Wow, Bruno's pizzeria. The food is very good as far as what I tasted so far you'll see as far as my pictures I had gotten a spaghetti and meat sauce and meatballs that was good. I went to order today fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I got hit with a delivery charge of $3 dollars. In my mind unless you get it delivery from GrubHub or any other company that delivers food you pay service fee and so on, but to be personal delivery, you pay whatever you want. now the lady that was taking my order told me that it's $3 fee for delivery. I asked her if it's $3 or whatever I wanted she said no it's $3 I didn't find that correct I could be wrong but for me, it wasn't right just for an example, you order Chinese food delivery comes you give the delivery person $2-$4 and it's allgood.. am I wrong? read more

the customer service is amazing. However the food is horrible. this is not like the Bruno's that was here years ago. the pizza is super oily everytime and doesn't taste like Italian pizza at all. the zeppolies usually are fine. the wings are mid. i live right by this establishment and will go to bed starving before I eat there. I see they're going on a vacation soon hopefully they use this time to revamp the restaurants cooking methods so we can have the good ol Brunos like before. read more

Poor service and rude and discriminatory staff. I waited for over 10 minutes to have my order taken. The kicker was that restaurant was totally empty. The staff stood around on their phones and staring at me as I waited to place my order. Black folks be wary of this place unless you want this to happen. We put together an order for my UCC class of 4 pizzas -pepperoni, cheese, and mushroom and 2 orders of buffalo wings. The size of the buffalo wings were very tiny. I don't eat meat so I cannot speak on the taste but the other ladies who ate the wings did say they were flavorful and delicious. I ate the cheese pizza and I had the mushrooms pizza. The pizza was delicious. It was thin and tasty. Also the pizza was nice and hot upon arrival. The crust was a bit soft for my taste - was hoping for a crust that was crispier. It's a matter of preference though. The service seemed pleasant. The woman whom I spoke to on the phone was polite. The delivery man who dropped off the food was pleasant. The food was received in 40 minutes just as they advised when I called. I was quite pleased with the food and the service and will return when I'm in the area. read more

So, I have been eating at Bruno's for a very long time and within the last few months it was sold to new owners. Whenever that happens sadly, many restaurants either go downhill or is just not as good as they can be. I am happy to say that's not the case at Bruno's. The new owners are doing a great job of providing fantastic food! We've eaten there a few times recently and everything has been great. The pizza is delicious and they always have a variety of types of pies to choose from. The other day I had the chicken noodle soup (home made by the way) and it is as good as my families home made!! They also had chicken & rice available! This is a great neighborhood pizza place and the owners are friendly and are truly happy to have you eat there!! Enjoy!! read more

Absolutely love Bruno's. I have been coming here since I was a little girl and it never fails to disappoint. This is a great family run pizza shop. I was really sad when Bruno (previous owner) left but the new owners have kept the recipes the same and are just as friendly. My favorite items are plain slice of pizza or extra cheese, a ham sandwich toasted with everything on it, and the penne vodka sauce. AMAZING. When it comes to italian food, I am sort of a snob. I am super picky and compare everything to my nonna's and my mom's home cooking. Bruno's pizzeria is nothing short of amazing. I love the fact that the pizzeria is family owned and operated. They truly care about their customers and treat each customer like family. They also put their heart into everything they cook and it shows. I absolutely LOVEEEEEE the food here. Pizza is on point. Not greasy and cooked to perfection. The grilled chicken with mozzarella is one of my personal favorites. I literally could eat this all day everyday. Bruno's is also my go to for all my catering needs. I placed orders for all of my events ranging from mg bbqs to kid's birthday parties. Everyone always compliments the food! I go out of my way to get food from here and it never disappoints. This is my favorite pizza spot. This place has some of the best pizza in the area! The crust is thin, and the cheese is melted down perfectly. The slices aren't huge, but they are filling. I've been going to Bruno's since I was a kid and they've been consistent. The plain and pepperoni slices never disappoint. I've never tasted the prepared food, but everything looks good. They also sell Stewart's root beer in a bottle, a great touch. The slices are affordable and everything always taste fresh. The staff is very friendly, and they get to know their customers. You can dine in, order takeout, or get delivery. Please note: Bruno's is normally closed in the month of August because they go on vacation. read more

The personal touch of this pizzeria goes a long way. As others have mentioned, you visit this place a few times, and it starts feeling like you're family. Very friendly staff, and Bruno is the man, the local cops seem to love this place too. It can get busy because it's right down the street from Kean University, but it's hard for a pizza spot to standout in Jersey, and Bruno's does just that. Homemade authentic pizza, great sauce, and fresh toppings. I usually stick with something simple like Broccoli or eggplant, but all have been exceptional. And really, that's the mind-set you should have coming into this place, it's really nothing fancy, and because of that, I believe the quality of the food is raised. Simple menus are usually the best because it means the chef specializes in something and is confident enough to ask people to pay for it. Awesome neighborhood pizza spot... It's sort of like your mom and grandma are cooking for you. It's nothing fancy, but it is delicious and very statisfying. I had the lemon chicken, which was very tasty. It came with red-skinned mashed potatoes that were made from scratch. HOWEVER, today my boyfriend and I decided to switch it up and order some actual food from the menu...BIG MISTAKE :(... I ordered the chicken penne a la vodka and my boyfriend ordered the Philly cheesesteak... Let's being with the chicken penne a la vodka... Hmmm where to start... It literally tasted like VODKA :(!!!! I literally felt like I was getting a buzz as I was eating it... I could inhale and taste the vodka... Did the cook spill half the bottle by mistake ??? Horrible...I tried to douse it down with Parmesan and salt and it was just a huge disappointment ... The Philly cheesesteak was not great but definitely not the worst..: they just use this weird steak patty meat, that literally messed up the whole thing ...
