Got an email confirmation at 3:46pm on May 29 saying "Your delivery is on track!" and "Your delivery scheduled!" for that same day. No one ever showed up or contacted me. Didn't have time to call on Thursday so I called on Friday morning at 9:38am. The person I spoke to said deliveries are only made on Wednesdays and Saturdays and that someone would call me Saturday May 31 to let me know when the delivery would be ready. It's now 7pm and Ace closes at 5pm. No one has called, no delivery has been brought to the house. I REALLY wanted to give my business to someplace local, but this is ridiculous. I have cancelled my order and unfortunately won't be using this Ace Hardware in Woburn ever again. If an order is placed with a delivery day that you don't deliver on, you should contact the person placing the order and inform them of such. Extremely disappointing.

A web search turned up forum posts of people getting custom deck stain color matching at Sherwin Williams stores, so I went to the nearest one - the Reading location - where I met Dave, the store manager. Dave was fanatastic. Friendly, helpful and totally professional. He spent a few hours over two days custom mixing a stain on a sample board from my deck to a color chip of the garage finish. It looks absolutely fantastic. What a pro and what a great experience. I literally can not recommend this store and Dave highly enough!

So we bought a house in October. How crazy is that?…read more This house was extremely outdated and was just screaming for a paint job in every room of the house. Lowes, home depot, and Colorworks. Paint was bought at all three. With some things brands don't matter, but with paint, it totally does. The difference was obvious to me, not just in the finished product but also in the application process. The Benjamin Moore paint (which is sold at Colorworks) just went on easier and didn't kill my arm as much as the other two brands. The other thing I can say about Colorworks is that their fidelity to the color is much better than other places. I've never had a problem with color matching when I've had to buy a new can of paint of a color that I'd run out of. Check it out!

Almost a third of their paint samples were missing and what was there wasn't in the right place. When I asked if they had any samples of Manchester Tan out back I was told there wasn't. They weren't able to make me a sample of anything smaller than a PINT (and PS Colorworks, a pint of paint is not a sample) and they couldn't tell me when they would get more samples. The person at the cash register seemed annoyed that I was bothering him and there was a handful of people in the back laughing it up. None of them were interested in helping the customer. I can get small samples of paint anywhere and I can buy Benjamin Moore paint at most hardware stores which is where I will buy my paint in the future. I would hate to bother the employees at Colorworks with my pesky questions about paint.

Go to Home Depot and show the guy behing the paint counter a swatch of your granite countertop and ask him what color he would recommend considering you have cherry cabinetry. Then, when he's done laughing at you, go to Waters & Brown and show your granite swatch to Sam and Lauren (I think her name is.) That's what I did and they immediately both thought of the same color, Quahog. So much darker than I ever wanted to go but wow, just the right color. Then Sam suggested Oxygen (a pale blue) for the ceiling and a color called America's Cup for the trim. The America's Cup (an off white) threw my husband into fits of worry. Will it be too yellow? Will it look dirty and dingy? Sam, promised it wouldn't and explained why . . . and he was right. So right, that my husband went back and asked him what color we should paint the adjoining hall, Sam made a recommendation and my husband walked out with that color paint. This is the same husband who would gladly spend months deliberating every decision, no matter how minute!!! So it is no exaggeration when I say that Sam may have single-handedly saved my marriage, or perhaps my husband's life because I was ready to either kill or divorce him. So as we decorate our entire home over, all I can say is thank God for Waters and Brown, and thank God for Sam!!!!

We hit a few different Sherwin Williams locations and asked color and paint quality questions. We were kind of taking votes on exterior trim and accent colors and picking the brains of employees regarding a bunch of scenarios including this horrendous unrelenting humidity and how the exterior paint would fare. After an amazing experience with a Sherwin Williams Zoom Color Consultation with a enthusiastic, experienced, patient and extremely helpful gal named Aimee - we decided on the colors and just needed to purchase the paint. The assistance at the Sherwin Williams stores we had previously visited was just okay. I happened to see this Wimington location while in the area for my dentist appointment, so I stopped in. Hemant greeted me with a big smile when I walked in. You could tell he was a great guy, with great energy and he liked his job. I told him about our project and he was friendly, and helpful and so good-natured. Unfortunately, you don't see much of that these days. I asked about coupons and he explained the various sales that the store runs, he showed me discounted cans for any other projects I might want to do and told me about the diferences inthe paint qualities. I thanked him, grabbed his card and knew I would be driving way out of my way to give him my business - just like I do with my dentist. We just bought the paint today. The sales staff throughout the store were very helpful and the woman that helped us with the bed was so pleasant. But the reason that really prompted me to send this is to commend the staff that work at the climbing area. Every one of them were very kind and fun interacting with my grandsons. They were very thorough in preparing the kids. I love how they made the kids feel so comfortable and safe in their harnesses. In short you have a great group here. I hope you give them recognition they deserve.

Comes delivery day and we get a call that they cannot deliver the mattress because it was in the truck all night and it FROZE - thus being unable to fold it in half to bring it in without breaking it. Are you kidding me? What "reputable" mattress mover leaves an item susceptible to freezing in an unheated truck in an area where overnight temperatures are often below freezing? And even if it does freeze, well just ship us another one! You're big enough to be able to do that. Nope, had to be that mattress and we have to wait till it thaws. Almost comical had we not been so inconvenienced.
