Didn't eat at the location, so I do not know the ambiance of this location, placed a delivery order. Ordered 2 meat lover pizzas and a 12 wing bbq appetizer. Ordered and food showed up to the hotel within 55 minutes of order placed. Food was a great condition, not piping hot as you would get at the restaurant, but understand delivery will lose some warmth over food. Was still warm enough to enjoy. I've been going to Johns for years. Over the past two years I noticed charges on my receipt for: service fee, convenience fee, to go fee, fee for plastic utensils. Besides that the quality is going down and the owner is rude. The food has always been great - but it is not that way anymore. Tonight I took the drive to Elizabeth, NJ with my daughters to try a pizzeria and Italian ice place in the area. Both of those places ended up being closed and I scrambled to find something to eat. It ended up being a lucky break that the other pizzeria was closed because the Trenton style pizza at John's Caffe was exceptional. Delicious tomato sauce! Cook forgot to put French Fries on my Italian Hotdog and Manager wanted pictures of my sandwich to prove I was telling the truth. She was very argumentative and refused to give me a store credit for the entire sandwich because my lunch was over and couldn't meet the delivery driver now. I don't really like my Johns, but I do like John's Caffe. Even if it does mis-spell Caffe. They have something weird called a Trenton slice which looks like a hypnotist symbol or some kind of crop circle with all the cheese and tomato in big circles. The girl here is super pretty and the pizza here is pretty good as well. She has purple nails and the guy working here (who is totally not in her league) hit on her from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. But they make good pizza so good for them. read more

Elizabeth is one of those cities that I don't spend a lot of time in. I was in the area for work and needed something to eat so I came to John's. It is a small shop with your typical pizza case but they also have sandwiches. I went with the uncle mike which had fried eggplant with proscuitto. The eggplant was legit and I feel bad saying this I didn't expect too much. The sandwich was good and it came with a tomato and cucumber salad. I also had to try the pizza for review purposes and I went with the trenton. The pizza has a thicker crust but the flavor was spot on. It was cooked just right. Solid. Staying at a nearby hotel on business decided to try a local pizza joint. Was going to uber it but it was snowing and didn't feel like venturing out into the cold and leaving my life in the hands of someone I didn't know. So we ordered delivery. I finding myself trying to be healthy ordered a salad with grilled chicken on it and my co-worker and I decided to split a pizza. We decided on a half margarita/ pepperoni and sausage. The half meat was mine, my co-worker is on some meatless Diet...but he didn't mind the pizza with meat sharing the same box as his vegan pizza which was cool... The order arrived about an hour after we placed it. The pizza was still warm but not hot. It was pretty tasty and it looked like it was made fresh, but being it got cold the crust became soft and lost its crispness.....the sauce, cheese, pepperoni and sausage were good....definitely New York style...The salad had fresh greens and the chicken on it was good. Overall not too bad for a delivery in a snowstorm. I'd give a perfect score but the pizza could've been hotter...they had it in one of those warmer bags, but it looked old like they could update it to something newer that would keep it hot...this caused the crust to become soft and lose the crisp it looked like it had...next time I'll take the uber and try it in house read more

Actually tried their tacos on Tuesday and was highly impressed, with a Luciano slice on the side. Special Note: Was having lunch there the other day and I noticed a lady drop a slice of her pizza from the table. Without hesitation the owner went to the back and brought her another slice on the house... it's these little things that make places like this special. read more

First time ordering from here, I ordered the Stella Bella panini & it was really tasty & the sandwich it's self is pretty big! My only complaint is that it's supposed to come with avocado & they only put a couple of tiny little slivers on it. I was expecting normal slices especially for what I paid for. Another cold day in jersey calls for delivery! I ordered from this place for first time based on their good reviews and pics. I ordered: 2 chicken parmigiana plates 1 Cesar salad Pros: 1.big portions! The plates came with 3 pieces of chicken each! That's very generous and garlic bread. Honestly 2 people can eat from one plate depending how hungry you are. The taste of the chicken and sauce very good and hearty. Cons: 1. My Cesar salad was a great disappointment. No Parmesan cheese! And the dressing tasted like butter. I was really looking forward to a great tasty salad.. For $6 I expected more than just tossed greens in a box with stale croutons 2. The garlic bread was just cold bread with some garlic spread on it. There prices are reasonable for their portions. I ordered online and it took 55 mins. I will definitely give this place another try by buying pizza on my next order. I paid $34 with delivery and tip. Their cucumber salad side and bean salad side are THE BEST! I've been ordering from John's for a while and they never disappoint. Won't be back in here again. Came in today (6/18/18) for lunch and loud mouth, tough guy owner (tall, combed back black hair looking guy; probably original owner's son) was in the store screaming and carrying on to his entire staff, both back house kitchen and front house staff members. He was yelling about his people not moving fast enough, not making orders fast enough and just treating everyone on the staff like complete @ssholes. I refuse to support a business and ownership when the acting owner treats his hard working staff like garbage. I'll never step foot in here again. Hopefully others will see this and do the same.
