We came by for the Grand Opening and were genuinely impressed! From the moment we walked in, the energy was fun, the staff was friendly, and everything smelled amazing. We ordered the sliders: Cowgirl Prom Queen Rodeo Clown Firecracker Each one had its own flavor personality and was so good fresh, juicy, and well-seasoned. The buns were soft and everything tasted super fresh. You really can't go wrong with any of them! And of course... we had to try the milkshakes We got the Vanilla and Banana Cream shakes both were creamy, not too sweet, and the perfect pairing with the sliders. Honestly, sliders + milkshakes = chef's kiss. Definitely recommend checking out this location. Whether you're a Chubbies regular or trying it for the first time, this new spot on Memorial Dr is worth the visit!

    Chicken tender and fry

I ordered online for pickup. will give 1 star for the speediness of the order, another star for the friendliness and another for the fries that were the only thing that were good. However, my chicken tenders were over cooked and almost burnt (pic attached). They are bigger than your average size tenders. My husband's sliders were charred and were average at best. He got the chubbie sliders.

Delicious!! Burgers, fries and shakes were great! Service was great! Highly recommended!! Eat in or take out. We had the Chubbie burger and Rodeo Clown burger. Tasty, not greasy, just a great burger.

Menu, pic of Rodeo Clown slider

Enjoyed the sliders at Chubbies (Memorial west of Dairy Ashford, in the same center as La Hacienda, Mrs. Donuts, and Mama Fontana)! I had the Rodeo Clown (slider with bacon, fried onion, cheddar cheese, and Chubbie sauce for $3.50) - it was delicious! Got the Sweetheart (chicken tender, bacon jam, Chubbie sauce) for my husband for later. Hours are Tues/Wed 11-3, Thurs-Sat 11a-9p. They also have chicken tenders and shakes!

Support your local business- much better sliders and shakes than a fast food chain. Excellent service too.

This time I called in an order for tallarines saltados and two whole chickens for my family. They told me it would be ready in an hour, which was fine. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner handed me the food and casually said he replaced my tallarines with lomo saltado -- without asking me first. He said it was "a better choice" and that they were out of tallarines. I told him clearly that I did not want lomo saltado, but he kept insisting, so I just took it to avoid arguing. When we got home, the real problem started -- both chickens were undercooked, tough, and hard to chew. It was so bad that I told my kids and family not to eat any of it, and I ended up throwing everything in the trash. I paid good money for this meal, and we didn't get to eat at all. Changing an order without consent and serving raw chicken is not acceptable. I won't be coming back.

One thing that really stood out, and I haven't seen many restaurants do this -- is that they offer you a small sample of the food before you order. That little touch made a huge difference! It helped me decide on the right heat level for my chicken and narrow down which sides I wanted. Such a simple gesture, but so thoughtful. I ordered the H-Town wings with the hot honey sauce and a side of their homemade ranch -- and WOW. The wings were incredible, and that ranch? Delicious doesn't even cover it. I also ordered the leg and thigh Korean style, and while the flavor was amazing, it was a bit too saucy for my taste. I hate sending food back, but I knew I wasn't going to eat it -- so I did. And let me tell you, they handled it with such grace and kindness. No attitude, no awkwardness -- just genuine, outstanding customer service. That right there says everything about the kind of establishment Tumble 22 is. I couldn't even finish everything (portions are generous!), but the leftovers reheated perfectly in the air fryer the next day. I will absolutely be back -- especially for those H-Town wings. Go try them. You won't regret it!

They've built a loyal and local following by making comfort food the centerpiece of their many talents (#2). When the food is as tasty as the customer service is friendly, it's hard not to love all they to offer. The shop is so small that seating is non-existent, (#3) thus it's strictly a takeout and delivery establishment. Their display case of hot foods changes throughout the day, depending on availability. Anything after the late afternoon is a huge gamble, so when in doubt, call ahead of time to confirm whether an item is available. I love to pop in just to get a good visual of my choices -- and I've always managed to walk out with something delicious. Of all the items I've tried, there have been standouts across the board. The oxtail, stewed chicken with gravy, smothered rib tips, meat loaf, and their über famous honey glazed wings and meatballs are fabulous. Their sides of dressing, sweet candied yams, mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes make for a perfectly complete meal. Even the cornbread is outstanding, which is really saying something. I'd be remiss not to mention their incredibly underrated desserts. The peach cobbler is fire, pound cake and banana pudding are excellent, and their triple layered German-chocolate cake floored me. It was decadent, a tinge savory, and extremely addicting. The fact they offer catering for every item mentioned above means my future potlucks are going to be next level. When they're ready to open another location in a different part of town, I can only hope it'll be closer to me. To be honest the service is slow and at times they're rude and don't wanna do their job. One of the only positive things I can say is that even though the service is slow, the food comes out hot & fresh. I would hope so since they're not busy. My to go orders are usually the 3 piece campus with either mash potatoes, red beans and rice, collard greens & dirty rice. Or I'll get their 3 piece catfish. Sometimes I'll get the dessert (peach cobbler & sweet potato pie). While the chicken comes out hot & fresh. There is zero seasoning on the chicken itself. Not even a pinch of salt. They rely on the batter for flavor. Don't get me wrong the batter is salty & delicious for my palate but the chicken is so bland. Collard greens are uninspiring & boring but edible. Mash potatoes taste just fine but their gravy adds a layer of flavor. Red beans and rice once again, flavorless & they always give you one measly piece of sausage. Their dirty rice is a little dry but not bad. Now for the catfish I actually enjoy it. The batter is the same as their chicken & the fish itself is moist and juicy. The desserts feel like it's store bought and not made in house but it's bearable. Overall, this location ain't it. It's located next to a gas station & the area itself isn't safe. The inside of the restaurant isn't clean either. Lazy & rude employees don't make it any better. If you want some good Frenchy's go to the one on 3rd ward. I would frequently go there but that's no where close to my house so I have to settle for this location. I hope they make improvements before they shut down.

I had always heard about the chicken pho as the dish to try, but the person I went with also recommended some other things. So we actually ended up with three dishes and I got to try a lot of great stuff. Of course I tried the chicken pho, which lived up to the expectation of being the Vietnamese comfort soup. Another dish was like a catfish in a sauce in a clay pot. I quite enjoyed the fish in the sauce, but beware it does have bones! The third dish was a mix of different proteins and mushrooms and rice. You can see a picture of it but I can't remember what it's called. I enjoyed the variety of what was in this dish and the rice had kind of a toasted vibe as it got stuck to the metal bowl by design. Despite all of these being small bowls, it was too much food for just two people. We kind of knew it would be but I wanted to try some new dishes, and I'm glad that I did! My only complaint is that after getting our food we never had a server come by again, so I never got more water.

I didn't know there was one in Memorial until my administrative assistant suggested it for her birthday with lunch. We were all glad she did because we actually loved it. We dined in on a Wednesday afternoon. The place is somewhat hidden down Gaylord Street behind A Moveable Feast where we ate at for another manager's birthday lunch. The GPS might throw you off a bit. The parking strip is pretty busy, but you can still find a couple spots. It was kind of empty when we came in just before noon. It did get busy after that. You line up and order at the registers, and they give you a number marker to deliver your meal to your table. There's partial booth and low table seating inside. There's fountain drink and tea at the far end of the dining area towards the single gender restrooms. I don't remember what I tried years ago, so I went with the one scoop and two sides. I had the traditional Classic Carol, loaded potato soup and grape salad. My admin asst raved about it, so I had to try. Plus, I needed some fruit in my life. The Classic Carol is plain with celery, mayo and their secret seasoning. I liked that the celery was not overpowering. In fact, I couldn't really see it. I thought it was ok paired with the wheat crackers. I shared some with my other coworker who ordered Olivia's Old South which has sweet pickles and hard boiled eggs. I think I liked that version better. I would like to try the Cranberry Kelli next time which has dried cranberries and slivered almonds. I've had all kinds of chicken salad. It's one of my faves at HEB and will order chicken salad sandwiches at different delis. I grew up with my family making chicken salad, as well. The loaded potato soup was great. It came topped with crispy bacon pieces and shredded cheese. The cup of soup was hot and had nice chunks of potato. The potatoes were soft and perfectly cooked. I ate about half the chicken salad scoop with crackers since the soup made me full. I tried the grape salad and saved the rest. It was delicious. It has a sweet cream cheese sauce over the grapes and is topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar and chopped pecans. My admin asst was right! I also liked their tea, which I mixed with sweet and unsweetened. Other items our group enjoyed was the pimento cheese sandwich, chicken melt and the small sugar cookies the meals came with. I gave mine away. This is definitely a great lunch place option. It's right off the I-10 freeway, so it's nearby a lot of work places including ours. I'm sure we'll be back here even though it is a little pricey. My meal was about $15-16. As a side note, I'm glad we didn't experience having large pieces of cartilage in our chicken salad as other reviews mentioned.
