I had a change of plans this afternoon and ended up driving down Hesperian. I saw a cute little bumblebee mascot outside of a restaurant called Jollibee. I had some extra time, so why not give it a go. I was clueless to the menu. I assumed it was another burger joint. I was very surprised to see fried chicken and spaghetti. Even more surprised of the Filipino flair. I knew instantly I didn't want to try the spaghetti. It didn't look bad, i just couldn't grasp the concept of fast food spaghetti. I explained to the cashier I'd never eaten here before. She was polite and bubbly. I 1st ordered the chicken sandwich with fries, then decided to cancel that order. What's the point of trying something new, if you aren't going to try something different. So I changed my order to chicken and palabok. The location was clean. The cashier was friendly. The service was fast. It was pretty busy and there also isn't much seating. I ordered my food and stood to the side but i still felt like i was in the way because of the small space. After i completed my order i received a pager along with my receipt. Usually a pager means a wait time of 10+min, in my experiences. In this instance i got food in about 3min. My pager went off and i was passed a tray full of food greeted by smile and a thank you. It wasn't my order however. They activated the wrong pager. Oops. The chicken was good. My tastebuds say it tastes very similar to the Churches Chicken franchise. This was my 1st time having Palabok. A Filipino noodle dish. It tasty! The meal came with a side of gravy. I don't know how the gravy is traditionally supposed to be used, but i love gravy so i poured it over my palabok. The combo worked well for me. The meal was filling and flavorful. I was excited when Jollibee first opened here in 2019, and haven't been disappointed in the food quality since! I always order their 2 piece fried chicken with a side of fries and their gravy - all fried to perfection each time. I'm salivating just thinking about this! Food is worthy of 5 stars, but I am docking 1 star due to the slow service. I'd recommend ordering online for pick up. The lines in-person take quite awhile as there is usually only one cashier working at all hours of the day. Another tip is to arrive about 5 minutes after your quoted pick up time. I've tested multiple times in arriving right on time for my order, and have always needed to wait an additional 5-7 minutes during peak dining hours on weeknights. There is always plentiful parking in the lot, however the lot is very under-lit. Just be cautious walking to and from your car as I've seen hood rats lingering and definitely take your valuables with you! read more

Clean on the inside. A lot of availability for customer service. I only tried the Jollibee's in Las Vegas so since I was finally in the area from Oakland i decided I'd eat here for a quick meal. I saw everyone saying the spaghetti was better than the palabok but that's the only thing I've tried. It was pretty okay but i really like the different taste of the Palabok so I'll just stick to that in the future. I also had two chicken on the side and the peach mango pie which was extremely good and the pineapple refresher to really satisfy your meal. I paid a little over $17 so it's not too bad. Their fried chicken has two options - you can get it mild or you can get it spicy. My personal recommendation is to go with their meal option c and get the chicken spicy! For a bucket of spicy fried chicken and some peach mango pies, you definitely get your money's worth. The chicken manages to stay crispy and juicy on a drive back home and combined with rice and gravy makes the meal so satisfying. This location seems to share a space with a Seafood City supermarket. One thing that sticks out in my mind is that whether your standing inside or outside there is no fried chicken smell here like you would notice at other establishments. Great and tasty Filipino fast food. Fried chicken was moist and crunchy and I loved the al dente spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce is slightly sweet which was different and I really liked it. While there were a few folks ahead of us, we didn't have to wait long. I also got a yummy mango pie which had real mango chunks. Next to a great looking bakery and Filipino supermarket. I came to order yesterday and I had a huge order.the cashier did an amazing job getting my order however, I noticed that one of the manager had finish the food order of the person that came before me. We have been wanting to try this place for a while, once it opened near our house and after weeks of procrastinating, we finally gave it a try. It is during COVID - 19 so we didn't get the full experience but here's what we think. We pulled up in front, it's in a huge parking lot so parking is not bad at all. You have to stand outside until you can walk in to order, 5 or 6 people can be in at a time. Due to the circumstances it took a while to receive our food after ordering but it came hot and fresh. When we were ready to eat I noticed this gravy like liquid and just assumed it was there by mistake because we didn't order sides so I just put it to the side. Now for the chicken, it did not disappoint, I mean it wasn't the best ever but it's exactly what I expected with a chicken joint like this. I put honey and hot sauce on it and I loved it! Towards the end, my husband thought " maybe we should try it with the gravy " and ding ding ding DUH that's what it is for. With the gravy it was so freaking good! Who would've known there's a Jolllibee in Hayward! I've been driving to Union City until my friend let me know about this location. Located inside Seafood City Market with other food choices, Jollibee still a sticks out. This jollibee was clean and efficient. The soda machine was out of order but no one seemed to mind since they still had their pineapple juice and bottled water. One of the reasons I come is because of the pineapple juice! We ordered the C1 which is the two piece fried chicken, a side and a drink. We decided to get the mashed potatoes and the pineapple juice. What I love about their chicken is that it's crunchy on the outside and juicy and moist on the inside. I also like that they give a side of gravy to eat with your fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were a bit more buttery than at other Jollibee's but that still made it delicious. Plenty of parking which is definitely a plus. I did not realize there was a Jollibee not too far from where I live. I just happened to see it while driving past on the way to Costco and had to stop for some delish food. They took all the necessary precautions such as limiting number of people inside the store, sanitizer bottle outside for one to sanitize before walking in, no dine in, etc.. We ordered the following: Palabok with one piece chicken and drink: Good portion size of palabok with plenty of flavor. Chicken was dark meat and juicy. Gravy was included for dipping. Peach Mango Quencher drink was fruity and perfect for a hot summer day. Peach mango pie: This reminded me of the old McDonalds' crispy apple pies which they got rid of for their boring baked apple pies instead. This peach mango pie was hot, crispy skin, and bursting with peach and mangos. This was absolutely delicious! Halo-Halo: Two scoops of ice cream on top, plenty of fruit, shaved ice.. Sunday afternoon we ordered the family spaghetti, chicken deluxe, peach mango pies, pineapple drink, and chicken. All were good. The gentleman in front wore a head set and taking orders up front. It seemed that he couldn't multitask with a headset on. He kept saying, what? Oh!, then repeat what I ordered after punching it in, followed by, another what? The fried chicken is always crispy and juicy. The gravy makes the chicken of course. The spaghetti is tasty but I'm not a fan of sweet spaghetti.... However I am able to eat Jollibees spaghetti and still semi enjoy it. The chicken sandwich is pretty good; it has garlic mayo giving that garlic taste to it. The chicken was nice and plump.
