to work out the kinks. I came and placed my order and the cashier asked me to park and they would bring my order out when it's ready. He estimated like 20 minutes because they cook the chicken to order and I had 2 buckets plus the palabok fiesta pack. He was very cordial as well as the 2 people who brought it yo my car. This was my First time on the Westhiemer location. I was excited to try it and got the order for take out so my mom and I can eat it together. Unfortunately, they forgot my palabok which was for my mom. I can't really complain because they got my receipt and I was already home. I'm very disappointed with the service I got from them. They weren't really busy as the inside of the store was empty, and the prices of the items in the menu aren't cheap either.
