The spice was perfection and it didn't taste artificial. I was very happy with the amount of spice. The tenders were decent, but you can automatically tell they were fresh, flakey, and actual chicken. You can repurpose them to wraps or sandwiches if needed. (Wish they had a spicy option) Mac and cheese was great, and the pineapple quencher was so refreshing, sweet but not artificially syrup sweet. Really delicious. Not the biggest fried chicken person, but next time I have a craving for friend chicken I know where to go. Hopefully the Korean fried chicken is not sold out next time! From the outside the place looks clean and well maintained. FOOD: I ordered the 2-piece meal deal ($11 plus tax). It comes with 2 pieces of chicken, gravy, 1 side, 1 drink, and a pie. Chicken: The chicken tasted good, well-flavored and balanced. You could tell it was probably marinated, because even without the skin it still had flavor. I didn't expect the pieces to be so big! I initially wanted the original flavor, but I was told it would be an 8-minute wait, so I switched to spicy instead. The spicy chicken was actually spicy hahaha. I'd compare the heat to hot chips. If you take your time and eat one piece at a time, it's manageable. But if you rush and don't chew thoroughly, the spice builds and sneaks up on you. Proceed at your own risk! Of course, everyone's spice tolerance is different, so it might not be a big deal for some Fries: Not my cup of tea. They were flavorless, greasy, and too crunchy for my liking. Gosh, consider me officially converted from other fast food fried chicken. This place is almost always packed when I drop by, which means the chicken is always freshly fried and hasn't been sitting in the warmer forever. My favorite things about jollibee: - the chicken is all dark meat - the chunky size of the chicken thighs/drum - it's not a scrawny piece of meat!! super tender and juicy - beautiful crisp/crunch - the gravy - savory and not overly salted/spiced. Now, I am surprised they don't have a 3 piece meal (only 2) so I usually end up with the 6 piece combo with 2 large sides for $20 and that feels like a pretty good deal to me. Plus they let me split spicy and regular. The spicy chicken is indeed spicy - almost too much for me but I enjoy both the regular and spicy. The gravy for the chicken was pretty plain and fries tasted like there was no salt on them. The service was very kind and the environment was very clean. Unfortunately they were sold out of any of the Katsye so I was bummed out I didn't get to try any but since I already drove far for this I might as well order stuff since Ive been eyeing to try them for a while. I have been itching to try jollibee for so long. I've seen countless videos on my feed showing how crispy the chicken is. I was finally able to go and see the hype for myself. Definitely surpassed my expectations. My brother and I dined in to eat the food fresh. We ordered the 6 pc chicken joy meal deal + a mango peach pie. It ended up being around $27. It is on the pricier side, but it's so worth it. The chicken was served HOT. Literally bit into the chicken and it was steaming... even after 20 min, it was still piping hot. The skin was crisp perfection. We got the chicken spicy, so there was a little kick to it, but nothing that was over the top. Loved dipping it into the gravy, which was so good, I felt like I could drink it like soup lol. The mashed potatoes were delicious ofc, soft and warm. I personally enjoyed the hint of sweetness of the spaghetti! The pineapple quencher was refreshing and light. It reminded me of canned pineapple juice. The peach mango pie is simply amazing. I'd highly recommend trying the holiday meal for a great value pack! I've long heard of the crispiness of the chicken, and it did not disappoint. The pineapple quencher specialty drink was also a personal favorite, and I bet it's even better during the summertime. The mango peach pie fell a little short of expectation unfortunately, but the seasonal ube pie that I bought aside from the holiday meal was great! Came here for the first time. We always get the Cheese Yumburgers, Filipino Spaghetti, Fried Chicken, and Palabok. This time around, we also got the Chicken Sandwich, Peach Mango Pie, and Ube Pie. The pies were ok and I had to get another Peach Mango pie because I ended up getting a hollow empty pie lol. The food is always flavorful and delicious, but so expensive. The Ube pie wasn't that good. Staff are friendly and fast. Restaurant is super nice, but the restrooms is super disgusting. There was no toilet paper, pee on the toilet seats and floor. I don't understand how Jollibee has such a low rating...I've never had a bad experience, service is nice and fast, and the food is always consistently good when I go. The only time my expectations weren't met was the one time I tried the spicy chicken and found out the spicy chicken isn't as moist as the regular chicken. But I just went back to getting regular and have been happy ever since! I always get the Bucket Treat B when I go. It's meant for a family, but I eat it on my own throughout the week lol it contains a 6pc chicken bucket, spaghetti family pack, and 3 peach mango pies. The REGULAR CHICKEN is the most moist chicken I've ever had in my life! A chicken thigh that is moist down to the bone is almost impossible to come by, but they have it figured out. Like I said earlier, I tried the spicy flavor one time and it was not as moist, which is one of the reasons why I love their chicken, so I'll be sticking with the regular flavor. I think the contrast of the soft, tender meat with the beautifully crunchy skin is part of what makes Jollibee chicken so good. The flavor is pretty mild, but I think it highlights the natural flavor of the chicken and showcases how well it's cooked and prepared. Especially for a fast food restaurant! And if you stick it in an air fryer, it's just as good a few days later as when it's fresh! The JOLLY SPAGHETTI is controversial lol you either love it or hate it. Obviously, I love it! We placed our order at 2:01 PM, and after 30 minutes, our order still hadn't been prepared. If we hadn't gone to the counter, it seems that no one would have started our order. They didn't have our ticket, and despite having many employees at the counter, they appeared to be unsure of what they were doing. They only began to print our order and start making it after we inquired. No apology was offered for the delay. I spoke with the manager, he said he would address the issue with the staff, but again, no apology was given and that's it. This store has poor customer service and needs better management. Noticing there was no restaurants on north side of Westheimer from Houston Center to Eldridge that opens before 11 on Friday morning. The reason I came to Jollibee was because the brand recognition and I have to stop by at Michaels. I just wanted something to drink, initially. But as soon as I saw Spaghetti + Soda for just $7.99. I'm not into big meals. This was perfectly for my morning crave. Cashier reminded me to add a piece of Chickenjoy. Sure, why not? My order was ready right after I got my tea. Ambiance is good and clean, fast service, parking lot wasn't too cramped in. The lady at the counter helped us get a better deal for our order. She is able to speak both English and tagalog which is a BIG PLUS FOR ME. I love being able to speak to them in our native language. There was a time when this Jollibee was plagued with service issues that resulted in snarky attitudes, delivery lag, and never-ending order mishaps. Based upon a few recent visits, it looks like they got a majority of those service kinks adjusted. I'll never put it last them seeing as they're a fast food joint but that was the only major blemish that I saw. The chicken is still chicken joy and the place is clean and modern. Most people are here for the fried chicken, which has yet to disappoint. The chicken fingers are also fire, but not as juicy as the bone-in chicken joy. The pies and spaghetti are always going to be crowd favorites even if the burgers / mash are underwhelming. I do wish they had spam sliders here like other locations but Energy Corridor has no shortage of additional Filipino establishments. Still, one of the lingering issues is their pace. On one hand it's nice that they take such time preparing the food but for a fast food place it's a little on the slower side. If you don't like this chain, why say anything? Why not just Bee Jolli, or Bee quiet. But I have to be honest, it's not for me. I'm not a fan of Jollibee by any stretch of the imagination and I might even go as far to say that it is pretty damn overrated, because so many seem to be obsessed with it. But having said that, this Filipino fast food brings a lot of joy to a lot of people, and so you can't take away from how popular it is, and how great it is to have in Houston. Some of the items are pretty tasty even though they all seem a little overpriced, and there's merit and originality here in some regards, but it's not really up my alley. So it's always good to have this chain around, and like I said it attracts a really eclectic and fun crowd and is really a hometown favourite for anybody from the old world of the Philippines. This location is over here on Westheimer and it just keeps seeming pretty busy each time we're here.
