Spicy Houston and Fries
Sarah P.

The fries taste like Sodexo fries, they aren't bad. Our server was nice which was good. The burger was so incredibly dry and lacked all flavor. Terrible burger, probably one of the worst, and for the price, that's ridiculous. This place is definitely not what it used to be.

Stopped in here for a quick bite while walking around in Gatlinburg. I hadn't seen a Johnny Rockets in years so I was super stoked!! The burgers were as delicious as I remembered, but the fun just wasn't there. I remembered the music playing and the servers dancing and having fun, but here there just wasn't much of that at all. Our service was good, but the servers seemed to just be going through the motions. Which is fine, but it just wasn't the Johnny Rockets that I remembered. You still get the cute ketchup plate though One thing that sort of was really weird was that they had a "photographer" taking photos of all of the customers. Of course, they later come to your table trying to sell you the photos that they took. I wasn't a big fan of that.

Cheeseburger and fries

I haven't been in many years prior to going this time and the food is still the same but the atmosphere is not. I went while vacationing in town and wanted a good burger. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries. It was cooked perfectly and was tasty as usual. The waitress was super kind and helpful. Another lady came up to take our picture and we didn't mind. Later she came back trying to sell us a $30 low quality picture. We respectfully declined and she asked again. I felt she was a little too pushy with the issue. I continued to finish my food and left. I noticed it wasn't the same fun place it used to be when staff danced around.

We tried the Rocket Single and Grilled Chicken Club Salad.

Thales, our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He was always openly concerned about how we were doing all the while not being to overbearing. I would highly recommend coming here and trying their food. Our favorite is the Oreo milk shake.

Thin greasy burger with ample fries

Food and service was average. We ducked in to get out of hurricane rain for a bite to eat. The AC was cold which made us shiver from being drenched from the rain. We were worse for wear when a photographer came to the table and wanted to take our pictures for an up sale. We politely declined as our hair and clothing was wet despite umbrellas. The food was ok, the burgers were thin and greasy, but filling. We got ample fries for our side. We had to send back my daughter's meal after explaining a food allergy of citric acid to our server and the sandwich arriving with mustard on it which has the ingredient in it. We felt like the staff was irritated by the inconvenience that it had to be remade ( despite the restaurant being practically empty) and we wound up apologizing to them multiple times as a result. We could see the staff talking about it with irritation and disgust as the kitchen area is open. Quality restaurants which care about the customers would have a kitchen staff visit a table with an allergy- no send a photographer to make more money off them. We've eaten at multiple Johnny Rockets in the past, including King of Prussia, etc. so we were quite disappointed by the experience at this location. It felt like the staff at this Gatlinburg location didn't care for their jobs and the customers were an inconvenience. The price for this experience was not worth it. This location for us was a once and done. My recommendation would be to visit Puckett's in Pigeon Forge if you're looking for an incredible burger and professional experience- at about the same price, if not a fraction less. I gave 2 stars because of the fries and milkshake. The burgers were ok and it was a place to get out of the rain. I would not recommend this experience for anyone wants a positive vacation memory and will not be returning in the future.

Root beer float, Shirley temple :)

Visited while walking the strip, our server Simon made it our best experience of the night! Despite the bustling atmosphere of Gatlinburg, he had a positive and attentive attitude and made sure we had everything we needed and more! Our drinks were made with love and our food was great too! :)

They literally have every fast food and chain dining experience on one block, but I didn't know that at the time but I'm tired of road trip Food so wanted to sit down for a good meal! Pulling into the parking lot and I was overwhelmed because it was huge and very crowded! We go to the desk and they tell us 25 minutes. This place was huge and very accommodating, they were getting people to their tables fast! We noticed two empty seats at the bar, so we opted to take them and had the pleasure of being served by Robert. He was attentive, made sure our waters were always full. He gave recommendations on his favorite dishes and was all around a great bartender! The guy working the other end of the bar was equally as professional. The ambience is a dark cool vibe, little trendy but people were dressed pretty casually! Answer the most important thing...The food! For an app, we got the beer, cheese fondue that came with apples, bread and pretzels. The beer cheese had a little bit of ooomph to it, which was refreshing because usually I'm not a big mustard person. The pretzel bites were incredible crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apples were fresh all around the appetizer for 3 to 4 people so we took extra home. I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin cooked, medium with the web sweet potatoes and a side Caesar salad for a three dollar charge which ended up being a full-size salad! It was super fresh and gigantic for a side salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, in the middle with an insane sear. Their house, butter that they put on it truly elevated the flavor profile. I tried the sweet potatoes mashed and they were enjoyable, but I do not enjoy a sweet side with my food so I knew I was going to donate them to my husband and he said they were incredible, the flavor was definitely there just not my cup of tea, but I knew that from the beginning . He got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken! It had so much flavor and tastes incredible but yet melted in your mouth it was the most tender chicken I've ever had in my life, and the flavor was all there! Not even the slightest bit of any kind of dryness. One of the best bites of chicken I've ever had.! He ordered the bison meatloaf to go, and that comes with caramelized mashed potatoes and fried onion straws.... It smells incredible and I will update when we try it . * UPDATE: best meatloaf ever!!! Based on the quality/ experience on a very busy night- everything was phenomenal and I will return. Service 10/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Value 5/5

There was tons of yummy corn, beef, brisket, and they were nice enough to put my thousand island on the side because the sandwich is huge. I couldn't finish it there. The potato salad I ordered on the side was delicious, it had some bacon in it, and it was more savory forward in it, Amish style potato salad that has some sweet relish. Which I enjoyed a lot! Now the sandwich wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it, and we luckily got some seating and some rest from the rain while enjoying our really good food! My boyfriend got the Cuban, he was a bit worried because he hadn't had the sandwich before, but I knew he would like it so I ordered it for him and someone ate their entire sandwich (not me) so let that speak for itself! They make sure to pile those sandwiches high with meat, and they move so quickly our food came out, not even 10 minutes after we put our orders in and we were starving so it was much appreciated after walking the strip in Gatlinburg. It is tucked away a bit from the main road, but if you walk back, you'll see it, there's a bit of indoor seating, ample outdoor seating, but you just have to help the weather agrees with you. It's really active because the amount of people hoping to try the sandwiches, and it seems like they do happen to run out of the meat for the platters and what meat is left, they prioritize using it on the sandwiches.

Our experience was that the food was decent, but did not love up to the broad hype. Service was decent, they were able to take a to-go order over the phone (no online ordering). Unfortunately, one of our sides was completely missed. The food also was over hyped in our opinion. The Reuben was a ton of sauerkraut and Russian dressing with not an equivalent amount of meat. The Cubano was also impressive but dry.

I told the waiter it was my son's birthday- but we didn't even get a dessert or anything because by the time our food was there- my son was exhausted and I was losing him. Soup was extremely salty, as was the sun dried tomato sauce. My filet was fine. Nothing special, and it was a bit tough. My son and I are here for the week for his birthday gift. He loves steak so I thought a nicer steak house would be special for him. Mom and son time- but honestly, I wish we had grabbed McDonald's and called it a night. $83 and one of the worst experiences I've had in awhile. The other waiter who was too busy to take us kept coming over and making odd comments to my son- and he hid by the last time. It was just strange. My son was pretty weirded out by that guy. Ha. Again, our waiter who took over was so kind- but the ship was sinking around him. He's probably the only reason I didn't call over the manager. Or it could have been we just wanted to get out of there at a certain point. I really am regretting not calling the manager now- because that $83 I paid will haunt me on a trip with a struck budget.
