Nut allergy friendly! I've had several flavors of the chicken to go and it's always been fine. We generally order the Hot & Spicy Chicken and the Fried Crispy Chicken. Generally 4-7 pieces per person is sufficient, especially if there are sides. I really like the care they have in have a steam vent flap in the box. That helps prolong the crispiness of the chicken. Unfortunately, the Hot & Spicy does not travel too well. Even a 15 minute drive leaves it less crispy than desired, due to the amount of sauce involved. On the other hand, the Fried Crispy Chicken travels very well and maintains a nice crispy crunch even after 15-25 minutes of travel. A pretty solid option in the grocery food store!

FYI, the chicken takes 15 minutes to prepare so plan accordingly. Pretty delicious Korean fried chicken. I got the soy garlic and enjoyed it (okay, fine, I devoured it). I like the spiciness chart on their menu -- very helpful. Also shows which flavors are the driest. Friendly service.

OKkkk, so I was in H-mart for hours between Friday and Sunday and neither time was this place busy. My friend told me The ToreOne fried chicken place has gone down. How sad because I definitely (1) had heard of it (2) had that bad boy bookmarked in Yelp! for the longest. Sunday, I saw someone with a smoothie that looked good and I asked them what it was. I decided to order me one, taro smoothie with boba. I asked the cashier about it, he offered to let me taste the powder for an idea about how it would taste. Did a little tongue dip and decided it was just ok but I was like still, let me try something new. Ordered it and waited about 5-7 minutes for it. The smoothie piece was a bit icier than I like but I presume because it didn't any fruit in it. But where they lose HELLA stars is the boba. I am no connoisseur of boba but I've had enough in my big age to know what it taste like and most definitely, what it shouldn't taste like. That boba ruined the whole drink for me! It was so tough and the wrong kind of chewy! Bleh bleh bleh, I did think to take it back but I didn't bother.

KFC. Not the colonel, but Korean fried chicken was pretty good. We ordered two flavors. Balsamic scallion and original hot. Both flavors were on point. Crispy, crunchy, fried and with a lot of flavor in every bite. The food was ready in less than 10 mins. We made good choices with the flavors, although I would like to try out all the flavors some day.

Korean fried chicken was just another thing on my list I've been wanting to try lately. My girlfriend recommended this place so we decided to grab some to go and try it out! The location is inside the H-mart food court so the ambiance is just okay, but I don't take any points away for this. The food took a little while to come out, probably well over 25 minutes. The chicken itself as well as the sauce was okay but it was lacking some of the crispiness I would expect from freshly fried chicken. Lastly, the price seemed to be a little on the high side for Korean fried chicken, especially of this quality. I wouldn't mind having ToreOre if I'm shopping at H-mart and need a quick bite but if I'm being honest it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

This was one of the first Korean fried chicken places in land in Houston years ago before the KCF craze now in full swing. Located in H-mart food court, it's convenient for those who wish to grocery shop and take home a meal. After we ordered, we visited another place for an appetizer, and while fried chicken takes awhile to cook, ours was taking particularly long. I went to check back, and our chicken and fries had been boxed, and was sitting on the counter. Bummer. We were sitting a few feet away! I wish the employee would have waved at us or something to let us know our order was ready. Despite that, the chicken was tasty. The fried were meh... neither crispy nor seasoned. Would pass on those.

I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

They make their tofu in-house, and you can really taste the difference. The soup is rich, comforting, and flavorful without tasting overloaded with MSG. It's the kind of meal that just warms your soul. We also ordered the cheese tonkatsu, and my husband got the seolleongtang. We normally aren't fans of cheese tonkatsu--in fact, we didn't even realize it had cheese in it when we ordered it--but wow... it was actually so good. Definitely a pleasant surprise. My husband's seolleongtang was amazing too. The banchan was fresh and well-prepared, and every dish we had was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect. The ladies working there were incredibly kind and even brought my husband extra noodles for his soup without us asking. That small gesture really made our experience even more memorable. Thank you so much! There's a decent amount of parking, but dinner time gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend arriving early since it's not a very large restaurant. 10/10. This is definitely one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Houston, and we'll absolutely be back.

To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken. Would suggest an appetizer as well if you want to stay full. This location does not have unlimited pickled radishes like the Spring Branch location.
