Good old fashion sandwich .. it was very good and everything was fresh. Service was fine. A bit pricey $34 for 2 sandwiches and chips.

Just a small portion of the store

This is the place to stop if you need anything!! From items for your room/cabin, to food, or gifts. This was our first time stopping in but it will not be our last! My husband and I commented that we should have gone to Old Dad's as opposed to stopping at Kroger for a few items the day before. And the prices are very reasonable as well! If you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast or lunch sandwich, this is the place to stop as well! If we had not already had our name on a waitlist for breakfast nearby, we would have ordered a bite from here... there's always another day though. The staff was very friendly and helpful too.

I'm giving 2 stars for the ease of parking and the friendliness of the lovely staff. I was looking forward to ordering from the deli bar as I like to enjoy my sandwich at the top of the hiking trail. However the sandwiches we got were generally pretty underwhelming. Especially the breakfast sandwich which was make of seemingly extremely processed ingredients. We were expecting fresher products for the price.

Cool; fast and affordable option to pop in and have a snack in the midst of all the 2 hour waits in Gatlinburg

You need liquor. They got it. I like the sign. Good parking. Chill spot. Good enough selection.

I expected more of a selection of groceries however, they did have a pretty good pizza to go if you're just looking for a quick bite.

It is a small veteran owned business that has been serving the 11 million annual visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains for the past twenty years. My friend's hiking boots literally fell apart on the mountain so we stopped in to check out what kind of hiking boots they had. Prices seemed reasonable and they had a good selection. A salesperson spent some time talking to my friend and showing her the differences between the boots. In addition to hiking boots they carry anything a day hiker could need or want. They had a large selection of T-shirts, hiking gear including hats, ponchos which I really wish we had brought earlier when we got hit by a sudden rain storm, bug spray, sunblock, water bottles, backpacks, walking sticks, and anything else you could possibly want. If you forgot it, they got it! The Day Hiker is conveniently located a half mile from the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park where some of the best hiking trails in the country await you.
