Will not go anywhere else. If you are unhappy you can always state this and they will fix whatever it is. I travel a lot and wait until I am back in NY to get there and have my nails done

I've been here before to get my eyelashes done and I was very pleased with how they came out that I decided to come back and this time get a mani and pedi. They did excellent with timing.. I was impressed especially for it being a Saturday afternoon. The lady who did my pedi and nails did an awesome job. Took her time and was precise. Loved that the pedi chairs are couches and covered for every guest with sanitary paper. Someone came over with a drink menu and I ordered a mimosa served in a nice disposable cup. I loved the overall cleanliness and precaution taken here. I got my lashes done with Casey-she was also amazing! However, when I went to pay I looked at my receipt and they charged me $30 for chrome!!! $30?!? For you to rub powder on my nail? I was beside myself. That is absolutely ridiculous. I told the lady who was ringing me up. Had I known it was $30 I would of never done it. I wish she would told me prior to doing it.

Over priced super expensive for terrible service I was forced to do a gel set Wasn't even told about the price on my nails when I did Not want to I've had them for about a week and they are already chipped and cracked. I wish I could get my money back I spent 200 $ on terrible service just for a gel pedicure and a gel set on my nails

Very last minute I called this Nail Salon for a Gel Manicure. It was my first time, I was a walk in client. I was greeted when I arrived and taken care of. Vicent did a wonderful job. Service was 10/10. It was quick & Vicent was very precise and careful with my manicure. They take cash or cards as payment & also have an ATM inside. I would recommend this place!

After one week this is what my gel looks like. I have never ever had a gel manicure look like this after 1 week. It was my first visit here and It will be my last. Oh and it's expensive! She charged me 35 which should of been 25, little sneaks

I used to go to Johnny's years ago before I moved. I've been so unhappy with every other nail salon I've tried that I've decided to just make the trip to Johnny's (now on Northern instead of Francis Lewis). And I've been so happy ever since. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Annie usually does my nails and she really does a great job. My acrylics stay on for over a month sometimes (they'd probably stay on longer if I let them), they've never broken and the polish still looks fantastic. The place is really nice inside and it's very clean. The prices are fair and the work is always beautiful. Happy I decided to come back!

Ladies working there were nice, it was a bit hectic, and also hot when I went last week on Tuesday. I got a standard gel mani and gel pedi, the colors came out very nicely. The lady I had, I believe her name is Jessica, was super sweet and did a pretty good job but she nipped the skin of my pinky nail and it started bleeding. Which is OK I guess. Secondly, after a week into the treatment the skin around my nails are frayed (I'm not sure if that's normal but it's quite worrisome). Nonetheless she did help me get my money out of my wallet and also helped me buckle my sandals as to not ruin her work. It's a bit pricey here, I paid a total of $72 for the gel mani and gel pedi. $12 for tip! Breaking down the pedicure, I wish she scrubbed my foot a bit more? I know it's asking a lot, to do that on someone's feet's but you are paying for it right- and that should come with the treatment. The pedicure consisted of a very brief lavender powder foot soak, a sugar scrub, and lotion which is total lasted 5 minutes. From there they do your toe nails. It also seemed like the place wasn't as organized and there were many ladies waiting for a esthetician to free up (some were in the middle of their treatment)

Best nails and service!! I was looking for a new nail spot close to home. Johnny's had amazing reviews and they did not disappoint. I made an appointment and when I walked in I was taken care of immediately, no wait. Pedicure was quick and though there is no massage chair, it was extremely comfortable. They use the bag to cover the foot bath which I appreciate. I got acrylic tips with gel polish. I showed them a picture of what design I would like and they switched me to Susan who would be able to accomplish it. She did an outstanding job!!! I would say she is an artist and will be back for some more of her intricate art work. Plus: as a new customer they give you a pumice and foot scrub to take home.

This is a fantastically run business. They have monthly specials for their pedicure selection which feels like a true spa experience. Always clean, professional, and easy to book. My lashes are always on point and I receive compliments no matter how long ago I've had them done. Even if my favorite tech is unavailable because they're already booked I can trust that my lashes will come out great with anyone else as they've all had great training. 11/10 every time!

Came here for mother's day with my bf and his mom. The place was crazy busy!! I was a little worried they wouldn't be able to accomodate our appointments but we did get taken after a few minutes. No problems whatsoever with their regular mani pedis. I got a gel mani pedi with some nail art. I was bummed because I had been growing out my nails for some nice nail art, but broke one of my nails literally two days before my appointment. Still, I went with short nails to see what they could do with a simpler inspo pic. Overall - good. They were nice and I like the salon itself. I do think I could've been more proactive in saying I wanted a different overall color for my mani than my pedi (I thought just showing my inspo pic would indicate that the base color of my manicure should've been different, but that's kinda my fault!) I asked for a simple design so they switched me to someone who could do it - it came out pretty good, and I'm happy they made it work with my shorter nails. I'm not very picky as long as it resembles the inspo. The bad: I feel like my manicure overall was lacking? My tech didn't really cut my cuticles, hands were dry, etc. They did all the things I expected for a pedi so it was weird that my mani was so lacking. I think it was just due to being so busy. The other con is that my thumbnails are kinda messily done, one just looks a little off and the other is a little streaky. I will say though I LOVE how my pedicure came out. Perfect nail shape and coloring and I noticed the tech put a lot of care into it. Overall I will come back when my nails are long for a more complex nail design to see what they do with it.

    One week later.

8-30-2020 I really wanted to like this place, I mean I did a week ago. I originally went to this salon one week ago & got a fill in by Annie. The whole time, staff is conversing about how the last nail tech (different salon) did the application of acrylic & it's thin. Okay, so I'm thinking stop complaining & put on more acrylic how your salon does it. Moving along, Carina (owner?) does my little flower design, bill is $70 for a fill-in with a basic design. I tipped Annie $8 & Carina $5. 9-6-2020 Called the salon, because the night before, two acrylic tips snap off. I go in at 3PM, Annie fixes both nails as she talks about it in her language. She tells me it's because the acrylic was thin, okay like I said before, so put more? That's the point of a fill in, you fill in ACRYLIC. I inquired about policy if it happens to other nails, she's giggling & saying come back in & they'll fix it but starts chatting about how the nail was thin. I'm not even laughing, your customer service skills suck. today? my thumb nail tip broke off & not even worth calling back. I'll just take my money else where. My last technician did acrylic differently, but my nails never broke & a fill in never costed me $70 that wasn't worth it. You can delete my customer card because I'll never be back. DESPITE the owner's comment, I went into the salon ASKING both last week & yesterday for their suggestion. I obviously didn't have an issue spending money so once again, stop lying because I was never TOLD i needed a new set I was suggested to get one upon my return. Which would've been two weeks from LAST Sunday. However, my response still stands due to the fact that customer service would've explained that I needed a new set & that's what I would've gotten.

First off, the salon is down a flight of broken concrete steps that are a tripping hazard and it is drafty and cold inside with no nice touches. I added on a service of callus removal - $15, not cheap. It was subpar, I've never seen a rasp used in any of the dozen salons I've used over the years, and the actual removal was not good. Maybe 50% of the callus was removed. Most salons have nail drying oil and saran wrap at the pedicure drying station for customers to use. This one did not. When I asked for saran, the nail tech wrapped it so haphazardly (like she had never done it before), that I ended up with marks from the saran all over my nails. Do NOT recommend.

Extremely Disappointed After 2+ Years of Loyalty -- Very Money-Hungry Business That Doesn't Value…read moreCustomers My sister and I have been loyal, consistent clients at this salon for over two years. Sadly, our recent experience has shown that they care more about money than treating their customers with basic respect and professionalism. I sent a deposit to secure an appointment, clearly expecting it to go toward the booking. At no point did I say it was a tip. The owner had previously canceled on me last minute, and I was understanding. Instead of asking for a refund, I chose to reschedule. When rescheduling, I was told a time with no clarification of AM or PM. Since I asked for the earliest slot, I assumed AM. I traveled from Brooklyn to Queens early in the morning and waited 45 minutes without a single response to my texts or calls. Hours later, I was finally told to come back. Frustrated but still loyal, I canceled other plans and returned--only to be offered a free manicure to make up for the mix-up. That day, my Uber costs alone were over $100--more than the cost of the service. Given all the inconvenience, I chose not to leave a tip, which is well within my rights as tipping is optional. I usually always tip, but not after that experience. Later, I was refused service completely--because I wanted to apply the deposit I had already sent toward a new appointment rather than let them keep it as a tip. Denying a loyal customer over something so small and unjustified is beyond unprofessional. This business lost two long-time clients over a situation that could've been resolved with basic communication and decency. If you value your time, money, and being treated with respect--go elsewhere And I'm happy you responded the way you did because you only proved my point more of how viewed your customers as optional and I wasn't valued as a customer after 2 years of loyalty and consistent tipping !

Make sure to call to secure a spot, as they can easily get booked! The place is cash only, with tax if you Venmo/Zelle. The place was very chill, with the nail techs chatting with each other throughout my experience while they casually work their magic. I got the Gel Manicure ($40). They started off asking me to pick a color from a selection of books. Then the nail tech asked what shape I wanted, and began filing, shaping, and trimming my cuticles. Note to self and other nail newbies that nails need to grow out super long if you want square gel nails, to prevent the gel from touching your skin. The process was overall very relaxing, and fascinating for me to see the amount of care the lady puts into perfecting my nails. The process took around 1 hour 30 minutes, and even with my first time nails, the lady was chill and accommodated with patience, tips, and skill in making the gel manicure work on my short nails. Both my friend and I were very satisfied. My friend had the Regular Manicure ($15) and she noted how they added a finishing nail enamel spray, which other places don't do. This place left me with serious buyer's remorse--I regretted my decision to come here and even more so after paying so much. During my pedicure, the nail tech scrubbed my foot so aggressively with the exfoliating tool that she cut the underside of my toe. She seemed to realize it too, because she noticeably used less pressure on the other foot. I didn't notice the cut right away, but felt a sting afterward and saw the injury. When I pointed it out, she apologized--but said nothing in the moment and had me put my foot back into the water, which is a major hygiene concern and increases the risk of infection. I asked when I arrived if they accepted cards and was told yes, but the additional card fee wasn't mentioned until checkout. That kind of information should be disclosed upfront--especially given that their prices are already on the higher end. I also got acrylic extensions, which were really mediocre. The length was inconsistent (as shown in my pictures), the application was thick, and the finished result looked like I already had them on for a week--she didn't apply the product close to the cuticle line, which left an obvious gap. The total came out to about $180 for a gel pedicure and acrylic manicure, and unfortunately, the quality just didn't match the price. They're charging premium rates for subpar work. (Keep in mind I wouldn't mind the price if it actually looked good and they did not give me a cut on my foot) Definitely won't be returning, and I WOULD NOT recommend this place to others.
