Living in an area that doesn't have Long John Silver's close by, it's always a must to visit one on roadtrips. Naturally, I made a pretty decent order, especially because they had a deal on their entrees for $2 with a minimum purchase. Let's just say I had enough leftovers for two days. I know, I'm greedy when it comes to LJS. It probably also makes me look worse when I mention that this was on Christmas Eve (which I normally do not shop at businesses during holidays). But here we are. The drive thru employee was beyond friendly and kind. She wished us a Merry Christmas. Because my order was ridiculously large, we did have to wait a little bit, especially because we got there right when they opened. The food was hot and fresh and the employees loaded our bag with sauces, napkins, and utensils. Everything tasted great, too! 10/10! Lindsey was constantly on the move throughout the dining room cleaning and stocking and checking on customers. ok. decided to try. beem past it like 10 times as we are going into pigeon forge and gatlinburg taking the main st from Sevierville. wife and I decided to do it. decided to grab and go since we were trying to utilize our time in the cabin. we had avocados fries which we highly recommend. we had bang bang shrimp. which we super recommend. then we also had fish and chips. WELL. that turned out to be 2lbs of fries and 5 damn fish nuggets that were no bigger then an iPhone stacked side by side. what a huge waste. all that was over 40$ bucks for a to go order. all in all. 4 out of 10 since we are huge fish fry ppl during lent. another note. if you like fish fries during lent. then don't go to pigeon forge during this time. will not find anything anywhere. including any local churches. looked online for hrs and hrs. read more

I've visited this location several times over the course of a decade. If you haven't read my previous reviews of LJS, this one is no different. LJS is a hidden gem of golden deep-fried goodness. Unlike most locations I visited this one was bustling with business. I ordered the fish, chicken, and shrimp with a side of clams and extra crumbs. The inside of my mouth felt wrinkled after I finished. My hands felt twice as large from all the sodium and I could feel my heartbeat in my fingertips. I've never felt so alive. Stopped in for a quick lunch and wow, this is the best long johns we have been to in a long time. I wish I caught the woman's name behind the register, but she was on top of everything. Super friendly, brought out our order before we were even done getting drinks. She was making sure things were out quickly and was circling the dining room helping and interacting with customers. Visiting the Gatlinburg area and stopped here for lunch. We got a family meal with 12 pieces of fried fish, and added an order of clam strips and drinks. The family meal came with 3 large sides and we got French fries, Mac n cheese and cole slaw. It also came with hush puppies. I loved the fish - it was crispy and slightly salty. Yummy with hot sauce and tartar sauce. The cole slaw was fresh and cold and crisp. I have to say that the staff is super friendly and courteous. They are so friendly that even if the food was just ok, I'd go back. Kudos to whoever did the hiring - your staff is wonderful :) They have Pepsi products, not Coke products - but I like everything so it didn't matter. For you hardcore Coca Cola product fans - just get sweet tea. Hee hee. Also, the senior citizen ladies in front of us got meal deals. I think it was a side, one filet (chicken or fish) and hush puppies for $3.99. I just love the fish at this place. I have been here a couple times since coming to the area. The restaurant is clean and always well kept. The staff at this location are friendly and fast to get your order done. On my last visit I went in with my son. He had the kids fish and he ate the whole thing. I ordered the fish and chicken and it came with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. The food was cooked fresh and came out super hot. I always get a side of clams with my orders and they always come out hot and crispy just like I like them. read more

On vacation and had to stop in since the nearest LJS from my town is a few hours away and I grew up eating their hush puppies. My group decided to dine in since we were out running errands. For a fast food place, the restaurant was in amazing shape. The cleanest tables and floors I have ever seen. The staff was beyond nice. Brought the food to our table and would stop by every now and again to make sure we were doing fine. The entire time we ate the staff was cleaning or restocking the soda fountain/ napkin station. My favorite part of the staff was they were normal. They were not robots who only did their work and discussed work related stuff. They told stories and held normal conversations. They were human and social with their guests. Now I am not from around here, but I have been told many workers around here have to drive incredible lengths to get to work. If that is true about these workers, they all deserve raises because they all act as if they genuinely love where they work. That is rare in this day and age. When we and everyone else in the restaurant departed and we rang the bell, they all genuinely thanked us and looked happy. I rated my experience four stars solely because of the food. The food was great for the most part but the hush puppies were a little burnt and tasted as if the oil needed to be changed. Now I am sure if I mentioned it to the staff they would have definitely given the table more but due to time I did not mention it. Visited on vacation from Buffalo NY. We don't have any Long John Silvers anymore. The staff were very friendly and the food was done immediately.
