Cute little storefront with souvenirs and some high quality local products! Stopped in to get water halfway thru our Smokey mountain visit. Food was wayyy better than expected. Just got burgers and hot dogs! Burgers were very flavorful and I think I've fallen in love with the pale hot dogs of the south! Staff were soooo friendly read more

In a tourism town, this is a place to go for supplies instead of the hotel lobby. Need to stop here if you don't venture far enough to get to a Publix. read more

Great quick bite and very cost effective. More sandwich than I needed. Ordering process is weak and could use help. However the people are like your family when you walk in. Cool place when your passing though the national park. Feels like an old store from the 80s and nothing has changed. read more

Old Dad's General Store - Club sandwich - Delis Near Me - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

We stopped in Old Dad's to grab sandwiches to take on a picnic. But it was almost lunchtime so we decided to just eat there. We got our sandwiches hot. A turkey and cheese, and a club. Here's the thing, it was basic sandwiches. But sometimes a well made basic sandwich really hits the spot. And these did. So it was a good lunch, decent price (considering where we were). If you need to get a picnic together definitely check it out. read more

This place came in clutch for me. I was staying at a lodge 5 mins walk away and really just wanted a salad and a beer after a long day of hiking. Most restaurants in the area have more fatty foods or the salads are really expensive, so I came here and got a simple, filling $10ish salad and a $3 can of beer. It was JUST what I wanted. They had tons of other stuff too including deli items for order eg sandwiches and pizza, and of course your standard small grocery store stuff like bread and jam, candy, etc. Glad this place is where it is - it helped me a lot! read more

It was fine, it had some souvenirs and an OK selection of beer and snacks. The fresh breakfast biscuit sandwiches were OK, but the biscuits and gravy were pretty good. read more

We were having trouble finding anywhere to eat breakfast, that didnt have a 2hour wait , we bumped in to old dads , and they were our saving grace !!!!! Service was great and helpful, owner super nice !! Breakfast sandwiches were amazing !!!!! We had bacon eggs and cheese sandwich and a tenderloin egg and cheese !! Both amazing ! Thanks and compliments to cook- DESTANY , you did a great job !!! They have everything from fire starter logs to boiled peanuts , definitely adding to my go to spots in gatlinburg read more

Old Dad's General Store - Delis Near Me - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

This is the place to stop if you need anything!! From items for your room/cabin, to food, or gifts. This was our first time stopping in but it will not be our last! My husband and I commented that we should have gone to Old Dad's as opposed to stopping at Kroger for a few items the day before. And the prices are very reasonable as well! If you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast or lunch sandwich, this is the place to stop as well! If we had not already had our name on a waitlist for breakfast nearby, we would have ordered a bite from here... there's always another day though. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. read more

Seemed like what a bodega at a ski resort would look like. Some beer, probably the only thing the cycles through here, and then a motley and dusty assortment of very random stuff. Nothing I needed. read more

You can find souvenirs and quick grab necessities at this shop. Bug spray, bear protection, paper products, candy.. you name it. Conveniently located in Gatlinburg downtown. There's some hot pizza slices sold here if you need a quick bite. Prices are very fair. read more

Cool; fast and affordable option to pop in and have a snack in the midst of all the 2 hour waits in Gatlinburg

I've been going to old dads for many years, and always had a good experience, but recently had read some really bad reviews of the place. I was in gatlinburg for the last week, and went in despite the recent bad reviews. I like to get a six pack to drink in our hotel room, but again, had seen reviews saying their beer prices were outrageous and service was rude. Anyway, I went to the beer section, expecting to be shocked by the prices, but found that it was priced pretty much the same as it always had been. The first night there, I just bought a couple of singles, a 24 oz yuengling that was around $4, and a 24 oz natural light, that was around $3.50. The ladies at the counter were friendly as always, although they are very strict about ID'ing anyone purchasing alcohol. I was in the store three other times throughout the week, and each time, beer prices were not at all out of line for a tourist town, and service was courteous and friendly. read more

I'm giving 2 stars for the ease of parking and the friendliness of the lovely staff. I was looking forward to ordering from the deli bar as I like to enjoy my sandwich at the top of the hiking trail. However the sandwiches we got were generally pretty underwhelming. Especially the breakfast sandwich which was make of seemingly extremely processed ingredients. We were expecting fresher products for the price. read more

Old Dad's General Store - BLT - Delis Near Me - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Solid option for a grab & go breakfast right near the entrance of the Smoky Mountains We were craving breakfast but wanted to skip the lines at all the breakfast joints in town, this general store came to the rescue! ---breakfast sandwich on biscuit: small but hit the spot! The hubby almost wanted to come back our second day in town read more

we spent a lot of time at ODGS during our recent trip to gatlinburg. we stocked up on our essentials here (snacks, sandwiches, drinks etc) before entering the park. the prices are fair and the folks working there are very nice. def a great resource for basic provisions. read more

Had breakfast sandwiches that were very good. Fun and practical merchandise. Would definitely return next time we arein the area.

Should be called Grumpy Old Dad's. Went in to have a hot dog and fries like is in the online menu. So disappointed- they don't have the menu that is shown and gentleman at counter was super hateful. read more

Great stop for a quick bite or to pick up supplies in Gatlinburg. We stopped here for a lunch snack while walking Gatlinburg. Order your main and side items at the cafe. Wander the store for additional sides (chips, candies, etc) as well as drinks. Pay for it all at the front counter. Everyone in our party gobbled up their items made at the cafe. Definitely good food! Staying in the area and need something? Stop here. They likely have it. read more

Old Dad's General Store - Grilled Cheese and Chili Cheese Tater Tots - Delis Near Me - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Expensive. Not much of a selection either. A bag of tator tots was $12.99. Didn't try the fresh food because they stopped serving when I arrived. But it did not look desirable based on the environment. Just a place that takes advantage of tourists. read more

$21 for 2 redbulls and a pack of smokes (12oz Rebull was $4.29). I get its tourist town, but Geesh! Unless you want something specific, grab your snacks from a gas station or something. We've been going to Old Dad's since it opened many years ago in Gatlinburg. It was our go-to spot for fresh made breakfast and lunch deli sandwiches as well as fun fresh snacks, granola bars etc. Old Dad's is now under new ownership. The prices are ridiculously high!!!! They no longer offer their 10% off military discount. One of the worst changes, they no longer have their made-to-order sandwiches. They used to have cute little eatery inside with tables and chairs, and this is gone as well. If you want fresh made sandwiches, I suggest going elsewhere. Like many things in Gatlinburg, the new ownership made poor changes that affect pricing and quality dramatically. read more

This was our source for sandwiches to take out hiking in the Park. We needed to pick up early, and could only hope the sandwiches could stand up to a morning of hiking. They did! Try the roast beef with some mayo, pickles and onions on rye. Maybe it was hunger from the hike, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. We had (for once) come pretty well prepared with other snacks, the 10 essentials, etc, but this cute place has supplies and a fun selection of old-time candy. Very friendly and open early! read more

I really enjoyed Old Dad's as one of the highlights on our tour through the area. The entire downtown area is touristy, Old Dad's included. As others have noted, Old Dad's is themed after an old time general store. They've done a good job accomplishing the feel of an old time store. While being in tourism central, the place maintains reasonable prices for the small grocery list. There is a deli counter to boot that actually serves really good sandwiches/burgers at a pretty good price. The guys working behind the counter were personable and made our food quickly. There are a few places to sit inside or a picnic table outside. Our family of four was able to get 2 burgers, hotdog, deli sandwich and tater tots for under $25. Old Dad's is on the edge of downtown and just seemed to have a little less hustle & bustle in relation to the rest of the area. read more

The store is fun, so many hidden treasures. We didn't even visit last trip though. This was our go to place for picnic food on our way to hike but the cook was mean, very mean and made everything wrong and when we asked if we had the right order. We had 14 incorrectly made sandwiches but she got very upset and didn't fix it. We ordered what was on the menu, nothing special and she made all different things. So this trip we didn't even go in. Side note the chips are crazy yummy! read more

Food! I had no idea there was food. I stopped in to just check out the store. I am glad I did. I ordered a simple go to sandwich, burger and fries. Food was very good. Quick service. Clean store. Professional staff. Stop in grab a sandwich and check out the store. Enjoy! read more

We almost didn't walk in, but we're glad we did. The store is a lot bigger (deeper) than it looks. They have a deli sandwich section which we were glad to discover, as in the next couple of days we will be wanting sandwiches and hoped that we could get something different than Subway. We bought some snacks for our short trips in the smoky mountains. Our only negative was the cashier who checked us out. ZERO personality. We thanked HIM for taking our money . A little odd - I don't think he was trained on customer service! read more

You need liquor. They got it. I like the sign. Good parking. Chill spot. Good enough selection.

I expected more of a selection of groceries however, they did have a pretty good pizza to go if you're just looking for a quick bite.

We were spending the afternoon hiking and wanted to grab some quick sandwiches before we headed back out so we thought we would try Old Dad's and I'm so glad we did! Located in a country store, you order at the counter. The people who work there are awesome! Super friendly and talkative. We all stood in line when we got there and ordered our food. There was a quite a bit of a line, but it went quickly. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich with tator tots. Others in our group ordered chili, fried green tomatoes, BLT and grilled cheese. All the comfort food staples! Our food arrived quickly! We decided to eat in vs taking it out. There were several tables inside the store where we could eat. The tuna sandwich was so good. Really fresh and just tasty! Everyone else enjoyed their food too. My favorite part of the trip wasn't the food, actually. It was when the manager or maybe the shift leader told all the cooks that they had done a good job knocking out 10+ orders quickly. It was so refreshing to hear someone say that so publicly. We actually clapped when she said it. :) Definitely stop in for a sandwich and enjoy good food and a positive vibe! read more

And the award for the worse service and worse sandwich goes to this place !!!! My husband and I came here today for lunch after hiking rainbow falls ! We walked up to the deli and the lady just stood there looking at her cash register not saying a word - it was very awkward! After a few minutes we asked if we could order some sandwiches and she said yeah ! It was awkward and you could tell she didn't like her job ! The sandwiches my Husband and I ordered were just dry - plain - missing most the ingredients I was supposed to get - then we went to pick up a few drinks and a bear salt and pepper shaker and both girls behind the counter were miserable as well especially the pregnant one ! Do not recommend- being a local and new to the area we won't come back - horrible service - sandwiches were the worse sandwich we have ever had and prices were unreasonably high - so many choices to choose from in this area and I wouldn't choose this place ever again! read more

Popped in for lunch. Got a couple sandwiches. Bread was stale and they left stuff we ordered off of them. Super disappointing.... The people were nice, tho! Maybe just a bad day. Also the potato salad had bacon in it, we were surprised to find. Bummer since neither of us eat pork :/ read more

We stopped to buy some sandwiches and snacks for a morning hike based on recommendations. My husband and I split a club sandwich, which was amazing, and we purchased a PBJ for our toddler. I thought there were a lot of fun souvenirs and helpful supplies--I absolutely recommend this store! read more

Simple. Fast. Good. Those are the three words that come to mind after my lunch. Stopped here in he middle of a long day of hiking for a quick meal before heading back on the trail. The menu is pretty straight forward - sandwiches, burgers and fried stuff. None of the sides are homemade but they hit the spot. My turkey sandwich was piled high with meat and Ioved that the staff asked if I wanted it toasted. In a busy store that small question meant a lot. They also have a lot of general store "stuff" to round out the meal. They also have free parking- a plus where parking is a premium. Belliesfull we headed out for our afternoon hike. read more

We visited a couple of weeks ago for breakfast.... Food was pretty good. Staff-super unfriendly.... We did give it a second try and stopped in for drinks, etc before heading into park. Staff-still unfriendly. They look absolutely miserable!
