    Breakfast Burrito
    Brendan R.

"Best breakfast burrito in town sign", so you know I had to try it... tried both the bacon and sausage one. For 13$ a burrito not bad value or size. Taste and quality was good, definitely a leg up from like farmer boys burritos in terms of quality and how it looked and the ingredients. Good amount of cheese and crispy hashbrowns and even distribution. Definitely a contender for best breakfast burrito locally. Phone ordering was easy for pickup and service friendly. Nice little cafe ambience diner that would be nice to eat in but we got it to go. Don't know what the negative reviews are about because my burritos were good!

Service: servers were friendly and helpful. We have 2 young children and they offered to bring our drinks to our table since they saw us with our hands full. The waitress came by 2 times for coffee refills. The restaurant looks clean and inviting, a nice casual spot for dining. Breakfast burrito: was tasty, the filings had even proportions , I could taste some nice crispy hashbrowns in there, which I love! individual rating 4/5 Omelette - overcooked and dry, there was a piece of sliced cheese thrown on top (Kraft single?) nothing special , just ok. Reminded me of a fast food restaurant omelette. individual rating: 2/5 Kids meal: basic scrambled eggs were fine, bacon was crispy which my toddler loved, and pancake was also eaten. Individual rating 3/5 We may just return for the burritos, not sure about other items!

This is the type of place that I break my diet for, once a year. I was ravenous after a long work day and this restaurant was right by my dermatologist's office. I had an hour to kill before my afternoon appointment and stopped in for lunch. The menu is standard diner fare- burgers, fries, breakfast options, and a couple of salads. I ordered one of the "John's specials" offerings, a super stuffed chicken burrito with green sauce, and half and half fries and onion rings. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, and flavorful. The meat was fresh, the veggies were crisp and juicy, the avocado was perfect. The fries and onion rings were crispy, hot and thick--- my favorite. Portions are big. I was full after a few bites and took everything home. The young man behind the counter was delightful, very polite and attentive. The decor was standard vinyl booths, plain tables, unadorned ambiance, but there is a charm to that. It was spotlessly clean, the young man who took my order was making sure all the tables were spotless, when he wasn't helping patrons, he was spraying down and wiping up tables. The restrooms were spotlessly clean, too-- the air smelled of disinfectant. Parking is plentiful and the air conditioner was powerful, a must for the insanely hot north OC days. I really enjoyed my lunch and would like to try the brunch options!

Dont really write reviews much but I felt the need to write one today. Don't waste your money they are in fact not as good as they promote or maybe I just got a bad one based off the cook. I ordered a burrito specified that's what I wanted the girl rang me up for a breakfast sandwich. Once I saw that there was no 2$ discount for a burrito I asked her about it and she said that's only for the burritos ( that's what I ordered) for some reason she misunderstood, that's fine let's correct it. She corrected my order for the cook but still charged me the price for the sandwich. Which honestly I wasn't complaining about but let her know next time in the future it creates confusion seeing as I'm charged for the wrong item. She proceeded to tell me I ORDERED THE WRONG ITEM . Mind you that the order was not processed I had not paid for it when I caught the mistake. Why she didn't correct it blows my mind. Anywho she ends up yelling at me from the register telling me I I'm Wrong and blah blah I'm getting my drink so I tell her I'm done discussing it. I'm not gonna go back and forth with someone about FOOD! It is not that serious. Anywho she said something else about well you're the one blah blah. And now im writing a review. The burrito was not worth the argument but it is worth letting people know not to waste their money

casual diner with very old-style decorations. doesn't seem like much from first glance but the food itself was better than expected. would give 3.5 stars but no half stars, so i'm giving it 4 ~Food~ avocado burger: 9/10 very solid burger. the meat was nice and juicy and there was a lot of avocado. i'm a big fan of raw onion and they put a large amount of them so it was perfect for my taste sausage and 3 eggs breakfast: 6/10 the sausages were very mediocre but the hash browns were delicious. the eggs were also standard, nothing special ~Service: ok service, servers don't seem to care much about the quality of service ~Cost: $ very affordable ~Parking: plenty of plaza parking

I'm not super familiar with German cuisine, but everything felt authentic and traditional. I ordered their popular Ruben sandwich, served hot with corned beef, sauerkraut, and a Russian dressing on rye bread. It was delicious and packed with meat and flavor. The fries that came along with it were so crispy and tasty. I also tried the breaded veal cutlet, which is a German specialty. Both dishes were very good and hearty. They also have a great beer selection on draft. I went with the Spaten Pilsner, which paired perfectly with the meal. I love that each of their beers is served in its own branded glass. It was just super filling, I wasn't able to finish everything. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to and try their various specialties (like their sausages) !

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

I took my mom here for a Mother's Day brunch and my birthday celebration because it falls around…read morethe same time every year. I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

It's a brown sugar milk tea with caramel foam with a floating frozen milk tea bear. ADORABLE!! The set even includes two house-made cookies. WOW! TASTY!! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

My breakfast biscuit was decadent and delicious. Great fried egg cooked perfectly with delicious cheese and avocado and bacon. First time I've had a perfect fried egg at a restaurant. They do it right! The Cajun seasoned tots on the side were better fresh than reheated later. Not my fave. The side of candy bacon was also very nice-- balance of sweet and spicy was great. It's served slightly chilled, but was good. The peach bellini is perfectly bubbly-- not blended. Just the way I like it! Great portion of two full glasses per order. Strong champagne. Lovely and priced right for brunch. My daughter's pancakes with warm berry compote on the side were delicious. I couldn't resist eating one since the stack was so large. Shareable for sure! And her side of bacon and scrambled eggs were delicious also. Server was fabulous. Friendly and efficient. Overall great experience. I'll definitely return soon.
