Great pizza ... fairly crispy crust which I like and great balance of cheese and toppings. The center was a little softer but still really good. Will probably buy every time i head out of EWR had enough to enjoy some slices at home in CA.

Think it's under new management. Stopped in for bite to eat and found they have quick table service. Server was also very friendly. Salad and pizza were alright.

So, I have been eating at Bruno's for a very long time and within the last few months it was sold to new owners. Whenever that happens sadly, many restaurants either go downhill or is just not as good as they can be. I am happy to say that's not the case at Bruno's. The new owners are doing a great job of providing fantastic food! We've eaten there a few times recently and everything has been great. The pizza is delicious and they always have a variety of types of pies to choose from. The other day I had the chicken noodle soup (home made by the way) and it is as good as my families home made!! They also had chicken & rice available! This is a great neighborhood pizza place and the owners are friendly and are truly happy to have you eat there!! Enjoy!!

Fast, convenient and tasty. Great little gem for a quick delicious lunch. Their bread is incredibly fresh, their buffet always full of flavor.

I used to love ordering pizza from there (I was actually really sad when they went on vacation lol). Just got 2 regular slices and they look like they were out for 2 days! Tasted really bland and old I'm really disappointed

Mediocre pizza. Can be extremely oily sometimes. 5 stars for customer service and delivery, they are fast. But overall the pizza is good.

Really extensive menu with very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food. The spicy calamari is a must try and every entree and pasta are worth trying, too. Met one of the owners (two brothers) and this is a family run business with a benefit to the community. I will definitely come back on the next visit to Newark and would highly recommend if you're in the area (especially if you are staying at Newark airport overnight!)

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

So, I decided to give it a try for dinner. They don't accept reservations. I arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday to avoid crazy wait times, but still had to wait ~40 minutes. It didn't feel very long since the waiting area has a mobile wine/beer bar outside & you're able to order drinks from the restaurant as well while you wait. I didn't come with kids, but I saw a lot of families waiting. It was a kid friendly space. The inside was quite dim & it kept getting dimmer as the night progressed. I didn't love this, but it didn't bother me as much either. Pizza was delicious, and the bread tasted very fresh. The pictures show an individual pizza size, which we were told might not be big enough to share, but we made it work amongst 3 girls. Service was fast - I assume since they're trying to free up tables quickly. I'd recommend going at a non-peak time if you don't like to wait, but definitely worth a try even if for takeout!
